i need something that can download whole web-page with images, styles, frames and save it all to one folder just like a web browser would do.

Where To Get 'website Spider' Bot For PHP?
Hi, I have a somewhat weird request, but I have a legit reason. My new CMS is having performance problems, and we are trying to resolve the issue by implementing a bot or spider that grabs the HTML of the site every 30s. I was wondering if you guys could kindly tell me where to get such bots. The program will be installed on another server with cronjob to run every 15s. The 'website performance' check services out there are limited to 2 minute interval. I need something that hits the target site in question more frequently.

Set Two Cookies For The Same Website, But Not For The Same Url.
It is possible to set two cookies for the same website, but not for the same url? What i means is: you have 1 login form. Out of that loginform, two cookies should be set. One cookie should be set for yoursite.com. The other cookie should be set for subdomain.yoursite.com (like forum.yoursite.com). The information in this cookies will be different.
Website Picture From PHP
does anyone of you know a save method on PHP to relyably, maybe using other programs create scrennshots (thumbnails) of websites? I am the administrator of the open source project (at SourceForge) "TSEP - The Search Engine Project" (http://tsep.sf.net) and we might want to show pictures of the website our search engine has found. The generation process of the thumbnails should be pretty automatic (as much as possible) My tries to find an "optimal" solution did not bring any good results yet, so I am hopeing for better information here.

PHP Website Management
I have just bought a small website written with php & html. The vendors advised me that once I uploaded it to my website I could customise all the templates to give it whatever look I wanted. As a novice, I had no idea how difficult this would be - due to the fact that a php website is very disjointed. Can anyone tell me of any software I can download that will enable me to manage my website so that I can see the structure in it easily and make changes simply. (I thought I was buying 60 sets of templates but what I bought was a site with 60 pages).
XML RSS Reader With BBC Website..
I have made an RSS reader and am testing on the BBC website, and I use this code to grab the contents of the XML file, however when I look at the contents grabbed by my function, and the HTML source of the bbc website XML, they are different... how is that even possible? Anyone have an XML parser that they could test this on please? Ad Rotation On A Website
I am having trouble looking for a script that will rotate images from a standard text file. I have a folder set up with two images that rotate every time the page is refreshed. They also have a hyperlink so that when an image/ad is clicked on it goes to the advertiserments web address. The only problem is that the path to the images and corresponding hyperlink are in a javascript file. Is it possible to reference them from a standard text file so that a non-techie can login to webedit pro and edit the image name and url everytime the ad is being changed ? The script can be java scrip or preferably PHP, once it can reference a .txt file...Im happy

Getting Info From A Website.
I have been doing PHP for over a year now but when I came round to writing a script I discovered that there was a reasonably sizeable gap in my knowledge that I didn't even know where to start finding out about. Anyway this is a reasonably nooby question: If I have a script on http://url-a.com/script.php and I want to get some dynamic information of my friend's site at http://url-b.com/info.php , How can I get it? I need to use get variables in getting it and it must also be server side.

Its also the first shopping cart i've wrote . Personally i find it a bit strange that given all the php scripters on this newsgroup nobody ever posts a url to their work . Website Too Slow
I'm re-programming my Website (www.coaster.ch) in PHP and I find it too slow (although I have ADSL). That's more or less how it functions: Here my tables: 'COASTERS' (code of coaster, code of country, etc...) 'COUNTRIES' (code of country, names of countries in different languages, code of continent) 'CONTINENTS' (code of continent, names of continents in different languages) In my index.php (start site) I use a "while": I look for the first continent. I look for the first country I count all the coasters from 1st country echo country - number of coasters I look for the second country I count all the coasters from 2nd country .... .... I look for last continent.... The search and presentation in tables (I use 5 tables, 1 for each continent) is rapid. The problem is when I go the the sub-site of a country and want to come back to the index site: it takes too much time. Could it be that it is slow because it has to make the whole search again? Can I solve that by making the first search (at the begin of the session with something like requireOnce "search data) and charge all the information in an array and them when returning from a sub site only showing the array? I also thought that perhaps the reason could be that I use tables for continents and countries but otherwise I should have to include all these texts in .inc files...

I use a website at work that you can only get into once you have logged in, is it possible to make a mirror of that site? I would not need the entire site, just the main page. Moduler Website.
I am currently writing a website in PHP and I want to make it moduler....for example if I want to add a news module I want to be able to drop it in the module folder and the website will read it add all the right things to the admin panel so you can integrate the module into your site. I'm having trouble finding the php.ini file on my website (It's running a Unix server). I know it's located at /usr/bin/php, but how can I access the /usr/bin/ folder? Do I need shell access? And can that be done through cPanel?

Website And Tracking Information
i need some information on how you guys would go about making a website that could give you information based on a number you put it. This information will be tracking information on a particular package. The number will be a given number that corresponds with that package. Basically, all the files are dbase files that need to be converted into something readable. Website Alias Frontend
I am creating a PHP/MySQL driven website. I would like to provide other users a sort of customized front-end PHP script which they can install on their own server which will basically act as an alias for my site; that is, when someone goes to WWW.THEIR-SITE.COM they actually see and interract with the content on WWW.MY-SITE.COM, passing back and forth the same GET, POST, and COOKIE vars (uh... that's all I need, right?). I don't just want to forward/redirect them to my site; I want the user to use WWW.THEIR-SITE.COM in the URL and any links in the page (this front-end script would also contain some kind of authentication for "connecting" to my site - but one thing at a time!). I've tinkered with: INCLUDE() - causes problems by using relative paths. FILE_GET_CONTENTS() - see the content well, but can't see GET and POST vars.

Integrating PHP Calendar To Website
First thanks for helping me with my PHP/SSI question from an earlier thread. Allow me to throw another question at the group which should be real simple. I have my PHP calendar script that I uploaded to the server and viewing the calendar directly, it works great. The calendar is located at: mydomain.com/calendar/index.php I want to integrate this on my website, so I added this line to where I want it to appear on the appropriate page: <?php require("calendar/index.php");?> It displays great. Trouble is, the css file and advancing to the next month are not working, because the relative links aren't pointing to the calendar folder, but instead are pointing to the root of mydomain.com. How do I get the links to point to the calendar folder?

I'd like to get fellow PHP writers' opinions on what to charge a client to develop a website for him. I was asked today to develop a graphic-intensive e-commerce site for a gift shop in town. I know that web designers usually charge per page, but it's a different monster for server-side developers since the time we spend creating a site isn't proportional to how many different pages are available for the public to see.
