There is a tmp folder off my account root but I don't think this is the right folder as there is no file called phpBlAw9K in it. Is it possible that I can't use move_uploaded_file() because /tmp is located in an area of the server that I'm not allowed to delete files from? Or is that ludicrous?

I have written a program that opens a page on a games server, using zlib functions, opens the file (gzopen), then uses gzreader to read it. It works fine on a XP Windows Server/CGI for PHP, with the following php.ini settings modified: max_execution_time 360 max_input_time 360 from their defaults of 30 and 60 respectively. But when i try to run the same script on a commercial server running Apache with the defaults set, the script throws the following error: $fp = gzopen($theurl, "r"); Warning: gzopen($theurl): failed to open stream: Connection timed out in online8.php on line 726 What i don't understand, is that it doesn't take 30 seconds to run the script when it is hosted on the Windows XP machine. The problem is the Windows XP machine can only handle 10 max users at a time. I want to be able to port the script to any server.

I am trying to open a file on another server so I can write to it. My code is returning an error. My code is: $f1 = fopen("xxx.xxx.x.xxxc:cd1 est.xml","w"); The error I am getting is Warning fopen(m.xxx.x.xxxc:cd1 estxml) function fopen failed to open stream. Failed To Open Stream Which Attempting To Include File Error
I have file within a directory on the server, for instance index.php inside of a directory called 'About_Us', and I also have includes within a directory called 'includes'. I am trying to reference the include 'meta_tags.inc' as such: <?php require('/includes/meta_tags.inc'); ?> but I continually get a warning and fatal error. No such file or directory. I double checked and all of the necessary files are on the server and everything is being named correctly. I also tried adding ../ and /../ in front of the path and nothing has worked. I believe that this is a problem with the path to the file, but is seems like it would be the correct path.

I've been changing the files in this directory quite a bit, but the warning seems to be random. As per advice on a google search, changed the chmod to 777 for this directory. I've ran into a wierd problem with my script, and i'm quite dumfounded. I'm doing a PHP interface to create directories into a filebank. The idea is that the directories are virtual, they don't truly exist in the server. The directory names are saved into a PostgreSQL table, in quite simple fashion. Am geeting warnig with getimagesize() function. I will explain my query by first giving my code. $src = $_GET['src']; $imageInfo = getimagesize($src); echo $imageInfo[0]." ".$imageInfo[1]; It's working perfectly as i want when, the image is in the absolute path. For example i am running this file under the /dev folder in root directory. In dev i have one more folder called images which contain some jpeg and gif files. Also one more folder called imgs in the root. For easy understanding i picturized my directory stucture here. Root | ----- images --- This contains jpeg and gif files | ----- dev | ----- images --- This also contains jpeg and gif files | ----- imagesize.php --- this is the file contains our code if i run this file by giving http://www.domainname.com/dev/image...rc=images/1.jpg It outputs the correct width and height of the image, but for this http://www.domainname.com/dev/image...c=/images/1.jpg or this http://www.domainname.com/dev/image...../images/1.jpg It wont result any thing, however it thows warning message like this Warning: getimagesize(/images/1.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/htdocs/dev/imagesize.php on line 4. Failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied
I recently had to restart my apache server and ever since then, no scripts that create or upload files to the server are working. I keep getting failed to open stream: Permission denied when trying to create a file or failed to open stream: No such file or directory when trying to upload files when running the scripts. Yes I have checked the most obvious, the folder permissions and they are set to 777 and the owner and group is also correct. I am wondering if there are any settings in my php.ini that may be causing my scripts to fail? Or an apache setting that may have gotten reset?

I have a problem with some of my include files. Before you start saying that is because I have not set the right path to my files, this is not the problem. 90% of the time my pages load corrctly. However 10% of the time I get the following error failed to open stream: No such file or directory when this happens all I have to do is refreash tha page and the file loads correctly. I was wondering if anyone had ever experienced a similar problem and what they did to solve it, I have quite a number of files included throughoutb my pages and wiondered if this could affect the performance.

Fopen(temp/pglog.20050106.log): Failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied
In one of my script i'm trying to apend a daily log file (see script part bellow). When the script runs, this message appears : fopen(temp/pglog.20050106.log): failed to open stream: Permission denied... I've searched in many post and the solution seems to change the permissions (chmod o+777). I did so, but it doesn't change. The server continues not to be able to write in my directory. Any idea ?
