WordPress Front Page Display Problem......What Should I Do?
I use wordpress's latest version.
I found one problem. I set up that from Reading section only 5 post should be visible on my site and also summary size. After click on update button and refresh my browser and see that, my all post are showing on my site's front page and every post also full form. I don't know what's the problem. I am not expert in php.So, I can' fix it.

Update Front Page
Can be written in PHP or PERL. Basically, I'd like to have a server side include on my home page that would include whatever file would display the feed. Then, on the flip side, I'd like some backdoor part where I can go type in a new entry and have it add it to the feed. I know these programs have to exist, but I'm having no luck or I'm finding ones that are 4 years old and are no longer supported.

Add A Link From The Front Page Of Forum
Is there a way I can add a link from the front page of my forum out to my php photo gallery. I would like to make it so instead of clicking on the forum name on the first page which then takes you to a sub forum which then takes you to a thread with the link, To just click on the forum name which takes you to my photo gallery. Next best would be on the front page in the description of the new photo gallery be able to add a link. Which file would I edit to change or add these links? I know I can add a link in the overall_header.tpl but I do not see a way to change the forum name link that takes you from the first forum page to the next.

Add Recently Added Posts Etc To Front Page
I am running a forum and now want to create another front / homepage where i can have other stuff related to the site as well as displaying recently added posts from the forum. I have looked in the database for some sort of date or time that a certain post has been posted but doesnt make sense, it doesnt look like a sort of time and date that is humanly readable?

PHP In WordPress
I have installed WordPress for those who are familiar with it. I noticed that when I use WordPress's built in "Create Page" function It doesn't allow PHP to be entered in. So I downloaded some PHP Plugins for WordPress and Here's my dilema. I'm using a script called linkman, basically it's a site links manager and it allows others to add a link to their site on my site and then checks to see if a reciprocal link is on their site. I've got a site which has an existing custom made user management thingy in it. All PHP and MySQL. It uses sessions. When the administrator logs in, the home page has a new, small menu with some administrative things he can do to update the site. Also just custom made stuff. But now they want WordPress. The owner of the site wants everything baby simple as well. So basically all I want to do is add a new entry in this custom admin menu, for "edit blog" or whatever. And this will go into the WordPress admin panel and already BE logged in to WP. In other words, I don't want the admin to have to log in once to the main site, and then have to log in again for WordPress. I want it all to be together. I can't have WP's user manager take over, because of all the custom stuff. As far as I can see, WP uses a cookie to track who's logged in. So I'm wondering if there is a way to have it auto-login to WP's admin panel when he clicks the "edit blog" button after already being logged in to the main site? In sum, I need to log him into WP through code and no user action. And redirect him to the WP admin panel.

Page Display
I am creating a webpage where I collect data from several queries. There shall only be 25 presentations on each page. As the array is built up from six different queries I have found it hard to present the data as requested. Does anyone have a nice script for displaying this page, and only 25 on each page? PHP 5.x And Wordpress 1.5.2 And Apache 1.3.x
I'm using WP 1.5.2 on Apache 1.3.33 and tried it with both PHP 5.0.4 and php 5.1.0.rc.1 -- and getting seg faults (can't even complete setup) I complete the first step in Setup, and get the seg fault going to the second step. I would welcome any work arounds/solutions people might have. I checked our the wordpress site, http://www.wordpress.org/, but seeing mixed messages. Some folks say the seg fault is there, others say it works with Apache 2.0?

Wordpress Plugin
I'm currently trying to hack a wordpress plugin, but am not having much look. Really all I need to do is add one feature, which I'm fairly certain should only be 3 or 4 lines on php put in the right place. Basically what this plugin does in it's original state is finds any and all media links, then embeds a player for that media type into the page. But on certain links I don't what it to do that, I just want some media links to be plain old media links. So i'm looking for a way for the php script to first look for a class I could write into the html link, which if it finds it stops running the rest of the script, if it doesn't find it, it does run the rest of the script.

I've gotetn the silly "Sorry, you need to enable sending referrers for this feature to work." error in a WordPress install. I have no firewalls, referers function and it happens on both IE and Firefox. I am 99.9999% certain this is NOt an issue of software OTHER then WordPress. What I DID do si following: The blog first ran under blog.domain1.com =. I know want to operate it under domain2.com. I simple configured apache to use the new domain. Appearantly WordPress does not like this. Irronically it won't let me operate teh configuration page in which I want to change the domains. How can I adjust my WP install to function on the new domain?

I need an assist with a coding problem. I don't have any. I am pretty close to code illiterate, so I need to find someone who can crunch up something for me if possible. Myself and another fellow have a website that we use for entertainment purposes, Virtual Airline, no membership fees and everything is free. On this site, we have a MySql database that users transmit data to through a client side app. However, once it is in there, the user can't view the details. What I would like to find some php coding that would. Have an entry that would be hardcoded for that user Would search by his/her id Return date of entries (last one first) Return Departure of each entry Return Destination of each entry Return Time taken of each entry and a link to the dat file sent for each entry. Link Display On Same Page?
I want to list the titles of all my articles from my database onto my webpage at articles.php. Then when the users click on each title, the individual articles will load on the same page. How To Troubleshoot Xml-rpc Error In WordPress?
I'm trying to use a blog client to write messages with "attached" .pdf content to WordPress blogs. WIth the "Direct Upload" mechanism, the attached files work for some types (like .txt) but fails with .pdfs, with a message about an XML parsing error. However, the XML code looks pretty good to my untrained eye, and gives no errors when run through some verifiers , and there are no errors in the httpd logs. As far as I can tell, this is using Incutio's xml-rpc library, but I haven't gotten any response from them (him) about what might be going on - the error message is not too helpful ("Invalid procedure call or argument"). What steps can I take to get some more useful debug info?

If Else Not Working With Wordpress Get_post_meta
I've hacked out a few things on my wordpress bog but can't get this last bit to work. Here's the background: I'm a book blogger, so I enter a custom ISBN field (like a SKU) for each of my book review posts. Wordpress Permalink Structure
I set permalinks to be like this: /%category%/%post_name%/ and now i have nice links to posts: site.com/seo/sample-post site.com/ppc/sample-post But i still have 'wrong' links to categories in sidebar categories menu and in posts meta: site.com/categories/seo/ site.com/categories/ppc/ Clicking this link show the proper category page. Going directly to site.com/photography/ does the same, no errors.

Jump Script And Wordpress
I created a very simple jump script, and then edited a page on my blog so the links use the jump script links. I followed a template, and triple checked all the code, so I am sure that part is right. My question is, where do I put the actual .php file so the links in the jump script actually pick up the code and go where they are supposed to go? I tried a variety of folders (public_html, themes folder, actual theme folder, etc.), but none made the script work. unless I am (quite possibly) missing something else?

Front For Mysql
Are there any good PHP scripts or pre written programs that deal with a complex database? Let me explain: I'm in truck dispatch, and we've moved all tables to mysql and access them on a network via ms access. We will open another office in another city, and will want a "web" database. Now here's what I'm after: Currently one form has various dropdown boxes to pick customer, shipper, consignee, and carrier information. YES, I even have the combos ask (ENTER SEARCH STRING), so all 17000 records do not show up in the dropdown combo boxes. You might enter da for example to get all occurrences of carries that start with da, i.e., Davis Transportation Inc. Currently only about 5 da's. Of course the information in combos are pulled from the customer database via a query. This all being done in ms access with the mysql tables linked. This is a very complex system, and all works perfect on a five computer network. By the way, choosing a shipper in a combobox fills in "ALL" necessary fields for pickup, i.e., Address, contact person, phone number for directions, etc. Can a web database even do something like this? When I migrate to a "Web" database, I am looking for a good PHP script / code / example that can handle this situation of dealing with multiple lookups on one form, and filling in all required information without having to type it in each time. Ok PHP folks can this be done and where are the examples to learn off of? To put it in a nutshell, I know how to populate a table, search, and edit records in php. What I need are example of: Say you are entering a new record, I need a "LOOKUP POPUP TABLE" with a search (enter search string) like above, and a way to select a row, then the "LOOKUP POPUP TABLE" closes and the original record I was entering has certain fields filled in. Liken this to the "Northwind" example that comes with MS Access. In an order example, they have some customer info auto filled in. If all I needed was table / forn / search / edit, I could use DADABIK. And one final question, Do I need a web database, or is it possible to still use MS Access as a front end from another city / state in a client server setup? I know how to network all this but not client / server from a long distance.

Building A Front End
I am building a front end in PHP for a client of mine to dynamically change the "current stock" page help this person be a little more organized, and be able to electronically track their merchandise. Now there is not a lot of merchandise moving through this company, maybe 300-400 items per year at most. So the MYSQL database will not be very large. The kicker is building the forms to query the database. I am coming up with a ton of different ways to filter results. By item category, creator, date created, size, sub category ... this list goes on and is getting longer. Do customers actually use filtering to that extent? I mean at any given time there could be anywhere from 300 - 600 unique items for sale on this site, so to filter them is a good thing, but when does it reach the point where it is too much?

Front End For My E-commerce
I need to create the front end for my e-commerce store. I would appreciate your thoughts on how this could be accomplished using PHP and HTML. At this time, I do not want to use a database. This store will sell license plates, license plate frames, key chains, etc. There are many combinations of vehicle manufacturer, vehicle make, license plate type, etc. What I want to do is have the customer scroll down the page where each line looks something like this: Toyota 4Runner Dual Emblem Plate Chrome Emblem- chrome plate D.4RU.CC $29.95 Add Item To Cart The field names in order are: Manufacturer/Make Plate Type Plate Description Stock Number Price If the user wanted that item, they would click on an "Add Item To Cart" URL at the end of the line which would then need to create an HTML Hidden Form Post to the shopping cart sotware (Mal's e-commerce shopping cart) passing specific data like Plate Description, Stock Number, Quantity Purchased, Price, etc. Using HTML tables would work out great for me but I need to find a way for the hidden form post to know the information to pass. Is PHP somehow able to get the data from the table? Could it access the data in the cells in a row in a table and place the values in variables?

Store Front
I know how to create a store front using php and mysql. What would be the best way to set it up so that members that sign up on my site can create their own store and sell items. I am thinking that I have to create seperate store id's then somehow attach the member's id to the store. I also thought of possibly creating a seperate subdirectory for each member and copy the source code for the store that they will need to install but not sure how to do it plus seems like a lot more work. I would think that utilizing mysql would work the best but need some direction in this area.

Content Will Not Display Until Page Refreshed
I have a web site in php that is (trying to be) a local directory. The first and second pages (index.php and index2.php) do not appear when going to the web site unless you hit the refresh button. The problem occurs with all I know who have visited the page. The problem "disappears" if you visit the site and return in the same browser session -- presumably because it is now in the cache. My first foray into php was to update and expand a local directory I had made originally coded in html. I purchased the php "site" and modified it extensively, learning a very little bit along the way about PHP and MySQL and Apache server. I have submitted the issue to the ISP and to the program writer, each of whom points the finger at each other, and no solution. I have searched the forums to no avail -- I found one post in WirdPress.org that is unanswered, and another post in Joomla which was ansered with several suggestions to edit the .htaccess file, none of which worked. I have cleared my browser many times, but I doubt that is the problem (or else why would everyone who visits have the problem).
