Calender Change The Background Colour
im have made a calender that i want to tie into a sql database , and depending on the value in the database will change the background colour of that day in the calender, the problem im having is with the following:
$colour = "#FF0000"; // this is just to test whether the background colour changes
$cal_event_opentd = "<td align=center bgcolor=#<?php echo $colour;?><b>";
but for some reason the backgroud doesnt change,can anyone tell me where im going wrong.

How To Update Form Input Field Background Colour On Validation Error
I have been searching for form validation scripts for ages and all th ones that I like are far too complicated and inflexible so I decided to stick with my own which is easier to understand. The only thing I don't like which i have seen on better form validation scripts is that and fields with errors are highlighted. i can only presume that they have used php to set the background color of the input field or textarea. Comments Php Script Colour Change
i have just got a free php comment script of the net. but the defualt theme is black text on white back ground. Change Background Color In Table From 2nd Row Onwards?
i am displaying data in a html table with five rows of five columns each, the first row is a title row with blue background, and the 2nd row onwards is the data rows with a radio button. When a user click first row, nothing should happend, but when the user clicks the radio button or any column of the row, I wish to select the radio value (clicked) and set the background color to silver for the entire row of five columns. PHP / HTML Calender
im looking to make an events calender in PHP/HTML. The calender would be simple with a link on each date, once you click on the link it would post the date value to a detailed info page using the GET method, i would then use the date value to search mysql and display that days events on a seperate page. Creating A Calender
I would like to create an online calendar for a friend. It needs to be able to add notes on each day and if possible highlight the boxes. That's all. I promise, I have checked all the posts on this site. I have gone through Google. I have done everything I can. I'm looking for a link to a tutorial, a script that needs little customization or some sort of magical dwarf that could come and do it for me. I really have no clue on anything practical in PHP yet, and what's more I have a horrible feeling that this task could include mySQL and database-y things.... Specific Calender
I'm a designer by trade so PHP can sometimes be a little out of my comfort zone, but thats always a good place to be, right? I have a specific and I should imagine very easy thing i need to set up. I'm making a website for a band who play a lot of live shows. I wonder if anyone has the best solution to make a list of their shows that automatically deletes a show once it's date has passed. You know the way, say, the Myspace live list works. I don't need any fancy calender graphics or anything like that. Just a self-updating list.

Online Booking Calender
I wanted to put a calender on my website to allow people to see up coming clasess we have and allow them to booking/pay for them also. I would add them in the back end and how many spots are availble and when someone clicks on to pay for the class and checks out all the way it would subtract it from the total amount. I would also like it to show on the date when all spots are gone Sold out and when only one is left only 1 spot left. I would like to see if there is a script out already that does this now. Displaying Files In A Folder Using A Calender
I have excel sheets generated daily and weekly in this format for filenames..for daily sheets the filename is Jan-10-2002 (mmm-dd-yyyy) and weekly Week-39-2002. I have a script that uploads to a constant folder all the excel sheets. Is there a script that can display the daily scripts in form of a calender. Make A Colour Transparent
I would like to do is grab an image, determine what colour is at a certain pixel (maybe 10, 10) and then set that colour to transparent for the whole image. Replacing A Colour With An Other In A Truecolor Picture
would anyone know the most efficient way to replace a colour with an other in a truecolor picture? For the moment, I'm doing it manually, looping though the pixels and using imagecolorat() to test the pixel and imagesetpixel() to change its colour if needed, but it's slooooow: a 900x800 picture takes 10 seconds or so to convert one colour, and I will need to convert up to 50 colours.

I use to have this feature on my site about two years ago when i hired someone. It would allow the user to select between two different dates, via a small calender, save it as a variable then query the database. In Background
Here's my situation. I'm creating a website (basically a store) and in the admin section users will want to download zip files of images or products added in the last 7 days, last 2 weeks and the last month. I have scripted a cron to run every 24 hours to zip all the images and this process takes over 1 minute (there's over 6,000 images!!) and the size of this is 250MB. This has now taken me to my quota on my webspace of 500MB (including all the individual images) I have decided the only way to do this is dynamically create the zip when the user requests it. As PHP times out after 30 seconds it needs to do it's stuff in the background and display a message saying something like' We'll email you with the zip file in 5 minutes or so'.

I have a script on my website that takes a long time to run, and it's slowing down my pages. Theres nothing I can do about the wait time on the file. Is there a way to use include or fopen or anything along those lines, to have it execute my file in the background; without having the file that's executing it waiting for it to finish its thing?
