Is there a way in php that I can mark a row in my mysql database and then later so delete these rows that have been marked?

How To Delete MySQL Database.
I've got three hostings with the GoDaddy hosting service. The hostings are supposed to provide only one MySQL database each. I've just recently noticed in the phpMyAdmin program that separate databases, each with the name "test," has appeared in two of the three hostings. I don't know how they got there. I didn't put them there. I contacted GoDaddy's technical support. They said that the "test" databases automatically comes with the phpMyAdmin program. Of course, that's not right. Anyway they said that I could delete the extra database without damaging anything.

Simple Login Page To Delete And Edit Things In Mysql Database
How do I build a simple login page on my site? I need a way to login to my admin area in my webshop, so I can add, delete and edit things in mysql database. I don't need help with add, delete and change things, only the login thing. The users should not even know that there is a admin login page. The users don't login to shop, they just shop so I can't use the user login page because there is no such page. Can someone please give me some guidelines for this?

Single Quote ' Mark From To MYsql
I built a form for my users to fill out, and while testing it out some people told me the they couldn't used the sinlge quote such as in the word "couldn't" When a user types in a single quote, I want the php script to take the single quote and pass it to the Mysql DB so that the correct information can be propperly displayed at a later date. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this without having my user type a back slash before each and every single quote mark ?

I have code that does not delete from a database. The same code (cut an paste in the same file, but different function and having a different query) works. So, of course, I tested the query interactively. I echoed the query and did a cut and paste when interactively connect to the database. That one worked so it isn't the query since interactively it is seeing exactly the same thing as the code produces. I have two tables in my database, one for the folders, where each folder has a parent id and an id itself, and one for the files where each file has a parent id for the folder its in. Now If the user deletes a folder, every file and folder within it, no matter how many there are, should be deleted. Can anyone give me the idea?

How To Delete All Database Entires Older Than 30 Days?
One of the fields in my database is called ad_date which is of date type and stored dates int he format YYYY-MM-DD. I would like to perform a DELETE SQL statement in my PHP script which deletes all records with an ad_date value older than 30 days. I'm looking for some functions or objects allowing to select-insert-update-delete from any table in a mysql database without the need to create a new query every time. When I run the script below, it results in a timeout. Running the commands through phpMyAdmin, results in a timeout too. Table1 has 40,000 records and Table2 has 35,000 records. Simple Mark-up For CMS
I'm designing/coding a content management system in PHP and am currently considering how the users will add textual content. I would like them to be able to use some kind of simple mark-up, like a very limited subset of HTML, probably with a more friendly naming scheme. Does anybody have experience of such a thing? I'm thinking an XML application is the proper answer but when I consider the DTD and parser it seems like an overkill solution if I'm starting from scratch. Does anybody have any advice or suggestions on this? I'm sure it's been done before but I don't know where to look, is there something existing I can use or adapt? Using More Than One Water Mark
Can you create a gd image watermark with 2 separate images? If so, does anyone know where I can see a good example of this. Right now I have a script that creates a image and uses another image to watermark it. But I want to be able to use two separate images to create one watermark on the gd image. The base image is from my file manager; so I am using the imagecreatefrompng() function. Does any one know of a way to accomplish 2 different watermark images as one over the base image?

i cant find the MySQL newsgroup, however i am hoping to pick up on some expert advice from php/mysql gurus here. I'm having some trouble performing a delete across two tables. The tables i have are: questionnaires (id, name); questionnaire_questions (questionnaires_id, id, name, qf_type) The questionnaire_questions table contains a list of questions for a specific questionnaire (indicated by the questonnaires_id). I would like to remove a questionnaire, and when doing so all corresponding questionnaire_questions who have matching id's (questionnaires.id = questionnaire_questions.questionnaires_id). I have this statement, however it only works if a questionnaire has questions... however i would like it to delete even if no questions exist for that specific questionnaire. How To Delete Only Certain Text In A Mysql Row?
I have a table setup that has a column setup as friends and users can add friends to this column no problem. What I would like to know is how to delete only certain parts of the text of the row/cell where their friends are stored. The friends text is seperated by the following : " , " That is a space on either side and comma in the middle of the space. I am building a lunch ordering system for a company. The employees can login, order lunch, and the administrator can see what everyone ordered for lunch in the admin panel. Delete Duplicates In MySQL
I have a database in MySql which has 2 fields. The 1st field is called id which is the primary key. The 2nd field is called full_add where there are some duplicates. I would like to delete all the duplicates in the full_add field leaving only 1 record behind. It does not matter if the corresponding primary key gets deleted as well because the primary key is not related to any other table or database. I prefer not to use temporary tables or create new tables because my webhost does not allocate much memory to me & my database is quite big.

Question Mark Not Working
I'm working on passing vbulletin info into another set of scripts. However, when that is done, the links within the scripts page stop working. Specifically, any link that includes a ? in it. In trying to find info, I believe the links are being abbreviated at the question mark. So, game.php?page=includes/notplayer&id=1048 will not work. (The link is good, and works when I remove the vbulletin info) Again in reading, I tried to change the "?" in the link to use "%3f", but then I get a forbidden error for some strange reason. I'd give a link if I could, but testing is all be done locally for the moment.
