I am trying to pass a var to a frame page with a page.When the page opens the $job_id var is not passed to the frame page within. Is the a way I can pass the $job_id var to the jobdetails frame within the main page.

I have four sections in my page using DIV tag in PHP I have hyperlinks in these DIV tags as well Now what is want is when click on hyperlink in any DIV box or part only content of that DIV portion or box changes rather than rereshing the whole page Currently i have to load the whole page again to get the new contents Its just like when we have frames only the content of frames can be changed rather than loading the whole page.

I had installed a simple php script (obtained for free from the web) that allows a visitor to forward a page to a friend. It worked great but now a spammer is using it to send thousands of emails. Sessions And Redirects - Send Info From Page One To Page Two.
I have a two part form, each part on a seperate page. I want to send info from page one to page two. Thought ok, I use session variables. The problem is that they don't get sent to the second page. Send Email - Page Where You Enter An Email Address And Click Send.
I am interested in creating an "email -this" type ability for a website. I am sure most people have seen an "email -this story" type link that is standard on most news web sites. You click such a link and then it takes you to a page where you enter an email address and click send. The link for the story and the title are not editable. Variables Not Send To Next Page
I have a problem while building an intranet site for my work. When I try to send an variable called id to the next page as in : page.php?id=2 (where 2 is extracted from the database and placed in a while. When I click the link the id is shown in the address bar, but the page isn't getting it. Anyone know how to fix this or what the problem is? i have a website and i have a log in system with php and mysql, that works fine however i want my registered user to be able to send me information by email, they'd fill in a text field then press send. I want to add a 'Send this page to a friend' script to many pages on my site. I'm after a script which can automatically insert the current page URL in to the email that's sent. ie. I do not want a standard visit www.servername.com generic message and URL. Likewise, I don't want to manually customise the script on every page for every URL. i need to be able to send an email back to a person once they have completed a form in the exact format of how they filled it in. ie, as a html page with all the text they entered in the text boxes and selected checkboxes, radio buttons, etc. the problem is the page is very big and has many fields so i was thinking, on my action page i just include a template to achieve this.....and in the template can i do this type of thing: <input type="text" name="<php echo $txtAString ?> " size="12"> //which is the name of the text box on the entry form on the previous page ...will that get the text out of the previous page and put it in with the included template?

a quick question. is it possible to send the header to the client only at the end of the page? I mean when the build of the page by the PHP server is finished. Send A Page To The User's Printer
A little more detail: I want the user to be able to press a form submit button and for a script to fetch member information for multiple members from the database and send the information to the printer to be printed so that each member has its own printed page. Does that make sense? I know I could do this by listing all the member details on one page complete with page breaks and getting the admins to print the page, but would prefer to just send the data to the printer. I've tried researching on the net, but haven't come across a solution yet, which probably means I can't do it, but thought I would ask anyway.

How To Send The User To The Page Is Using The Header() Function.
I am writing a page with sessions. At the start of every page I check to make sure that the user actually has a session by checking for some SESSION variables. On one of my pages I have a form that is to add guests for an event. I have no idea how many guests a particular member is giong to bring and the number of guests is not limited. So to save myself time I wrote a form that will allow you to add one guest and then hit add guest. This will save that guest to the guest table in my MySQL database but then I want to reload the page to have them add another guest. The only problem I am having is that the only way I know how to send the user to the page is using the header() function. This is not working because I have already output data. Is there a better way to do this so that I can one form and not have to have a form input for guests up to 20?

Confirm Page - Send POST Vars On?
I am attempting to change around a payment system, which books users into an event. The user is asked for their details in a form, which is checked for valid data and then passed to a confirm page. The confirm page then passes all data to a payment gateway using a POST form. If payment is approved, the gateway sends a (hidden) GET url to the server confirming the order. The order is sent in this url. However, the new system is passing much more information to the payment gateway, which will not handle the amount of data to send in a GET back to my server. Code:

I want to send a user to a page opened by the secure site that will ask them for their credit card number (I will then store the number temporarily in the database). What must I do that brings the page into "secure" mode where the lock is displayed at the bottom and the user feels "secure" in giving their credit card number. How Can I Send Lots Of Data To A Printer Without Displaying It On The Page
I have a list of clients (about 50,000) that is about 500 pages long. To show this, I have a webpage that lists all the clients and pages them in increments of 100 clients per page. I'd like to be able to print (to a phyiscal printer) the entire list of clients, but the problem is, I don't know how to do it without displaying all 50,000 records on the screen at the same time. This creates a serious memory problem when PHP tries to parse and display all of them at once. Is there a way to somehow run the query and parse the results into a printer spool (like print preview) via PHP headers or something instead of displaying the output to the browser?

URL Masking - Send A Page From Port 80 To Port 6999
I'm sure this has been asked before but I've just signed up to this newsgroup and done a search but can't find anything. What I'm trying to do is to send a page from port 80 to port 6999 but I don't want the :6999 bit to show in the URL address field. Is it possible to either mask or hide this within the header("Location:XXX") call? In other words, if I enter http://www.mysite.com it finds the site using the default port 80 but the information I have is actually on port 6999 so I'm redirecting to http://www.mysite.com:6999 but I don't want the :6999 to be displayed.

HI. I have a very successful private members club with all pages protected via authentication, I now want to include a section using frames, I have this already in html but I wish to have the frameset protected as well. PHP And FRAMES?
I'm developing a website which incorporates a header section at the top, side areas and a central area. If I was developing the site with straight HTML, I'd simply use FRAMES. However, by using PHP I thought I'd be able to get around this as I use a single PHP to decide what information should be present in each area of the page and render it appropriately. However, I also need to incorporate 3rd party HTML files into the centre section/area of my page. As these files include the full HTML page contents ie. with <BODY> and <HEAD> tags I'm wondering how best to do this. As far as I can see, the only way I can do this is to incorporate frames into my PHP code. Without altering the contents of the 3rd party html files, is there any other way of doing this?. If I do have to have frames, what is the best method for integrating them with the PHP code?. Would you have seprate PHP scripts in each frame, or would you have a single script that is capable of generating each frame depending on variables past to it (and extracted using $_GET{}?).

PHP And Frames
I wanna have a web site seperated into two frames (an upper and a lower one). The upper frame contains kinda navigation bar with several buttons. When clicking on a buttons it will change its picture and stays that way. Meanwhile the lower frame switches to the responding URL. How can you do that using PHP ? I did it using JavaScript before, but JavaScript can (and should) be turned off.

Frames
I have index.php which is made through frames: one of them is up, one of them is to the left and the third is the main frame. My web page functions very well, but when I search on Google something on my page (one of the products on my page, for example) and I click on the link, my browser prints only the main frame, without the up and left frames (which are the menus). And I want that all of my frames to be show on screen when I click on that link on Google. I am sure that frames are guily for this problem.

Frames And Css
when i develop a php site on my pc some of the mysql database queries does not work when it is displayed in a page that contains frames but the same piece of code will work fine if the page is display by itself. and when i test the page none of the styles that i define in a external css file every show up the only way. i can get around this is to embed the style sheet code inside the page and this means that i have to do it fory EVERY page which takes up so much time, if there are any other tips anyone can give me on how to configure the apache server faster or how to code faster i would really appreciate it very very much.

Two Frames
My site has two frames, one with a menu system, one with the selected results. I can select a menu item and get the other frame to reflect that selection. But I want to select 'log out' from the menu and remove the menu sytem as well as putting a default welcome page in to 2nd frame.
