Change Language Settings In CS3
Recently i purchased the CS3 Premium design creative suite - the MiddelEast version. I opened the software and i cant understand anything because im used to the english version.
Is there any way I can change the language settings in this version? with a plug-in or anything else?

Change Settings Savepath
Our users do have shared profiles which are limited to a certain size, there are a few of them having trouble with their profile running out of boundaries. This causes for example the problem that the user can not log off. Since Adobe Photoshop (as well as other Adobe products) is writing settings to the Folder "C:Documents and Settings[USERNAME]Application DataAdobe[PRODUCT][VERSION]", this is filling up the profile quite a bit. Is there any possibility to change the Path of this, so the applications are using another savepath for the settings?

PS Default Settings, How To Change
I was wondering how can we change the default setting of PS. If you go to "Blending Options" in PS and click on "Outer Glow/Inner Glow/Drop Shadow/....etc" You will see that these options have already some colors as default, means Drop shadow has black color as default and inner glow and outer glow has yellow as default. I wanted to change these default colors to something else. Like I want to change the YELLOW color of outer and inner glow to WHITE color. Is it possible?

Where To Change The Settings For The Scanned Photo
I am having a scanner - Acer ScanPrisa. I am scanning my photos using photoshop's import command in the file menu. While scanning there exists some settings for correction in the scanner software. Now I would like to know which settings (either settings in the scanner software or the settings in the photoshop) should i use for a scanned photo. Should I first scan without changing any settings in the scanner software and change the settings in the photoshop or to change settings in the scanner software?

Color Settings Change With Resizing...
I have been editing photos in Lightroom. I occasionally take a photo into Photoshop for more editing and when I do this, if I make any change to the program window side, the color changes to a darker, more muted looking photo. If I minimize the program, nothing changes. If I either change the window size to a smaller, non-maximized window or drag it to my secondary display, the color changes to what I am guessing is a different color space. The only way to fix this is to shut down Photoshop and restart it. I am sure this is some setting in Photoshop color settings, but not sure. Should I have my color settings set to my monitor calibration file or should it be Adobe RGB? Not sure what Lightroom edits in. I do have it set up to send the file to Photoshop in Adobe RGB.

Adobe Settings Vs Printer Settings
i recieved a prom pic from my daughter and i was going to print it and frame it, but 2 things happend. The first one was that when i tried to print it it said it was tooooooo big 40inx60in so i resized it to 8.5x11 and it got very blurry, after about an hour i figured out how to get it sharp again (by accident) and forgot how i did it DOH!!! It was some kind of compairson with 4 of the same photo and resizeing the file from 9.5M to about 400kb and actualy adding some blur. The next problem is when i printed it, it was so washed out it looked like an old 70's poloroid but on screen it looks great. Now I've read the color settings section but i think i might have set some settings wrong [U]and i don't think i fully understand what i'm reading . I know there are settings to either let photoshop take care of the printing or let the printer.Personaly i think i would like to let photoshop do it that way any email's or photo's i shoot will have a common baseline. The printer i'm using is an hp psc 2410 and the camera is a minolta dimage7i, is this a good camera / printer. I'm in adobe rgb(1998) mode and i think i saw somwhere in the printer software to choose between adobe rgb or the hp printer.Do these have to match. Language - With PS 7.0
I turn to you with the question regarding Photoshop 7.0. I have purchased this program from the physical person, and this is a German version. The documentation, package and the instruction are published in English, that is why I thought that this program is English version as well. My question is: if I can install English version from different source using my original key? Does my original key contains all language versions of PS7.0 or just the German version? I have registered my key on the Adobe website, and there is no information that it works only with the German version. I know, that PS7.0 is not supported, On my back cover of CD is stickers with this info: PHSP,7.0,RET,IE... and then number. IE means International English? But why on CD I have German version?

Language
I bought a used computer from someone so I am not sure what was previously on his computer. I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS form CNET. After install the language was in Italian. Uninstalling and re-installing does not help. I am thinking that there must be a registry entry somewhere but I cannot find it.

Changing The Language?
I just installed Photoshop and (US English) it's on Spanish or something of the likes. Is there are any to fix this problem without having to reinstall? don't say edit>options ect- I can't translate that into the language.

UK Language Option
Ok, I have "English: UK" set as my interface language, yet I don't see any actual UK spelling anywhere whatsoever. Every single mention of "Color" is not spelled as "Colour", "Gray" when it should be "Grey", "Fibers" -> "Fibres", and most likely others I haven't spotted yet. So what is the point of having the UK language option if it's exactly the same as the US one? Call me picky, but I did choose UK for a reason. It would have been nice to see the correct spelling being used for the language I chose. (Photoshop CS4 Extended)

Adobe CS4 English Language...
indicating this error upon install of CS4. I have Win XP SP3 all updates applied. Minimal services running. No software firewall. Everything installed just fine from Production Premium CS4 EXCEPT Photoshop. Error shown in subject line of this post is issued by installer. Photoshop won't boot stating it is missing files from it's folder.

Unused Language Files
I just indentified over 20,000 files that Adobe installs (CS3, Lightroom,Elements & Premiere Elements) for various languages This gives me the following drawbacks occupes disks spaceslows down virus scansslows down malware scansslows down back-upsslows down my disk imagingincreases disk wear and tearclogs up the system so that indexing screen refreshes etc takes longerlots of small size files have significantly more impact on speed etc than large files. I only use English, I will NEVER install any other language. Can I not delete these files (they should not have been installed in the first place, but I'm assuming Adobe will not change this). I did see one previous question on this but it was unanswered. The sheer scale (something approaching 20% of the total files on my PC) are occupied by what appears to be completely un-necessary files.

CS4 - ATI CCC Settings
I have a ATI Radeon HD 3870 graphics card installed on my Vista computer. Photoshop CS4 randomly crashes or stops letting me use certain functions. Yes, I have the latest driver and Catalyst Control Center (CCC). It seems a little more stable since I disabled GPU Scaling in CCC. Does anyone know what are the best CCC settings for working with CS4? I also deselected the "advanced drawing" in Photoshop's GPU settings. I'm not sure if it's related, but I sometimes get an annoying message telling me I don't have enough RAM to complete my request. Sometimes the request is just to quit the application. I have 4G of RAM and I'm not working with very large files (20M/60M). I don't have any plug ins installed. I never had these problems with CS3.

PSP 7.0 Settings
I installed and, when given a choice of extensions to associate with PSP, I selected all. However, later I changed my mind. Had to uninstall PSP and reinstall. This time, I did not associate .bmp or .jpg files. However, I noticed my .bmp icon had changed a little. Still, it worked OK, so I just let it go. Now, I used IrfanView to save a .bmp pic in .jpg format to My Documents. When I went to view the .jpg file, it has the window icon and I'm given the "Open With" option (have to pick some program to open it). I can't seem to get the .jpg files back to where I can just double-click them to open. **I hope I've explained this OK** Anyway, since I have a legit copy of PSP 7.0, I can reinstall any time. Right now, it's still uninstalled, but I don't know how to get the .jpg files back to where they used to be.

Resolution Settings In PS 6
try to record those steps for action: Image>Image Size --> then change the resolution (a lower res p.e. 50dpi from a 300dpi pic) but want to keep checked the other setings (Constrain porportions and resample image) and click OK --> and stop recording the action keeps the height you have as result from your first (recording) pic !!! and make the next time you use the action all the pics the same height.

Save For Web Settings
After slicing an image, choosing Save For Web, and then choosing one of the jpg presets from the drop down list, then clicking on Save, it shows me in the next "Save Optimized As" window that the Save As Type file type is gif - and there is no jpg on the list that I can choose. Why is my ability to save as jpg slices gone? I've not made any changes to the default settings and I'm not sure how to get it back... I'm only moderately skilled at Photoshop (skilled enough to create my web site mockups and slice and so on...) but if someone could point me in the right direction, or to a tutorial for this process that would be great. Am using Photoshop CS (version 8 or 9?) On this same note, I have noticed that often the slices (when they worked before) will have weird names such as Layout_12-13 or some such "overlapping" of slice numbers although, from what I can tell the slices do not actually overlap... what is THIS all about?

im currently workin between photoshop and flash but am havin problems with the size of my files. I am saving my images form photoshop - for example size 700px x 800px. and then set my stage size within flash to 700px x 800px, but when i import the file into flash they are not set to the values and are a lot smaller?

I am trying to set up my colour settings as a recommended profile supplied by a commercial printer. - Colour Settings - "Working Spaces"- "CMYK" - they recommend the setting should be "Euroscale coated v2" but, i am not given this choice in the dropdown menu. All that is available is - "PS 5 default", "PS 4 default", "Custom", "Load CMYK", "Save CMYK" and, a greyed out "Other". I have also noticed that under "Colour Settings - Settings" - there is not the same choice that I have seen discussed in forums, eg I have seen "North America General Purpose 2" or "Europe General Purpose 2" mentioned, these choices do not appear in my drop down menu, only "PS 5 default spaces", "Custom", "Untitled" and a greyed out "Other" are visible. I suspect that the reason behind this problem is that somewhere else in CS2 i have inadverently changed a setting which affects my choices in the Colour settings.

GPU Settings And Support
going to Edit > Preferences > Performance I read under GPU Settings: No GPU options available with Photoshop Standard. However, placing the mouse cursor over it, the Description box indicates that graphics hardware acceleration is unavailable and I need to upgrade video driver and possibly video card. I dont understand then if it is a PS version issue (am I expected to buy/upgrade anything to have PS use GPU?) or a video driver issue.

CS4 - Save For Web Settings
I am using an sRGB workflow as my output is for the web. I am using a NEC 2690 LCD display which is wide colour gamut but I am using in its factory set sRGB (and non-calibratable) mode. I have calibrated the NEC using my Eye One display and this shows as the default monitor profile in the vga card's driver but what effect it is actually having I am not sure (OS is Vista 32bit). My CS4 colour management settings are based round the sRGB Working Space. Normally I convert to sRGB all images before saving them in Save for Web. I am trying to ensure that the colours I see in images at the Save for Web stage preview are what I will see on the web and in other non colour managed environments. I am trying to achieve: Preset: JPEG High Quality: High Optimize selected (but not Progressive or Embed Colour Profile) Convert to sRGB selected Preview: Use Document Profile In the past (pre-CS4) I've had problems with images outside of CS3 looking over colour saturated and I want to avoid this now.

Cs4 Proof Settings
Can anyone tell me what proof settings to use in cs4?I use adobe rgb exclusively,and my monitor is profiled with a spyder2.What I'm confused about is what should be my default proof settings.I've looked through the posts,but all I see are issue about conversion to srgb for web use and print proofing. What I need to know is what settings to use for everyday editing.The default is working cmyk,which doesn't seem right as most people seem to be using srgb or adobe rgb.Do I use windows rgb,or adobe rgb (already set in edit>color settings) or monitor rgb?And if monitor,then would it be:device to simulate:spyder2express?(my monitor profile) should it be set to:preserve rgb numbers,or set to rendering intent?

Undo Settings
Whenever i make a mistake i press Ctrl+Z but it only go's back one step. I cant find the setting to change it so i can go back about 10 or 20 steps. Is there such a setting? Also, can anybody give me advice about making a (Simple) mouth. I can only make straight line. I tried to curve them with the smudge tool but it looked awful.

CS3 And Printing Settings Win XP
Ive just updated my software from Photoshop 6 to CS3 (with updates), everything is fine apart from the printing. Originally when i went to print to my Epson C2600N colour laser printer from Photoshop 6, the print dialog box would come up and I could then select 600dpi and print and the document would come out perfectly. However now with CS3, it does not give me the option of selecting 600dpi in any place in the print dialog boxes (I have tried to change it manually within the Epson preferences), and I always get a very poor quality printout. Is there a work around to this? After experimenting, I have found that if I go to the File-> Print -> print output -> screen... option, and select 'auto' and use the settings in there the image will print out perfectly. But is there anyway to save these settings as a default so that when I load Photoshop CS3 they will always be loaded and so I dont have to go through changing the settings everytime?
