How Do I Prevent The Blurry Image When Saving A File?
What I have is an alias bitmap (Not anti-alias bitmap) in Phtoshop, when I save it as psd format (photoshop format), the bitmap is preserved. But when I save it as gif or png or whatever, the bitmap become blurs around the edges, making the images be anti-alias bitmap. I don't want that. I want the images to continue to stay alias when saving it into jpeg or png or whatever.

Prevent Form Opening All File Formats
I want to prevent Photoshop from opening all the different file formats. I have vista with fax capabilites when I get a fax it opens in photoshop. THen I can only see the 1st page. All other files that would open a lot quicker in Paint are opening in Photoshop which takes a lot more time to appear. What do I do to stop Photoshop from opening almost all files

Opened Saved File And It's All Blurry?
i've just been using the brush tool to draw and paint around with, and today when I tried to open up a saved project from last night, It came up all blurry and very undetailed compared to when i saved it. I think it might be the saved file was 16 bit, and maybe it's opening it up in 8 bit which is making it blurry? Or maybe my computer can't handle the 16bit and my resolution on the saved file was too high? Also, I was wondering some recommended starting specs (like when I open a new window)

Image Blurry

How To Prevent Color Changes
when I save them they loose alot of their color intencity when opened in Firefox. They still look great in Safari and in Mac OS X previewer, but in Firefox they look pale. I've read alot about this, and have been told to change the color settings from Adobe RGB to sRGB (and then convert old images to that colorspace) but this doesn't work. Why is it that (for exemple) Apple can make their images look the same in Firefox/Safari when I can't (see images below), The image with fire is mine, the other is obviously Apple's.. how do I get my images to look the same in all browsers (as Apple do)?

Smart Objects: How Can I Prevent...
There seem to be 2 kinds of smart objects: One kind where you can replace the contents, no matter what size it has and it will fit into the bounding box of the smart object which is already there.The other kind where this doesn't happen. Is there any way to control that behaviour? I found that in older PS-files, replacing contents always made the new content fit into the bounding box, but since CS3, the transformation stays the same which means I have to rescale the smart-object if the content-size has changed. Example:Imagine a game cover with screenshots on the back side. Now each screenshot is a smartobject.All Screenshots are at 640x480 (assumend the standard screen dpi of 72)Now I found them in a better resolution (1024x768, also 72dpi) and replace the old ones with "replace content". The old photoshop behaviour: Photoshop would fit the larger image to occupy exactly the same area than it's predecessor.The new behaviour: The whole Smartobject is enlarged by 160% (not the transformation parameters, the visual appearance.), I have to scale it down to make it fit to the old size. And I really wonder about having older and newer Photoshop-Files where these Smartobjects behave differently.Now did I miss something in the help section or is there a way to control this behaviour?

Prevent Registration Info Availability...
Within Photoshop a user can view our registered serial number copy it down and use it elsewhere. Is there anyway to protect/hide our serial number? I am guessing not, in which case is it possible to have activation for our serial number via phone only adn we have a verbal password?

Saving File To A Cd Using CS3
I am unable to save or "save as" any file to a cd while in PHotoshop CS3. I get the error message "Program error" I can save the file to the desktop or pictures program, then can save it to a cd. Adobe personnel said it is a windows error. Has anyone had this problem. How was it resolved?

Log File Not Saving
I have it turned on, saving both and set to detailed. It was saving up until November 11th. Nothing after that has been saved. It was rather large so I cleared it out, opened Photoshop and did some stuff, went back, the log was empty.

Saving A Path In A Jpg File?
I'm using Windows Vista, CS4. I seem to remember that I could save paths inside of a Jpg file using previous versions of CS. I use the "Save As" command and save as a Jpg format but when I re-open the file the path is not there. Also, files previously saved as Jpeg's in older CS versions that I know had paths do not show those paths when opened in CS4. Is this some setting or something? I did change several settings, it now opens all files in Camera Raw directly. I by-passed that by holding down the shift key when opening a Jpeg but the paths are still not there. I also have an action running when I open that duplicates the layer, could that be it?

Saving .tiff File
I am trying to save a .psd to a .tiff file. My .psd has a couple layers and a drop shadow effect. When I save the file seems to be fine until i veiw it in any Windows or Microsoft view, thumbnail view or application such as word, it looks squeezed and totally washed out of colour and almost transparant? I have saved like this before and never encountered this problem. It seems to appear properly when opened in InDesign, Photoshop. I use these photos to send to other people who will be viewing them and using them in Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, so I'm concerned that it won't open properly for them. I am using Photoshop CS and Microsoft Windows Windows XP Professionl Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

File Saving Woes
I've had to submit a bunch of pics lately and they needed some work done. The files were jpgs and when I finished work on them I chose save as, I didn't want to effect the original file. So I selected save as and saved them as tiffs. When the files went to my desktop they were still labeled as jpegs but the files size had tripled. I tried to open them in PS shop but it said it was an unreadable jpeg. What's going on? Why can't I save a JPG as a tiff? Also is there anyway to get PS to add the file tag? I use a mac and it doesn't put jpg or tiff at the end of the file name. I need it for my online printer.

File Saving :: Name Of Folder?
When no file name is specified, Photoshop saves file to the root directory of the drive instead of the current folder. It auto names the image with the name of the folder that was active. Can this be fixed? I was using "save for web"--not sure if it that matters.

File Size Discrepancy After Saving As...
I used a commercial scanning system at the local library that saved files via THE GIMP as a png file.  I saved the file to flash drive and copied to my desktop at home.  On my desktop, the file is 21.3 MB in size. I load it with Photoshop CS4 and immediately save it.  The file size is now 1.6 MB. I compare the two files side by side and find that the pixel per inch are the same on both (4720X4720) and neither is compressed.   Both images appear to be identical.  What is the reason for the dramatic difference in file size?Â

PS CS2 On Vista Opening Or Saving File...
I try to open a file from inside Photoshop CS2 on my new Windows Vista laptop, if I try to change directories by clicking on the directory list on the left side of the open window, I get an error: "Adobe Version Cue - The operation could not be completed. There was a problem with the selected file or folder. It might have been moved, renamed, or deleted. - Error Code -6640" I does this while saving too, which means I have to save files, then go back into Explorer and move them manually.

Saving For Correct File Size?
I have recently created psd files for a wedding album. The album company will accept psd files or jpegs. The jpegs need to be at least 30MB. The psd file sizes are around 108MB. When I save them as jpeg at the highest quality I am not getting anything larger then 10MB. I am trying to avoid having to upload 32 psd files thru ftp.

Saving File For Email Blast
I'm working on a file (image / text) for an email blast which needs to be really small. I've worked on the file in photoshop and illustrator and have saved it as a PDF in photoshop at about 500k which keeps it at a really high quality. Problem Saving Files & File Extensions
WE just bought an educational licence of design standard and it been installed on our networked computers. It seems to be working fine on my computer apart from a bug maybe with adding colours to the gradient map. but thats not why im posting. If a pupil logs on and opens a new file does some work and then tries to save in a photoshop file format this will work the first time but on a second attempt if they save as another file with a new file name it will say there is a copy of that file when clearly ther isnt. If they say that they want to copy over the file it will save the file but photoshop will not open that file again unable to open wrong file format. anybody have any idea why photoshop may be acting like this it seems to be a file format issue..

Blurry Photo
I have a photo but it's pretty blurry. My SLR was set on Manual mode, and I went to take a photo, but the people moved, and it came out very blurry. Is there any way that I can make it less blurry so that I can print it out? I tried the unsharp mask, but after a couple of times it just looks strange. Maybe I wasn't doing it right, or there's another way?

Fonts Are Blurry?
I am a magician and I would like to design my own, custom playing cards (special gaffs). The first thing I needed to do was to get the sizr of the card right. With that, I had no problem. Next, I needed to insert the number of the playing ard (in this case I was using 8 ). I had downloaded a special playing card font, used for bicycle cards to acheive this. The problem came up when I typed in the font. It is just too fuzzy. If you take a look at a normal playing card, the image is thin,and sharp. the image I got, was fat, and too blurry. I have tried those buttons at the top, I think it is the anti aliasing method or something.

Blurry Scan
I'm trying to scan a slide that has some scratches. If I scan it with the Digital ICE on, the scan comes out blurry (there are some numbers in the image which end up illegible). If I turn the Digital ICE off, the scan comes out sharp, but full of defects which would take a long time to retouch. Any way to get a sharp scan with the ICE on?

Corrupt Image Saving
I try to save a .jpg or .png, the image file is corrupted. With JPEG's, it'll display most of the image, and then the rest will be just grayed out. With PNG's, I will get just a Red X in Internet Explorer, and a "image cannot be displayed because it contains errors." in Firefox.

PSD Keeps Saving Image As 32 Bit Depth...
I have some third-party presentation software that requires all images be 8-bit. So I used Photoshop for all photo editing and made sure my PSDs were 8-bit before exporting stills (PNGs) for my presentation. 50+ PNGs were successfully created this way, but i'm having problems with a single file. When I open the correct files in Windwos Pic/Fax View, right click, show properties, go to Summery (advanaced), all the correct files have a bit depth listed as 24. My problematic PSD says it's in 8-bit, but the PNGs that I create from it are consistently listed as having 32 bit depth in Windows Pic/Fax View. As a test I exported other images formats (TIFFs, JPEGs, etc...) and they all came out as 32 bit depth. How do I fix this? I tried opening the PSD, saving as different name, switching to 16-bit and then back to 8-bit, still didn't work.

No Image Folder When Saving For Web?
I have sliced up my image, and optimized it using save for web and devices, but when i save it out to a folder, i do not get a seperate image folder with all my pics in. My images and html file are all in the same folder. If i create my own image folder and drag the images into it, then it breaks the link in the html page.

Undo Blurry Text In Jpg
i'm new to photoshop so i'm not familiar with the commands etc... i have figured out how to make text blurry by doing numerous web searches. however, i have not figured out how to make text un blurry... i was working with a jpg image with some blurry text and i'm not sure how to correctly highlight that section of the image and just change the text to make it legible.
