My Curved Corners Are Always Showing Up Jagged In Browsers
I am using Photoshop 7.0 I am trying to create two simple rounded corner gif banners for a web page, but can't seem to get the corners "un-jagged". I am by no means an experienced PS user but here is how I go about it: I create a new image 830X40 pixels to fit my web page, fill it with a gradient fill to match the web page colors and then create another image at 50X50 pixels with 72 ppi resolution. On the latter image I draw an circle on the canvas with the elliptical marquee tool with anti-aliasing checked off and feathering set to 0 and fill it with the foreground color, then I draw a square on 1/4 of the circle with the rectangle marquee tool, copy that and paste it into the 830X40 image as a new layer and move it to its corresponding end. Then I erase just enough of the first layer to get my rounded corner. The process is repeated for the other end switching to background color to match the other end. I then choose "save for web" with all layers visible, and save it as a gif file called "topbanner.gif" with the transparency button checked and no transparancy dither. I then flip the whole canvas and save it again as "bottombanner.gif" with the same settings. The problem is it looks ok in PS, but when I view the page there is still somewhat jagged edges. (My monitor is set at 1280X960 32 bit color) I have played with the dithering options when saving as a gif, but to no avail. I have also used higher resolutions (eg. 100 ppi) for the circle image but that doesnt seem to help either. Should I be using image ready to do this? (which I know even less about)

How To Make Beautifull Corners?
I'm creating an emblem for one of my classes and I have a problem... The edges with drop shadow and other presets look awfull, you have any idea how can I fix them? Or should I just save the image and then use the lasso and smudge tool...?

Make New Images From Guides?
Is there some way to make new images based on the guides? I have a file I need to cut into smaller ones, and I've put guides to block everything off -- but guides seem mostly cosmetic / snap to grid, and less useful otherwise.

How To Make A Grid Over Many Images?
I used this to make a grid. Is there an easier way to make a 16 squares X 16 squares grid so that the grid scales with the image size but remains 16X16? Basically I want to add a 16X16 grid to hundreds of images. Also, how do I put the same grid over many images, like a few hundred?

Trying To Crop Multiple Images At Once To Make A GIF. How?
I decided to make a lot of GIF files (from a dvd concert). Took all the necessary jpeg screenshots to make my gif files. Go to PS and I crop each one by one to my specifications. However, after a couple hundred crops my fingers are hurting! I am tired of cropping each jpeg file. Is there a way to simulataneously select all of my jpeg images and crop them all at once with one swoop? If so, how would I be able to do it? Then, I can use ImageReady and import those images and create my gif file correct?

Curved Paths
I am working my way through both Martin Evenings "PSCS for Photographers" and Barbara Obermeiers "PSCS for Dummies" (thats me I think) and I'm really struggling to understand curved paths.Does anyone know of a site that explains them in very basic terms i.e. kids stuff?. As I understand it when I drag from a straight segment to create a new path for a curve and release the mouse and I should get an anchor point and one direction line and one direction point,but all I seem to get is what appears to be a tiny plus sign at the end of the line.

Curved Line?
Is it possible to draw a curved line, preferably with arrows at one or both ends? Lines drawn with the freeform brush are too jaggedy; I'm looking for something with intermediate handles that will make smooth curved leaders for text annotation of features in photos. I've figured out how to make paths...what I'm trying to do is make a line that follows a path - without having the program "fill in" the path-defined region.

Curved Boxes
I want to kno how to achive curved lines, in PS as are used in curved graphics for the tops of say a box on a web page, eg. on the right hand side the curved boxes title "take action" etc, how do i get the correct edges for the top part in PS This kind of stuff makes my layouts look bland when i use normal HTML tables not being able to round stuff off to look neater.

Shapes/Elipses Curved To An Arc?
I am attempting to redo this logo for a client and cannot seem to find a simple way of getting the circles to slightly get bigger each time and then follow an arc round. Curved Edge To A Rectangle
I have a rectangle and I need to drag the bottom corners up, leaving the centre section in place to create a curve along the bottom edge. What I don't want is to create a mask to hide the bottom corners, as I need the image on the left and right edges to compress as I drag it up.

Curved Spacetime Image
I'm trying to create a solid black-line-only (clear background), maybe with some grey scale, image of curved spacetime; a good example would be that field around a black hole. Really Simple Curved Line

Creating Curved Lines Like In
I'm working on a map and need to have curved lines ending in arrows. When I use the line tool it only makes straight lines. When I use the pen tool it only makes solid shapes. I wish to use a tool that acts like the pen tool in illustrator - will give me a line that I am able to curve as I choose, at the thickness I choose, in the color I choose. I've spent an hour trying different tools to achieve this and no luck. A coworker suggested creating the lines in illustrator then importing them, however that seems counterproductive and I can't believe Photoshop can't do something as simple as making a curved line!
