How To Resize Animated GIF
i just started using PS CS3 and i got this problem. I know this is easy in IR but in PS CS3 when i resize the animated gif the animation is gone and in animation window it seems there is is only 1 frame i can find everytime I opened an animated gif.
Is PS CS3 can't open animated GIF?

Drag Resize Doesn't Resize Dual Brushes
It has come to my attention that the new drag-resize feature only changes the master diameter of the brush but leaves the dual-brush diameter intact. It is the only shortcut that does this resizing improperly. I would like to know if everyone else experiences the same problem. Is it a bug or is this way of resizing intended? I mainly do digital paintings and this small bug makes the feature useless for me. I hope that it will be fixed at least in cs5.

Animated GIF
I am trying to make an animated gif where an object starts at one end of the logo text and moves across and back. During the across and back I want to use the motion blur filter to simulate motion on the image. I want the at symblol below to move across the logo text and then back. On the far right image and the far left image I want it to look regular (no effect) then all the tween ones I want to have a motion blur.

Animated Gif On PSD
I have a video (.mov) and I opened image ready, made the animated gif. So i have a functioning animated gif of a hockey fight. I also have a pre-made .psd for my signature which includes a background, and another image. I have several problems. I can transfer the gif over, and put it on the PSD. 1) The file size goes from 2.7mb to 112mb. ... WTF? 2) When i try and save it, it will only save the current layer/frame of what it sees. Therefor no more animated gif. 3) Also, how do I change the opacity of this? I would like to layer mask the finished product, then reveal using the brush with an opacity of about 75%, but the option is not available with linked-layers.

Animated Gif
I downloaded a gif and opened it in Image Ready and proceeded to modify the nine frames it had to show a different face than the one it had. After every frame mod I ran it in ImageReady to make sure it was working ok. Once I had completed the mod I ran it again and it worked perfectly I then "Save Optimized As" and gave it a title and downloaded it to my desktop. From there I opened it up in Safari to see if it worked ok and it worked but the face which had been so clear in ImageReady was now all spreckled with dots. I tried to open it in ImageReady again and got the same results it was now spreckled with dots. The original image was a black and white and the face I added was in colour but not sure if that would cause a problem seeing as it worked ok in ImageReady. I have added 2 pics so you can see the difference. I am using a G4 Mac with PS-CS2

Animated .gif
This animated .gif occupies the upper-left corner of a web page on my site. It is tabled to connect perfectly with a horizontal menu bar (you can see part of the menu bar in the image below). I created the ripples using Redfield Plugins. I created these ripples because the corner of my web page needed something. I initially experimented with Greg's Plasma Effect inside various shapes, but decided to try for something a little more mellow. I settled on these magic ripples. Unfortunately, they need some help. I'm not sure what's missing. They need to be a little more glossy, perhaps. Or maybe some highlights, and possibly some reflections. I'm asking for your feedback and/or suggestions for improvement.

I made an animated gif in photoshop and saved it and made sure it worked. My problem is that I have a psd file that I am trying to put the animated gif into. When I try to paste it into my psd, it say that it will lose information if i save over it. I do not know what to do?! How do i put an animate gif into a psd? I tried to go into image ready and save the psd into an html and then open the html in dreamweaver and replace the pic but it doesn't let me either because it saved the psd as a jpg and created an html and I cant put an image of the jpeg that was made in dreamweaver.

problem with a series of animated gif files. They're all japanese Kanji. so there are 3 frames (as you can see), a white frame, a frame with the first stroke, and a third frame with the final stroke. Now i want to edit the frames, but when i open it in photoshop i can only view the first frame (the blank screen). And i can't get to the other frames in imageready. How can i get to the remaining 2 frames ?

Resize To An Icon?
Okay so I am able to create these really great looking icons, and I usually create them at 160h x 480w. Now what I want to do is shrink them down to actual icon size like 16x48. But the thing is they look like crap when I shrink them down. First and foremost I am a programmer not a designer. But does anyone know any tutorials on how to make small *crisp* icons? I just dont understand how to make small icons that look decent. I am very framiliar with photoshop (several years worth) Not so much illustrator.... but this small sized image issue is giving me a real headache any suggestions?

Resize Photos?
I need to take around 100 different photos every day and resize them to 7 different sizes in 7 different folders. Can I automate this process so I place the 100 originals in one folder, open photoshop, run a proceess that will cut all 7 sizes and place the new sizes in the correct folders, all in one action? Resize Action With Pdf
I'm currently having problems with the batch feature regarding pdf files which I can't figure out. My main task is to automatically resize several (50+) pdf files in a folder, save them for web as jpg and then close the original file without saving it. I've tried to make an action for this, but I only end up getting errors or Photoshop trying to overwrite the same file all the time when saving the images. I did manage to make a successful action which worked as batch if I had all the files open in Photoshop, but that's not really what I'm after since I then have to open all the 50+ files first manually. What I would want is for Photoshop to go through all the pdf files in my source folder - resize them - save for web - close original image wihtout saving. I'm currently using Photoshop CS2 if that's any help. Is there anyone who can help? A step-by-step solution would be greatly appreciated!

How To Resize 300 Jpg Files?
I have about 300 images (jpg) in a folder. I need to resize all of them. Each file is about 2.2mb. I tried using Action to help out but the problem is I have to keep pressing 'play' for each image and I'm kinda tired and bored by doing all of them. Is there a better way to use Action to do all my 300 without me having to do it one by one?

I've a load of images for an image gallery I'm making in Flash. So they centre correctly I want to make each image, say, 400px x 400px, and if they're landscape images they'll have white space at the top and bottom, and sides if they're portrait. I know about 'fit to image' in the batch menu but that removes the unused background.

Is it possible to create animated gifs with photoshop CS3? Is so, how? I have played around with my sisters version on her computer before I purchase my own version and cannot figure it out. If not, which version of photoshop would you recomend I upgrade to? I am familar with version 7 on my old computer which crashed a while ago. I have since purchased a laptop, but since I didn't have the cd of photoshop 7.0 from my original license I have to repurchase.

When To Resize Images For The Web
I have my own personal scheme for how to do images for the web, which includes an initial cropping and scaling down to 700 pixel width or 600 pixel height, followed by different image manipulations. I just recently got Scott Kelby's book on his 7-point system and it seems that these examples are all for print use and he doesn't seem to scale his images down (haven't read the whole book yet, so perhaps he discuss this later on). But my question is, when is the best time to do the scaling down if one follows Scott's scheme and just want to use the images for posting on the net, is it early on after doing the initial raw adjustments or is at the very end before doing the last sharpening.

Animated Gif Editing
I have an animated gif that I would like to edit. Basically, I just want to add one element that stays in one spot. For some reason I can't achieve this. My element moves. Let's say, you have a person walking and I want to add sun to the picture which doesn't move. How would I do that? I tried to do that in ImageReady but my sun becomes a separate layer and it moves so it's always the same distance from the person walking, but I want the sun to stay and therefore the distance between the sun and the person change.

Can't Open Animated GIF, Even With...
I know a lot of people have had trouble with opening animated .gifs in photoshop cs3. I had that problem until I learned the little "trick" you could do (type *.* in "import video frames to layers") and then simply open the gif. This has worked one my computer for some time, but then all of a sudden it stopped working. I thought it was odd and then I formatted my computer and installed a few windows updates and then installed adobe photoshop cs3 and then quicktime. But it still won't open GIF as it used to do. And it's very odd, as my laptop can do it (and it has just been newly reformatted too).

Trouble With My Animated .gif
I've made animated .gifs before without this problem: I have taken 12 seperate .gif images, converted them to RGB mode, dropped them all into the same Photoshop file, and then jumped to Imageready to create frames for each layer. Upon clicking "Save Optimized As", I get the following warning: "Because JPG, PNG, and WBMP do not support animation, Imageready will save only the current frame." I don't understand what I've missed. All 12 original images were .gif. I had to convert them to RGB mode in order to create a 12 layer file, but don't think that is what is causing this issue. Any ideas?

Why Is My Animated Gif Getting Cut Off In IE But Not Firefox?
i was playing around with my myspace page and I made an animated gif for my online status. Inside firefox it displays it correctly. I can even open up the file with image ready and see that it is saved correctly. But when i open it up in IE, like 4 rows of pixles are cut off from the bottom. (On the text only.) The skull is left alone fine. Why in the heck does it do that? If i do a Preview in > Internet Explorer... it still cuts off the pixles. Any ideas?

Animated Gifs
I'm just dabbling with simple animated gifs and I've ran into a little problem. I downloaded 3 gifs from a web site and opened them into PS and then jumped to Image Ready to view the frames in each of them. Two of them open up and show the frames but the 3rd one doesn't. It only shows one frame. It appears to try open a number of frames when I first open it up in Image Ready but quickly goes back to one. Why is the gif any different to the others. It is an animated gif I made sure of that before and after I had tried to open it. I'm using a Mac.
