How To Divide Picture Into 9 Equal Squares/rectangles?
simple way to do this with Photoshop (I have CS)? I need the nine separate jpeg images for the flash version, I understand this example is just one jpeg and is used in the standard html version of a template I have....
Curious is there is way that is automated to do this. I can rotate each section (image) as needed for the spot, but want to take a picture and cut it into equal squares.

I am looking for an action preferably or direction to the steps to perform the following process. Take a single image. (Picture taken from my Digital Rebel) Equally divide the image into 9 separate images Print each image onto a 4X6, 5X7, Standard size frame, etc. Lay out the images next to each other in a grid to make a larger (poster size) picture. where I can find an action to create my own action to do this?

Why Doesn't An Inch In Photoshop Equal...
When I create an image of a grid with one inch spacing and print it on my Epson R1800 the grid spacing on the print is not one inch wide (an 8 inch wide grid prints as 8.25 inches). No scaling is being done, resolution of the image is 100 pixels/inch. This is not a question about preview size, I don't care about that. I just want to know the best way to match up what Photoshop thinks is an inch and what my printer thinks is an inch. I am hoping that there is some way to calibrate it once so I don't have to scale each picture before I print it. I am assuming this is a Photoshop issue and not an Epson printer issue because grids created in MS Word print exactly the right size.

How Can I Make A 6 Sided Shape With No Equal Length Sides?
Can anyone advise how I can draw (from scratch) a 6 sided shape. I cant post an image on here (as I'm a newbie to this forum its going to be hard to explain without an image) Superman Logo and then rather than a point at the bottom imagine a flat extra line (so it then has 6 sides rather than 5) I can make a 6 sided shape no problem, but it always has equal length sides when I first produce it, So I goto Transform>skew (as I would image I could change its shape with) it just never looks right. I take it I either want to drag the corners in and out or to perhaps input the details of size/length/angles etc (but I imagine this will take too long). It is even possible to make this image in 1 go?

Adjust Radius On Rounded Rectangles
Is it possible to adjust the radius of the rounded rectangles after you have placed the rectangle on a layer? am moving from Fireworks. In fireworks, you had a drag handle to quickly and easily adjust the radius for all or individual corners. I can't seem to find that funtionality in Photoshop. I have found how to create the rectangles and adjust the radius before I place them in a layer, but not after.

Breaking A Texture Into Squares?
I am in the business of 3d design, and have recently been learning a lot about the software I use. It works best with square textures (512x512 and maybe 1024x1024). Some of the textures i create for my models are tall and narrow, or short and skinny. For example, on a 600 foot skyscraper, my texture may be 1024x4096. What I normally do is manually cut this image into 4 textures that are 1024x1024, and apply them to their respective places on the face so the exporter doesn't diminish the quality as much. (The exporter I use takes the longest dimension of the face in the 3d model and reduces it to 512px wide, and so in this example the short dimension would become 128px, which is very low res, imo). Is there a script that would better serve my purposes here, that would breakwhatever image i am editing in Photoshop into square chunks? In the most extreme case, I had to take an image that was 1024x24576, and chop it into 8 different images, and i remember this process being difficult to accomplish seemlessly.

Action To 'dice' Images Into Sequentially Numbered Little Squares?
I need a way to take images of a preset size and slice them up into seperate little image squares which are each saved with a sequential number starting with the first square (top left) but in a grid type pattern - so the first square would be saved as '1-1.jpg' and the one to the right of it would be '1-2.jpg' and the one to the right of that would be '1-3.jpg' etc. Then the next row would be like '2-1.jpg', '2-2.jpg', 2-3.jpg' etc. and so on. Is there anyone who would possibly be able to help write an action to do this automatically? I know it's a large request but I'm not so good with complex actions and don't know where to begin with this. Please help if you can. The final 'diced' images are to be used in a website which is a college project of mine, I'm fine with building the website, I'm just not so good with actions and really don't want to have to slice a number images individually (I'm currently estimating there will be a large number of little squares per image - something in the region 300 or so...). If anyone can help I'll work out the exact figures and dimensions so it can be done.

Soft / Blurred Edges To Rectangles When Drawn With Grid / Guidelines Showing
I've got a very annoying problem. When drawing rectangles with grid / guidelines showing using 960 Grid System (although it happens with other documents as well), the edges of the rectangle are not sharp, e.g. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/6232/blurred.png - note top and right side is blurred. There are no styles applied. When I switch off grids / guidelines, the rectangles are always sharp. Also, resizing rectangles causes loss of sharpness to edges. Using CS4.

Easy Way To Align Sections Of Paths That Are Not Squares. And Putting Paths Together
my friend and i are working on our own template for a website we're working on and we are having some trouble with the sidebar design we wanted to use. it involves multiple lines and cuts and such that we made using paths, and to our dismay we didn't space them far enough apart so when the paths were drawn in it just looked like blobby rectangles. we want to re-do it with better spacing but we don't want to go through all the trouble to align up the paths again using transform boxes like we did before, they're not very helpful when trying to align things that are not squares. any tricks we're missing?

Picture On Top Of Picture For Web Use
What is a common way to lay one photo on top of a portion of another? The images are large files that will need be saved as smaller jpegs. One image would be700 by 400ppi. The other, which overlays directly atop, is 200 x400ppi. The overlay is not a transparent or merging double-image effect. It's a solid photo cutting across a section of aother photo. I can do this fine in InDesign, however the web desinger will want to have the composite photo as one file, ready for the web.
