Insert JPEG Into PSD Layer Using VB
I'am trying to add an image (.jpg format) into the .psd file containing few layers.
I am able to do the same directly from photoshop by just selecting the portion of the layer where i need to insert image using pen tool then paste the image and resized it.

I've got a Photoshop file that someone wants me to use as a template. It has an existing layer that I need to put a picture into without modifying the layer or creating a new one. Everytime I add a picture it comes up as a new layer. How can I add it to the existing one?

Removing A 'layer' From A Jpeg
My young son has damaged a couple of important photos by using Paint. He's drawn over them and somehow saved his work. These pictures are in jpeg format. I am writing just to check that these photos are lost forever or whether there was some very clever way of getting them back, by removing the added lines boxes etc.

How Do You Save A Layer(s) As A Jpeg Without Saving The Whole Canvas?
i want to export the little button in the top left hand corner that sais "Westcoast" (which consists of 2 layers) as a jpeg without exporting the whole photoshop file. The only way i know how to do this is hide all the other layers and size the canvas around that little button. And even then the canvas is rectangular while the button has curved edges...so some of the canvas would still be showing.

Open Jpeg --> Add A Small Thing --> Export Brighter Jpeg?
I'm using a Mac. My windows friend sent me a jpeg of a piece of art we're working on. It looked fine in the web browser. It looked fine in Preview when I opened it, and it looked fine in Photoshop. But when I save it from photoshop after adding just a small thing to the image, the whole thing comes out a bit brighter. I have no idea what's doing it. I've tried Save For Web and Save As and it comes out the same each time. I have played with color settings in the past slightly, but it was my understanding that only affected how photoshop displays the image and I wouldn't expect it to change an image I imported then exported again.

I am creating some templates in Photoshop Elements 6. To make it easier to add photos I would like to insert those photoframes where you insert a photo and the photo automatically fits into the frame. If I insert a photo onto a new layer the photo frame will appear under the photo so the question is if you can insert the frame without the photo?

CS4 Trial Wants Me To Insert CD?
I download the 30-day trial version of cs4-extended from adobe, using the Akamai Download Manager, the .exe and the .7z were 100% downloaded, everything fine, I extracted them and began the installation, but just at the last part where the installation is supposed to begin it wants me to put the cs4 cd in. do I need to copy the 2 downloaded files to a cd first and run them off of it?

Installing Insert Disc 2
i recently downloaded the trial of Adobe Photoshop CS3 Elements (from Adobe's website), I want to see what this program is like before purchasing. The files extracted with no problems, but once near the end of the install i get a prompt telling me to insert disc 2, now because this is the downloaded trial, there is no disc to. I am running Windows XP Media Edition (SP2)and am out of ideas. I have tried ruffly 3 times, re-downloading every time, and still I still get the same message.

How Do I Insert A Flyer Made In...
I made a flyer in Photoshop, I saved it as a JPG. Then I went into my email client AOL to insert it into the body of the email to send out to my clientele. I sent it to myself first to check the resolution etc. The problem is I cannot get it to keep the orginal aspect ration within the email. I compared it to other flyers sent to me, that were produced in Photoshop, I checked all the specs and everything in them matched mine. When I put them into the email the retained their orginal format.

Insert Animated .gif Into .psd File
I created an animated gif in ulead cool 3d. I also have a psd file that is used for a web banner. It contains slices and several different layers including some rollovers. What I want to be able to do is insert the animated gif into the psd file and have it still work as an animated gif while keeping the original psd file intact. Not quite sure what I need to do to get this to work since I am sort of a noob when it comes to graphic design.

How To Insert Symbols In Images
I sometimes need to write a quick "Copyright" statement on my images and I'm having difficulty trying to find the following: ©®™ - I copied this from FrontPage's symbol feature. Where do I find these symbols in Photoshop7, especially the copyright symbol? Cut And Insert Object Into New Picture
I've been using photoshop for a while with no problems, but last night I tried and failed to cut a picture of me (snowboarding down a small slope) from photo 1, and paste this into another photo 2 (a picture of a pro jumping through the air). After removing the professional snowboarder from the photo, using the clone tool, I pasted my picture onto the photo. Thereby making myself look like a pro. (long story about me and a competetive friend). Alas I was massive compared to photo 2. I was bigger than the ski-slope itself. I tried to shrink myself, but my picture changed resolution, my photo wasn't cut properly, and so many other problems. I looked through the helpfiles and found stuff about layers, but nothing about cropping, pasting, resizing.

I created a webiste from PSD sliced template. The template had User Name and Password section. After exporting for web I can not seem to figure out how to insert a form into the html page generated from PSD temaplte with slices. Create An Action: Insert Square Box In

Automatic Insert Of Keywords In Meta Data
I have a large database of images and have keywords for each photo. they are stored in the moment in a excel file. first column is the image name, then the keywords. how can i automatically run a action that, or with a third party program, insert all this data into the meta data of the image files? How Do You Insert A Scanned Signature Image Into A Form?
I am using Photoshop CS2 and Image Ready CS2. I have my signature scanned into a JPG file, and I have a form that requires my signature also in JPG format. Creating Better Actions For PS [Insert Alert Message]
I've made actions in Photoshop before but never really anything other than recording my mouse movements & keystrokes. Many of the actions i download have many more bells & whistles in them. I'm really looking to have a msgbox pop up saying ... eg NOW SET HUE/SAT TO REQUIRED SETTINGS & have the hue & sat setting pop up so they could enter a setting then the action would continue. Auto Populating Text Fields. Text Insert ?
how do I insert text faster? Attached is a screen capture of my set-up. I am bulding a plaque. how to set up "pre-determined" text fields that populate from an internal or external text? Adding Layer Mask To Hue/Sat Layer Multiply Blending Mode
I adjusted the curves in the Hue/Saturation layer so just the illuminated slopes of the mountains (layer "DEM") are yellow. About the 3rd Layer: I think I would like to create a layer mask (out of the layer 3rd from top) to add to the top layer. My hope is that the black in the 3rd layer will not allow the yellow to be seen as much. On this layer the black represents lower elevation and the white represents higher elevation. My Goal If just the mountain slopes at higher elevations are illuminated with yellow tint, it gives the effect of alpenglow, or sun falling on high peaks before it sets completely. How would I go about doing this? A tutorial suggests Multiply Blending Mode, but I'm not sure if this is right because I haven't succeeded. Base Layer Layer Style With Clipping Masks
I'm using a clipping mask on a layer. The base layer that the clipping mask is referencing has a layer effect applied (in this case an inner shadow). I want to make it so the layer effect is only applied to the base layer and NOT the clipped layers. Below is an example of what I'm talking about. as you can see, layer 1 has the base layer's inner shadow applied to it. I want the inner shadow to be hidden by Layer 1, but the clipping mask to still apply.

Difference Between Selecting Your Layer And Clicking Add Layer Mask
Is there a difference between selecting your layer and clicking Add Layer Mask Icon versus having that layer selected, hold down ctrl and select Add Layer Mask Icon? Also regarding working in Lightroom, if I modify a jpeg, select another image from filmstrip to work on and then go back to the first image for more work, are those actions degrading image even though I never physically save and close.

I could have sworn that in previous versions of Photoshop, before version CS4, that if there was a link icon between the layer thumbnail and the layer mask on that same layer, if you move one or the other, they both move. Duplicating A Layer/folder Adds The Layer
Every time you duplicate a folder or a layer, it adds the word "Copy" at the end. Is there a way to get rid of this? I've been looking for a solution to this for the past 2 years. I spend 8 hours a day in Photoshop creating Comps. I'm crazy about having my layers clean, therefore I use a lot of folders, etc. I probably waste an hour a day removing the $%)?#* Copy word at the end of layers/folders. This is driving me CRAZY while losing a lot of precious time.

How To Create A Hilightes Layer And A Shadow Layer For Same
I need an easy way to fix a high contrast image such as an interior home shot where the windows are blown out and you can't see outside detail,but the interior is either correctly exposed or is underexposed. Basically what i need to do is combine the correctly exposed interior with the correctly exposed windows, showing correct exposure for both interior and exterior detail. To get the correct exposure i have been taking a shot in which i meter the windows, and without moving the camera, take another shot in which i meter the interior. Here is where i get stuck. the way i've been doing it, which takes way too much time for my purposes, is to either use the magnetic lasso tool or the polygonal lasso tool to select the area of the properly exposed windows, and then cut and paste the selections to the other layer. The problem with this is, it takes quite a while and i usually have to go back and do some cloning around the edges to fill in the spots that got missed, which takes alot of time as well, because it usually takes me several tries to get it right. Is there an easier way?

Two Bevel Layer Styles On A Single Layer
does anyone know of a way to have two different bevel layer styles on the same layer or a way to get the same effect? I'm testing out some new ways to paint normal maps in PS and one way is to add a diagonal cyan - magenta bevel and then ideally to add a black - white bevel over the top of that in the opposite direction. I know you could just collapse the first style then add another one but I don't want to do that.

Drawing Outside The Layer Auto-Select Layer
I have an image with 8 layers and i want to draw lines. So I make a new layer. While this layer is selected, i select the line tool and draw a line. Then, as I want to move this line, I select the move tool and try to move it. But instead of moving the line I just drew, photoshop automatically switches to my background layer (although i'm not sure it's defined as "background layer") and moves the entire content of the layer. To see what actually happened, i hid each layer in the layer palette... And still... here was my line. (with all layers hidden, is it POSSIBLE to have anything?) I tried to select my line and then, using the move tool, move it, but the message "could not move the selection because the selected area is empty"...
