Multiple Fade To Transparent Gradient On One Image
I am having a little trouble trying to add multiple fade to transparent gradients appear in a single image. Here are the steps I have done so far:
Create a new vector with the photo unlocked
Add a layer mask
use the black to white gradient, so the edge of the photo is completely translarent and as you move to the center, it slowly reveals the photo.
I used this technique I found online for one edge of the photo and it worked great, untill I tried the second gradient on the same photo, and the first one I did disappeared. I guess Photoshop only lets you have one.
The next thing I tried is to create another vector mask and create another gradient, but it did not work at all. Also, Photoshop only lets you have two vector masks per layer, so That wont do me much good if I need 4 gradients, each one fading to transparent around the 4 edges of the photo.
Any solution would be greatly appreciated. I plan to take the photo that has the fade to transparent gradients and copy it to another background image with some text.

Merge / Fade Between Two Images Using Gradient
This is probably a really basic one - and I'm sure I've read how to do this here before in a really simple way, but I can't re-find the post after some time searching: I have two photos side by side on two different layers, and I simply want to create a fade between one and the other over an overlapping area of about 10mm. I have tried selecting one layer, and using the gradient tool, but I am doing something wrong as this seems to affect all layers; ie it works fine on one layer, but the other layer gets faded out too. I'm sure I have to create a new layer or something and perform the gradient on that, or maybe I have the wrong gradient settings. Or do I process both photos in separate files, and then bring them in to a new file and overlap them?

Using Multiple Gradient Masks
Is there a way to use multiple gradient masks in a single mask? I'm working on a photo collage and when I bring in a new picture I would like to get rid of the hard edges. Creating a layer mask and then using the gradient tool to fade one of the edges of the picture works great. Is there a way to repeat this on the same mask so that I can use this same technique on the other 3 edges of the picture?

Multiple Gradients - Extending A Picture With A Gradient?
what I'd like to do is to select the edge of a picture, and then extend the colors that are present in gradient fashion, based on the colors of the pixels at the edge. For instance, here's a picture of the grand canyon: How would I extend the left side with gradients that would match the colors of the pixels on the left edge, and all gradiate to black? (I'd blur or something later so that the transition from the picture to the gradient start appeared smoother)

Transparent Text Over A Css Gradient Background
I have created a gradient background in photoshop and positioned this on my webpage using css. I thought it would be nice to create some page titles in photoshop instead of using regular fonts. Something that has always stumped me, is whenever I have created text on top of a transparent background using photoshop, saved for web, gif @ 256 colours and applied to the webpage, no matter what I do the text always look frazzled around the edges. Is there a technique to creating transparent text that looks smooth? Do I need to increase the dpi?

Transparent Shadow Overlay Gradient
I have a webpage that has a gradient background that extends down the page at least 800 px and is set to repeat-x. I have an auto centerd column which has a background applied to it. The background is set to repeat-y. The center column has a dropshadow applied all the way around it. The problem is that I am not able to get the drop shadow to blend in with the gradient as the page grows. Initially at the top of the gradient where it, the gradient, is the darkest, the drop shadow blends in. But as the gradient moves down, i.e., becomes lighter, the drop shadow ceases to blend in any more. is it possible to solve this problem? If so then how?

Creating A Transparent Gradient In A Selection
What I want to do is make a row of five small thumbnail images that blend into each other. I've got them on five separate layers, and I just want to be able to select the edges of the pictures and create a horizontal gradient that makes the very outer edge almost 100% transparent, and the inner edge of my selection 100% opaque.

Fade Out An Image In A Layer??
I have an ad layout I am working on for a horse owner. I have removed the horse from the background and would like to have it so that his image fades from top to bottom. I know I saw something on how to do a fadeout on an image, but I cannot find it. Any suggestions would be treated with GREAT appreciation!! Also, can this be done as a diagonal fade also???

Fade Two Sides Of An Image
I'm trying to create a header for a website, 500x100, that has a photo image, 300x100, in the center that has both right and left edges feathered. On the left edge it would fade to white, on the right edge it would fade to blue. Seems like I've seen similar things on other sites. First I thought I'd just place a blue rectangle on the right half of the piece and place the image over it in the center with both edges feathered. But if I feather one edge (with the gradient tool), trying to feather the other edge undoes the first edge's feathering. I still don't really get working with layers. Then I thought I'd just feather the left edge of the image and place a blue rectangle with a feathered left edge over the right edge of the image. But when I draw a rectangle, the gradient tool doesn't work and I can't feather the edge. If I select the tool and click in the rectangle I get a message that the content of the layer isn't directly editable and I can't figure out how to make it editable. At this point, I'm not even sure what method I should be using to accomplish this task. Should I be feathering one edge and blurring the other? I think I did get it done once before by starting with an image that had lots of extra height, feathering all 4 edges and cropping off the top and bottom feathered parts but this image doesn't have that much extra to work with. I'm sure these are stupid questions but the tutorials, tips and how-to's I've looked at always seem talk about how to feather one or all edges, not two. It doesn't help that I'm still not really familiar with all the tools and terminology. I would certainly appreciate at least a pointer to what methods I should be using. I feel like I'm trying to use a chisel as a screwdriver.

Image Colours Fade In Imageready
Today for the first time I have encountered something strange when pulling a PSD file through from CS2 into imageready. The colours in the image seem 'washed out' and faded as per the file attached. Rounding Corners & Image Fade?
Notice on the left side, the edge is faded to give a 3-D look and on the right side of the artwork itself (ignore the red HD DVD case), it is rounded. How Do I Fade A Single-layer Image?

Copy A Gradient From A Raster Image
How would I copy a gradient from another image. I mean I have a logo I need to extend, the background in the image is a gradient. Now i cant get the gradient for the extended background to match this one. The logo is already a flat image, I dont have the layered PSD.

Gradient ( White <-> Transparant ) Area On Image
image w 600 h 155 background = light-green ( layer1 ) with dark green dots with shadow (layer2) the dots are faded away from right to left ( Layer3 - gradient lightgreen -> transparant used ) . so far no problem, or does someone a better methode? Please write me ;-) on the left, above the backgr, a image of a 'building' layer4 ( no problem ) the result should be an image divide in three hor. strokes ( height 45-70-40 ) light-green ( dots faded away ) -> light-green ( with dots ) light-green ( dots faded away ) -> almost white ( no dots ) ( does have some overlap where some dots are visible )layer 7 light-green ( dots faded away ) -> light-green ( with dots ) the middle stroke should have the underlaying part of the 'building' image and background a little unfocused ( like not 100% sharp when you make a photo ) and the middle stroke should also be a little glossy. Fading A Layer Mask To Image -- Gradient Stroke?
I've been using Photoshop intensely this year for school assignments, and I'm learning to get around very well. The issue I'm currently having is that it want to make a layer mask that fades from the mask to the image behind, from color to transparent to create a smooth transition. Multiple Strokes On An Image?
I have a picture and have outlined it. Currently I have it edited as an animated .gif flashing 1 color around the edges. Multiple Image Captions
I have huge numbers of shots to send to my stock agencies. Normally I will - of course - shoot many images of the same subject which all need the same captions and keywords added in the metadata. Reducing Multiple Image Sizes In One Go
I have a whole directory of images which I took with my digital camera. I want to post them on my site, however I would like to reduce their size to fit the html pages. I know how to perform this task for individual photos, but since my directory consists of many images, this task will be very time consuming. I was wondering if there is any way to have photoshop make the same image size reduction on all images, by running some sort of script or any other way. Automation - Multiple Image Saving
I have a series of actions that copy a document, apply a colour profile, resize and then save as - so I can export as jpeg. These actions work individually but currently I have to enter a file name. What I'd like to do be able to do is select an action which runs say three or four of those actions - say export at 600, 800, 1200 pixels dimension and also suffixes the file name with that number.. so IMG0001.JPG becomes IMG001_800.JPG, IMG001_1200.JPG etc etc.

One Click Saturation With Multiple Image

Deskew Image (Multiple Axis)
if there is an automatic (or near automatic) method of deskewing an image on both the X and Y axis. My image is sheared off on some angles, since it is a scanned image. Batch Combine Multiple Image Sequences
After assembling the render output of my 3d app in photoshop (32bit) and changing the appearance via several CC layers in different layer modes (e.g. Hue/saturation in Overlay mode) I ended up with my composing for print purposes. The comp is complex, with several masked folders, single masked CC layers and many image layers (some with masks). Now the client wanted me to animate part of the image. No problem I thought. But the trap is of how to assemble the different image sequences (diffuse, specular, reflection, masks, etc, etc). I came up with a PS action which loaded the single images and arranged them in the same fashion as the master file. But now PS doesn't load the incremental images for the batch processing. Images are named in a Diffuse_00001, Specular_00001, ... fashion. Loading the first set works, but from Diffuse_00002 everything goes wrong and PS load the 00001 files (except from one file which loads in the proper incremental way). I can't transfer this stuff to AE as it is much too complex and I do no AE only very little. I guess PS should be capable to solve this batch task, but a simple action via batch seems to fail.

Printing Multiple Pages To Make One Image
I'm doing a project for my World Religions class, and we are to make a a poster board that is supposed to represent a newspaper. He showed examples of last years, and they were really bland, it just looked like cut out pieces of paper places on a posterboard with a newspaper-like title. I want to know if it is possible to make an image in photopshop, that basically looks like the front of a newspaper by my design, and print it out, of course, this is going on a poster board probably like 2ftx3ft. So I'd print out like 6 to 9 8x11 sheets with pieces of this huge picture, I'd just cut it out and glue it on the poster board, so itll more realistically resemble a newspaper. I'm fine with using photoshop and make images etc (unless someone has some useful tips)... I'm just concerned if I will be able to do this. I haven't been able to mess with it and figure it out, but I dont want to go through all of my project, print it, and it doesnt work or something. If not in photoshop, is there a plug-in, external program I can use?

Transparent Image (GIF/PNG)
I have a picture of my car that I cut out of a picture, pasted it into a new image with the 'transparent background' option. The windows and some of the space in between the wheels are transparent as well. I applied a drop shadow to the car to give it a little depth, I'm using Photoshop 6, I use the save as web image thing, and I can't get a proper setting for a .gif export (they all look like crap, the drop shadow defaults to a flat black color). So I tried a PNG 24, and it keeps the drop shadow looking nice, but it adds a background color in place of the transparency.

How can I create an image with a transparent background? I am creating a project that I wanted to save as a transparent image (that is the background, not the image itself.). However, no matter what I saved it as, it would force a background on me. It was being created for my e-mail program. The program has stationary backgrounds on the e-mails I create, so the background would always be changing. That is why I wanted the image to be transparent so that it could blend into any background.
