Rounded Rectangle Tool
I can't use my "Rounded Rectangle Tool" correctly anymore. When I draw the shape it's just a square without the rounded corners. The radius is set on 1 pixel. The cursor also displays a really small circle on the bottom right with a square inside of it.

Rounded Rectangle Marquee
Ive been trying to turn on the "rounded rectangle marquee" tool in PS 7, but all the ones I have listed in my tools palate are: rectangular, elliptical, single row, single coloumn marquee tools. Ive tried loading everthing & anything & nothing, and after that i went to PS 7 help files and it says it has this option under (image ready). Is "image ready" an additional software i need to add to get this rounded rectangular marquee tool to work. I just want to make a simple rounded cube.

Slicing My Rounded Rectangle

Smooth Rounded Corners Rectangle Buttons
I wanted to know how to create buttons . The top left and right corners appear smooth behind a black-ish background. I tried using "gaussian-blur on alpha-channel technique" and "round rect shapes" but i always get jagged edges. Theres something basic that i dont know that needs to be done here.

Can't Delete Rounded Custom Rectangle Shape
I made a Rounded Rectangle Tool with a radius of 10. Then, once I created the rectangle, I tried to cut off the bottom so that only the top part was rounded by using the Rectangular Marquee and hitting delete. But it deletes everything? Basically trying to create a tab like this attached psd but using the Rounded Rectangle Tool as a shape to keep everything sharp.

Created A Solid Rectangle W/rounded Border
I'm trying to create a solid-color rectangle with rounded edges (feather of 5px). This seems like it should be simple, but I'm having a problem: I use the Rectangular Marquee tool to create the rectangle and then the Paint Bucket tool to fill in the rectangle. When I do this, the edges of the rectangle are fuzzy. I would like the edges to be hard (not fuzzy). Under the Paint Bucket options, Anti-alias is unchecked, the Mode is Normal, and the Opacity is 100%. I notice that when I try to create a rectangle without rounded edges, the border is not fuzzy. Why does it become fuzzy when I try to create a rectangle with rounded edges?

How To Solid Stroke A Feathered Rectangle?
I'm trying to find a way to create a rectangle layer with rounded corners. Now, I know that's easy to do, right? Just take the Rectangular Marquee tool and put a feather on it, then do a fill with the paintbucket. Wrong! The feather somehow retardedly doesn't allow the "PAINT" to stay inside the selected area, and fills a slight gradient outside the selection, like so: The quickest way I know how to do it is....well, really NOT that quick. Here's my steps: 1) Make a circle with the Elliptical Marquee tool and save the selection. 2) Add 4 of these to a selection, making sure they're lined up properly. 3) Now fill in the inside with the Rectangular Marquee tool. 4) NOW PAINT!

Transparent Rectangle With Visible Stroke?
If I make a rectangle, add a stroke border around it, is there a way to make the area of the rectangle clear/transparent but keep the stroke boarder 100% visible? This can be easily done in InDesign by just picking (none) as a color but I dont see an obvious way to do it in photoshop.

Crisp-cornered (not Rounded) Stroke Outline On Text?
I want to make some text with two outline colours. (I'm not too concerned at this stage with the squeezing effect on the text) Adding a stroke layer style (then adding a second one) sort of works, but the corners are rounded - I want them (as in the Fforde book example) to follow the crisp corners of the font itself.

How Can I Get Smooth Rounded Edges?
How can I get smooth rounded edges? Let's say, for argument, I want a "square" with rounded corners. So I take the shape tool at 50px radius and draw my square. Right off the batt, the round parts look like utter junk. What other technique could yield a better corner? Also note that I can take the blur tool and blur the corners so they are somewhat nicer, but then if I put a shadow on the box, you can clearly see the shadow doing weird things on the blured part. Obviously, with all the beautiful PS images out there, smooth rounds are easily obtainable, not these wildly pixelated corners the shape tool gives me. What can I do that can be as easy as the shape tool?

Rounded Frame Rounded Photo
How do I make the frame & photo rounded just like they did in the following template I'm working on in Flash. They say they did it in Photoshop. I used the rectangel tool and it always makes the photo inside out. I need it to round the edges not hide the photo. Is there a way to show the middle of the photo and then make a frame like they did on the website? I'm using Photo Shop Elements.

Smooth Edges, But Then Changes To Rough Edges When Saving
I tried the following in Illustrator, So basically, I created coloured text inside Adobe Illustrator and however much I zoom into the text, the text always appears to have smooth edges. Once I click on 'Save For Web', the edge all around the text becomes rough and aliased. I chose GIF and PNG, but it still happens. The text is on a transparency background. The same problem applies to images when I am creating a logo.

Squaring Up A Rectangle
how to correct a rectangle in a shot. I have shot a sign that I couldn't quite center. I ended up with the two sides and the bottom vertical and horizontal as i want but; the top is curved in toward the center enough to be visible. The rectangle is a record board so it is filled with names and times that go funny when I try to perspective transform, so either the likely that I don't know how to use transform> perspective.

Rectangle Gradient
I'm trying to create an effect on a webpage using a gradient. I'm basically looking for 4 regular linear gradients starting at each of the four sides of the page and turning transparent/white in at about 15%, I don't want the gradient to go all the way to the middle. The problem is of course the corners, I cannot figure out a way to make them look right.  Does anyone know how to do this or have any ideas? I'm new to ps but fairly proficient. This is what I have so far but I'm looking for blended corners, like a picture frame....one of the keys that I'm looking for is the ability to change how far the gradients extend from the edge of the page.

Using The Rectangle Tool
I have an image that is the birds eye view to some homes. I want to use the rectangle tool to draw a rectangle around a home and rotate it. How would I use the rectange tool to do that? I want the rectangle to not fill with a color, instead, the fill would be transparent, but the border would be red. Then I'd like to rotate it some? How do I do all that? I can click on the rectangle tool in the toolbox. Then click and draw a rectangle. The box fills with a color and covers whatever is underneath it, then I go over to opacity in the layer and bring it down to 0. That then shows what's underneath it. Is that the right approach? How do I create a red border? How do I rotate the rectangle?

Resizing Rectangle Marquee
how to do a simple resize of a rectangle marquee after I have drawn a selection onto my document. I opened an image in a new PSD document, and drew a rectangle marquee around the selection I want to cut. Problem is the rectangle marquee isn't the size I want, so when I use transform selection to scale the selection, it causes the whole image to scale with the marquee I've drawn. I don't want the image to scale, I just want the marquee I drew to scale into the desired size.
