I want only the text to be displayed without the PS background.

How can insert a background image file (like one you would typically see used for a webpage) and tile it in photoshop? What I'm trying to do is have the background on the PS image match the background on a webpage, then create a logo overtop, but I can't figure out the first step.

Transparent Images :: How To Create Transparent Background
I need to strip my current image of its background color so that the background color on my website goes thru my image. In other words I need a transparent background for my image. I have create a new layer that is transparent, but the background color on my website does not go thru it. The background color of this image appears to be grayish not transparent.

Transparent Background ...
I have a file with 2 layers, one (Layerone) that is blank, i.e. no fill or anything. The other layer (Layertwo) has text. I save the file as a .gif, select transparent, select matte as none, and keep getting a white background when I upload the file to my website. I also tried copying the text Layer to the clipboard, creating a a new file with the background set as 'transparent', then pasting the text only layer into the new file. I still get the white background when I upload to website. It can't be this hard to get a transparent background. What am I doing wrong?

My graphic designer designed the attached file. He claimed that it's impossible to turn the background of this image to a transparent one. I'm no expert, but I do think it's possible to turn the gray background into a transparent one.

Red Box Transparent Background
For an example I want a red box, but instead of having the background as white I want it transparent, so when I use it for a sig only the red box will show. What I've done. Transparent Background
to adding and saving a transparent background is to make the appropriate changes and save as a .png or .gif file. i have here a .tga file with a transparent background: my problem is this. when i open the file and re-save it as another .tga it saves with a white instead of transparent background. i need to be able to save this as a .tga document.

I have this image. I want to get rid of the blue background and make it transparent so I can blend it with this image... I come across this problem a lot and I need to know how to just key out the blue color. I do my fair share of video editing which involves using blue screens and green screens and things like that, I thought there may be a keying tool in photoshop but it doesn't seem so. how to just get rid of the blue from the wireframe image? I want a transparent background. If I wanted a straight black background for example, I would use the replace color tool. I just wish I could replace the color with transparency?

I open a new document it's not a transparent background. Ill even start a new document as transparent and RGB. Still a white background when it is created. So I tried adding an image. Deleted the first layer. Still nothing. So I used a magic wand, deleted the background. Still white. I remember having this problem before and my professor told me what it was. But I forget what she said, it was over a year ago. Anyone have any ideas? im using Adobe Photoshop CS

Transparent Background
I cropped out the background of a picture in Photohop (CS3) and then placed the image into an ad I am designing in Indesign. Although the background is suposedly transparent, it makes my black graphics in Indesign a shade darker... Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I noticed this after I printed the Indesin document to PDF.... So I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong in Photoshop, Indesign or when printing to PDF.

White PSP Background Needs To Be Transparent
I've got three layers that all seem to be set against a transparent background, which is what i want. Only, when i flatten them, the layers appear on a white background, not transparent. No where on any of the layers is it white, so i can't figure out why this is happening. the outside edge is jagged, thus i can't just crop the picture. How in the world can i keep the transparent background when i flatten?

Transparent Background Using Wizard
I have a jpeg file and am trying to get a transparent background in photoshop. I have been using the wizard in the help menu. This asks you to select the area which you want to make transparent and then saves it for you in an eps format. So I have been selecting the area with the magic wand and deleting the area to get a flat background. Then I select the whole background with the same tool and goto help, wizard etc. I then go to Corel Draw and go to the import file and put it into my worksheet and it comes up as a grey square saying photoshop blah blah blah - or something probably a bit more technical but I'm on a different computer now so i'm not exactly sure what it says! I know Corel isn't everyone's best friend here, but does anyone know what I'm doing wrong.

I create a new file in PS CS, and set the 'Background Content' as Transparent. Then I create some graphics. PS is showing that the background is transparent. Then I 'save it for web' as .jpg file. I Removed The Background, But Not Transparent
I removed a background (chroma color green), using Photoshop CS2, from an image to be imported into a NLE (premiere pro 2.0). When I open the image a new background, a white slate, appears. I'd like for the background to remain transparent. What am I doing wrong? I found something a while back saying some files (JPEG, TIFF, etc) don't support transparent background and a white slate is added to replace areas without pixel content, but I can't find the article/thread. Is there a file that supports transparent backgrounds?

White Background -> Transparent GIF
I took an image that was a JPG of an icon on a white background, set the blending mode to Multiply, and painted white underneath the icon to preserve the colors. This basically leaves me with 2 layers that comprise the icon and its transparent background, and works wonderfully. However, I need to save this icon as a GIF with the transparent background, but when I save it the white background persists. I've tried loading the white bit as a selection and deleting what's outside, but that removes pieces of the image that aren't 100% transparent or opaque that I'd like to leave in for matte-ing. I don't know if I've explained this properly, so I'll attach the problem file. [quite small, only 160KB] I popped in a background for a better idea what I'm attempting, and if you remove it you'll see the troublesome white around the icon. I'm using Photoshop 7 on WinXP Pro.

Transparent Background Behind The Image
SGA gate image I want to make the background transparent, just leaving the gate. I've tried adding just a red alpha channel, just a blue alpha, just a green and even tried using all 3. No matter what I do, I can get the background to go transparent but the gate ends up being semi-transparent.

Transparent Text Over A Css Gradient Background
I have created a gradient background in photoshop and positioned this on my webpage using css. I thought it would be nice to create some page titles in photoshop instead of using regular fonts. Something that has always stumped me, is whenever I have created text on top of a transparent background using photoshop, saved for web, gif @ 256 colours and applied to the webpage, no matter what I do the text always look frazzled around the edges. Is there a technique to creating transparent text that looks smooth? Do I need to increase the dpi?

I found a image on the website, but I've been tested many times and didn't figure out how it made like this. the center flower is 100% transparent, but it still keeps shadow and embossed area. Makinga JPEG With A Background Into A Transparent PNG
what I need is just the white removed from around it completely so I end up with a transparent PNG that I can use on top of any background color. The main problem I get with doing this is, I always end up with those little itty bitty white pixels around the edges, and if I eliminate those, I end up with rough edges.

Exporting To Quark (can't Get Transparent Background)
I'm using CS and am trying to get an image into a QuarkXpress doc (Ver 6.1). I think it has a tranparent background (i.e. I can see through the image in PS to the gray and white checked board). I save it as a TIFF and then when I 'get picture' from Quark, it appears with a white background. How can I lose the background so that the holes in the image show the background that is in the picture box in Quark?
