Vertically Center Text In A Text Box
I select the text tool then drag it to make a box. I type text into, but it always go to the top. Is there way to make all of the text inside that box automatically center vertically?

Can't Seem To Center Text
I have googled this and searched forums but cannot find working solution. I am using cs2. Created a new file with transparent background (150x75 pixels) Drew a rounded rectangle shape and added new fill color layer. Selected text tool and entered text. In trying to move text to center, I can justify for horizontal but it will not center vertically. Text seems to hop up or down just off center.

I have to copy two lines of text into hundreds of images, and one piece has to be centered, 3 pixels from the top, the other centered at the bottom? Is there a way to make an action that will place things in the center, regardless of image size?

Center Text In An Image (varying Widths)
i have a few hundreds images i need to watermark. The watermark i can do fine. but i have varying image widths. I want the watermark to be centralised on the image. I also want to batch the process so i'm trying to work out if it's possible to centralise in an action.

Auto Populating Text Fields. Text Insert ?
how do I insert text faster? Attached is a screen capture of my set-up. I am bulding a plaque. how to set up "pre-determined" text fields that populate from an internal or external text? Right now I have to >duplicate layer>drag layer to new spot>enter in new text. It would be really neat if PS could populate from a file like web-site populate pages from other text files.

Text Box/font :: Only See A Tiny Black Line In Text Box
I was working on a project and I had recently installed a new font. Now all of a sudden whenever I make a new text box and type some text in nothing shows up. I can only see a tiny black line which isn't even text, even tho its set to 36ft. I changed the font and size to see if it made a difference, and nothing worked. I restarted PS and my computer several times, and still the same thing...

Copying Arabic Text Into A Text Layer...
I paste Arabic font (a sentence in Arabic in Word for example) onto a text layer in photoshop, it compleatley switches the direction of the text and the sentence doesn't read as it was in word. This leads to us going through a very complicated process of saving it as a pdf and then importing as a vector. Does anyone know how we just import Arabic text from another document so that PHotoshop (using CS3) renders it the right way around (words and individual 'letters')

Deselect Text Tool When Text Is Expected
photoshop is not being able to deselect text when I am using the text-tool so I can edit more text. Here is what I mean - say you have two text layers that have been filled out. Now I want to change both of them to something else. I select the first text layer and change it's text. Now I want to move on to the next layer, I click some random tool and then click the text tool again. Is there a key command that I can hit that will make the text tool active so I can select the text on the other layer? Also I'm using CS3.

Converting PS Text To Macromedia Text
I've tried what seems to be every version of EXPORT (as .ai and .eps) and EXPORT TO ILLUSTRATOR PATHS and then taking PS text and CONVERTING TO OUTLINE and then EXPORTING PATHS, but I just can't get the text from PS to Flash. I do have Illustrator CS if it needs to roundtrip there.

Clipping Mask Multiple Text Layers Without Merging Text Layers
I am trying to get a white layer with see through writing which reveals the background image underneath. (Almost like I have put a stencil over a photograph). I have discovered this is called a clipping mask. However, I am having difficulty using a clipping mask over multiple text layers. It seems to only do it to one layer directly beneath. I do not want to merge the text layers as I want to mess about with the design a fair bit.

Adding Pictures Into Paragraph Text So The Text Wraps Around The Pictures
I am trying to place pictures into my paragraph text so that the text wraps around the picture (like you can in Word).? Can anyone let me know how to do this in Photoshop 7.0 for Windows?? All I can find is how to wrap text around object (i.e. word on a coffee cup image itself) or putting the actual picture as fill for the font.? how to do this? Making Sure Everything Is In The Center
Im creating a business card for myself and the thing is i have never really worked too much with text on photoshop. So at the moment when i put text into the picture i just eye out whether its in the center, so as far as i know it may not be perfect. How do i make sure that the text i am putting in is definitely center? Page Rip / Peel From The Center?
brush or example of a page rip / page peel effect where a section from the edge is being torn out, and being peeled down. So for example, if you were to take a piece of paper, and measure 2 inches from the top left and then make a tear 2 inches down from the top. Then measure 2 inches from the top right, tear 2 inches down from the top, and then "curl" that center "tab" down.

Center - Opening Mulitple Windows
Whilst working in photoshop, the help center opens itself up multiple times, spawning windows accross my toolbar faster than i can close them. When this has occured in the past (rarely), ive just closed the psd i'm working on at it stops. However today, its gone crazy, opening 50+ blank help center windows and it wont stop!

Image Adjustments At The Center Of A Circle
I just got a new Lightscribe drive and I have been having a field day making custom labels for old data discs. Now I have decided I want to make some backups of some of my games so I can put the original discs/boxes into storage finally. The problem with this is that Lightscribe discs have a larger "unprintable" radius at the center of the disc that other media. I found that when I scanned some of my discs and imported them directly into the LS Print program I was losing alot of information/text/pictures. Essentially I need to take a point in the center of the circle and 'stretch' it outward in a circular pattern. (If you have seen Ace Venctura 2, think about when he had to escape from his mechanical rhino-spy vehicle through its bum I have also attached an image so you can see exactly what I mean. The read circle in the middle is approximately where the most inner edge of a LS disc can begin to print. where to even begin as far as keywords go. I do realize that there will be a certain degree of 'smushage' (technical term) on my final product, but I would rather keep the original disc look than having to make my own custom disc for each game.

Cs3 Compatible With Windows Media Center Edition?
I tried to install the trial version of cs3 from the adobe website, but after I installed the setup part and started downloading the actual program, it said it downloaded 1 shared component but it couldn't download the actual CS3 program. My computer says I'm using: Quote: Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2 I'm not sure what the download problem was, I checked Adobe's troubleshooting page P.S. - If CS3 isn't compatible with Windows XP Media Center Edition, is Photoshop CS2? I had CS2 on my old computer, which was one of the Windows XP (can't remember which one, but it had service pack 2) but I would like to download CS2 or preferrably CS3 on my new computer.

Drawing A Line Down The Exact Center Of An Image?
way to draw a line down the exact center of an image, and possibly make the line look cool. I'm trying to create a custom Magic the Gathering playmat thing for a program for testing decks out. I tried the line tool, but it doesn't seem to allow you to fill it in with the paintbucket after, or do anything with it for that matter. I just want a cool looking divider. Then I might create another split into 3 sections vertically for 6v6 battles, any way to measure this out automatically?

Enlarging A Hole In The Center Of Something Without Causing Uneven Distortion...
I've got an urgent fix to do for some CD artwork, sadly I am far from being a photoshop guru and I don't have time to send it back and get it redone. Basically, I have a load of text spiraling inwards towards the center of the disk but it ends up a bit too close to the center. I need to enlarge the hole in the middle without distorting the text too much. My first thought was to try the Filter/Distort/Spherize effect and indeed this does make the hole proportionally bigger but it also makes the text near the edge much smaller than the text near the center. I need some kind of radial or spiral transform/distortion that will maintain the proportion of the lettering, although roughly would be fine, it doesn't need enlarging very much. Text For The Web
I use Illustrartor CS2, as the text type i use is adobe std L. This is not found is Photoshop CS2. (Is their a way to tranfer the text type over??) Anyway I enusre that the photoshop page is the same size as illustrator. When i place my text from illustrator into photoshop i then use the scale tool and place it were i would like the text to go. Press enter and the text is placed. Now here is the problem, the text looks weak, slightly blurred and jagged, I have tried the characters and sharp, crisp, none etc, but nothing wotks, So how do i get the text to look sharp and crisp on my web page when the text is in photoshop? I thought, Photoshop could use vector text from illustartor? if so what is happening with the jagged edges?

i want to do a newsletter for my rugby club, and i saw something the other day i would like to do. it had a picture of a cat or something as a background and an article on the creatures written on top. i have a jpeg i wanna use and ps elements. i have tried a few things using a word document with athe jpeg as background , but when its prints it just comes owithout the piccy. so i thought i'd try elements but i am having a couple of problems: 1. having the whole a4 printout covered with the jpeg it sort of leaves white borders on the top and bottom, i don't mind if it looks a little stretched. 2. using the text tool seems a bit inelegant is there away of layering a word document on top of the jpeg?
