Printing Colours!
When I print from Photoshop, I am getting this message before the printing commences:
"Some PostScript specific settings (emmulsion, Interpolation, Calibration, Encoding) will be ignored since you are printing to a non-PostScript printer"
Then when I print, the colours are all different than what is on the screen. I have not had this problem previously and everything I have printed looks great. This has only begun recently and I am not sure what has happened to make it like that. My printer is a hp deskjet 930C.

PSP Pixelate In 16 Colours - How To?
I have PaintshopPro7 so apologies if this area is for Photoshop only... I have a map of Europe that I've edited so that each country is a single colour, and no country touches another country of the same colour. I now want to pixelate this image so that I get a very blocky map of Europe, and each block/pixel remains the same colour as that of the largest amount of country/colour within it.

Colours In CS3/Bridge
After editing images in Photoshop CS3 (using a calibrated Eizo monitor S2231W) and viewing them in Bridge (whether PSD or JPG) in the presentation modus, the colours change a bit and become oversaturated when I change the presentation from "fit in" to 100%(by scrolling the mouse wheel). The same oversaturated colours appear also in other Windows viewers (e.g. Magix, irfanview). Of course I can use a different custom preset on the monitor when viewing the images on the monitor and reduce the saturation there, but the colour change will remain. So how can I see in Photoshop when editing and be sure what the colours will be like in a Windows presentation?

Matching And Comparing Two Colours
I need to compare and match two colours but dont know how to do it exactly. the scenario is; I have two samples. Sample A is the reference, and Sample B is a trial. The trial sample is going to be very close to the reference, but not exactly the same colour. What I am going to do is scan both samples on a scanner and then compare them. I need to find out what colours do I need to add/remove from Sample B to make it exactly same as Sample A. That is the most important bit; need to be able to understand which colours missing or needs to reduced. Samples are one uniform colour but ideally need to get 3-4 sampling to get the average colour from each sample for accurate results.

Changing Colours On A Web Template
I purchased a website template and I need to customise the colours of the graphics (Buttons, logos etc.) to match my specific colour scheme. When I asked the designers of the template for help they sent be a PSD file with a complete screenshot of the webpage and all the individual components. I need to change the colours of each button and some graphics and I cannot find an easy way to do this. I have never used Photoshop before ( I have Photoshop CS2 and ImageReady CS2) Also once the colour has been changed do I cut and paste the images? How do I save them as new individual files that I can upload to replace the standard template graphics? (They need to be exactly the same size as the originals).

Do You Think Colours Influence Web Viewers?
how color may influence a viewer visiting a website. When visiting a website do you pay any particular attention to the color scheme? I.e. how well thought out it is and how it fits in with the overall theme of the website and its purpose? Have you found that web designers tend to stick to pastel colors when designing female orientated websites? Or does anything go? What would you consider to be the 'safest' color scheme which will work with practically any website and why?

Adding Different Colours To Text?
I have attached an image of a font (Helana) I'm designing a logo in. As you can see it has lots of scrolls, flowers, leaves etc running off it... I'd like to keep the letter itself one colour, but make all scrolls, flowers, leaves etc are all different colours / shades... I've tried to use live paint but it just changes the colour of the whole thing. Should I try Photoshop?

How To Best Fix Dull Colours In Image
I have taken this image under poor lighting in a restaurant, and need to know how to best retore the colours in this lifeless image. Yes, I know it ain't the greatest image - all I am hoping to do is remove the colour cast and get some of the natural colors in there. I've tried tweaking it through "Selective colour", but this only seems to get me so far.

Adjustment Layers Default Colours
When I create a Color Balance adjustment layer to colourise a selected area the Default Foreground & Background colours switch from Black/White to White/Black automatically with even the icon in the corner changing to reflect this (When switching manually back to Black Foreground the icon stays showing White as Foreground). By switching manually back I can refine Masks as I have been doing for sometime with the Eraser deleting parts of a mask and the Paintbrush adding to the size of the mask which is the logical way It seems like I have somehow changed the default Foreground/Background when applied to Adjustment Layers as I just tried using a Curves etc Adjustment Layers with the same thing happening with the defaults changing to White foreground etc automatically. Is there something I have ticked or changed that has made this change

Changing Photo To Just Four Colours, and Seperating
I need to change a photo into just four colours in preperation for producing a litho, this will allow me to have an image for each seperate colour, that when each colour is printed on the same paper, it makes up the final image, a bit like screen printing. If you try the 'cutout' filter on a picture and adjust the amount of levels to 4, you will see the sort of thing I am trying to produce. What I intend to do is once the image is seperated, create 3 other copies, then delete all unwanted colour sections, minus the colour I need for this particular part of the picture. I have tried by converting the image to "indexed colour" and selected black and white, then entering 4 colours here. This does give me 4 colours, however when I try to just select one of the colours and remove it, it looks like there is an underlying colour, i.e this colour selected is actually made up from two of the colours, as if it is mixed.

Photo Printing - Not Printing To Border
i've tried both borderless and non, I've also realigned by cartridges and updated drivers and program. When I'm printing with Photoshop CS, didn't do it on 6.0, it's not printing properly at all. It's not printing to the edges of the paper (4x6) and the space it's leaving on all sides isn't even. If I choose borderless it's even worse and if I print a larger picture on 8.5 x 11 and pick center, it's not even close, I'm talking inches off.

What I would want to be able to do is to reduce the colors in the pictures to only 4 specific colors (plus black and white). The colors must be very specific. for an example: "ff2600". To be totally clear: I need the ALL the different types of yellow into be transformed to just one type of yellow. So my question is am I able to do something like this in photoshop?

Using The Colour Sampler With Curves To Adjust Colours?
can anyone tell the advantage of using the colour sampler in conjunction with the curves adjustment when correcting colour casts in a photograph? I have a photograph with a slightly blue cast on it and ive corrected it by opening the curves pallete and ctrl clicking the image to place dots on the curves and adjusted the curve accordingly. I have read that it is a good idea to place 4 color sampler points on the image and use them somehow in conjunction with the curves. But how? Has it got something to do with eyeballling the color sampler readouts in the info pallette. I cant work out what the advantage of doing it would be.

Text In Most Contrasting Colours To The Backgroung Picture
I need to make a text above picture readable in the east way. Making text colour a single color is not successful always; even tough I select the most contrasting colour to the general picture colour. I am not professional in pictures, colouring etc. But, I think there should be a colour contrast concept. A simple example is that white is the most contrasting colour to the black or vice versa. Can I use Photoshop so that it will change the colour of the pixels of the text to the most contrasting pixels colours of the background picture? I think in that case the text may be read in the easiest way.

Saving Images That Show Correct Colours In Safari
I have created an image in Adobe Photoshop CS2 as an image with some text and a basic drop shadow with a Royal Blue background. It's going to be displayed on a webpage with a Royal Blue background. I saved it as a PNG via the Save As method. All works well on Windows (except I haven't tried Safari for Windows) and Firefox on Mac OSX, but Safari on OSX shows the image background colour to be different from what it should be. It does display the webpage background colour in the correctly. After some searching I found that this might be caused by Photoshop imbedding a colour profile that Safari doesn't understand. I've tried several things (including Save for Web) but can't seem to save an image without the colour profile. My current colour profile is sRGB IEC61966-2.1. how to save an image without a colour profile? Or if this won't solve it - any other possible solutions? I don't want to save it as a transparent background because the drop shadow is very different when displayed on the page - I'd like to try and keep it as I want it.

Monitor Screen Colour And Printed Document Colours Don't Match
I'm having trouble getting both of my printers to print out to the same tone/colour that is displayed on my Monitor. Neither are accurate Is there anything I can do with my monitor settings, or my photoshop/illustrator colour settings so that what I see on the screen is what will be printed out. The printers are : 1) Hewlett Packard 1220C 2)Epson Stylus 2100 They both print out differently. For the HP printer I've looked at the 'Image Colour Management' and it states the 'ICM is handled by host' For the Epson printer the Colour Management is set to 'Automatic: Windows will automatically select the best colour profile from the list of associated color profiles' I know it's possible to change the Color Setting in Photoshop but I don't really know what to set it to, and who to set it so it's as close to my monitor display as possible. (I work with RGB colour)

Printing In CS4
I have just started using CS4, having upgraded from CS2. When I go to print in the print dialog box and go to the Printer Profiles box I am unable to see or select my paper profiles for my Epson 2200 and R300 printers. There is a large number of profiles, primarily various color spaces, but only one paper profile for my Epson 2200. There also isn't any arrow or other way to scroll through the display to see the missing paper profiles. All of the missing profiles are the standard paper profiles provided by Epson either with the printers or from their website. Do I need to reinstall these profiles in some way in CS4 or is there something else I should be doing to be able to access these profiles?
