Visual Basic :: HELP: Realy Simple File Sending

Simple Question.. Realy Easy
ok i have this program im tryin to make and it loads a .txt into the text box and there are screen names in the text box and look like this( blah@aol.comblah@aol.comblah@aol.comblah@aol.com) what im tryin to do is to get the program to use the mid function or somethin of that sort to put them into a list like (blah@aol.com

blah@aol.com) how do i load the .txt into the text box first off? cause i can do a list box and get it to load and everything but the text box is trickin me?

OK, so it looks likes its working fine but it slowly messis up when you move the screen around so im guessing its somthing small thats wrrong, also it COMPLEATLY messis up if you min the form or make it really small.

Realy A Newbee Question . Need Help On A Simple Loop.
Hi i was wondering if anyone of you could help med with this.
I'm making a simple program with several labels, and i need to change the labelX.top command on all my labels.
This is easy in simple code, but there must be a way to automate it , so i dont have to wright it all inn.

Sending Image Over Winsocket Without Saving File.. (sending Directly)
I am trying to send images of the desktop to a remote computer for a while now... i managed to do it with bmp format but that is just to big.. i tried jpg but still isnt really fast.. is there anyway to send a part of the image without even saving the image?

i tried sending through a long value but can't seem to set the other picture to the long i recieved :S

btw i tried searching the board with no codes nor results answering my question :S

Sending A Simple Enter
I'm having real problems sending or writing an enter to a text file or Window.

For example I want to send a string to a Windows-textbox

But instead of sending an enter it sends an | (in notepad a square).

I just noticed when I paste it here it is working fine.

I used to use a workaround with a textbox with an enter, but now even that doesn't work anymore. It is pasting the text to the Windows-Textbox but it is not sending a "correct" enter.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Is There A Simple Way Of Sending A Thumbnail On A LAN
Is there a way of sending a thumbnail of a BMP over a LAN?
I can create what look like a thumbnail with StretchBlt but it seems to be only the picturebox that gets smaller, not the actual bitmap.
I don't want to view the thumbnail at the sending end but I want to send the smaller BMP in a propertybag like it's bigger brother so bypassing the picturebox step at the sending end entirely would be better.

Sending Simple Databases In Between Hosts
hello!

i'm a newbie to the forum and to VB as well. i'd like to send simple databases in between hosts/clients but am cluless as to where to start. thing is, i'm trying to do a program which simulates how the RIP routing protocol sends its updates (i.e. a router sending its whole routing table to its neighbors) using only pcs acting as routers. the updates are simple tables of network info which gets swapped in between hosts on regular intervals. i thought the best way to do that is simply to send the database as it is (just like how a real router does it). can someone enlighten me on this? i'd really appreciate any help i could get.

Simple Question: Sending Ranges To A SP
I am wondering if it is possible to send ranges inside an Excel spreadsheet to a stored procedure. Right now I am dealing with a sheet with roughly 40,000 rows and it takes several minutes for it to send all the data to the SQL database. However when I retrieve the data from the data it takes less than a couple of seconds for all the data to be inputed into my Excel spreadsheet.

I usuallly do not use VB or use any of these programing tools as I do none, but I need to use messaging for now , and to play around and understand it,, I tried getting the number of items in a foreign windows SysListView32 control. To do that I understand I have to send a message to the control class of that window which is the SysListView32 list box. And thus, in VB I experiment with the following:

please, this simple problem is pestering me. It makes no sense why t would not work

Is BltFast Realy Slow?
guys i wanna draw trees on a forebuffer which i then copy into backbuffer. The drawin' area is like 800*600 and trees are like 80*60. But bltfast is * * * * slow drawin the trees on screen it reduces ma fps to half when the trees are more than 20. :O any1 got any idea???

Realy Weird Thing In Vb6
Ive goten a FILE counter and it works with the*.* thing
anyway it only counts the files in its own directory ,
so ive tryed to do a project but it doesent work properly , and after a few testings

ive found out that the file was in the directory i want to be ( the file as in the one that counts the files in its App.path )
and it gets to that directory by another program a (handler) i like to call , the handler basically copies the counter to a directory to count the files in it.

but when it gets copied i made it MSGBOX number of files and app.path

it sayd the number of files that the (handler ) was in , and the app.path was in another directory. this is very weird ... i dont know how to fix it not evin a possability.

i hope i made my self clear becous eim bad at explaining.

I've made a program. then I made with the Application Setup Wizzard a install program. then I send it to someone. he started setup.exe and the program said that he couldn't find Cchat.exe. this would be necessary to extract ex_ files. I've searched for this Cchat.exe file, but it's a chat program!! isn't this weird? what can I do to make my program work at the other persons computer?

A Realy Challenging Topic, Well I Think So!
I have need to be able to open a word document and view it within either VB, preferably VBA or Java and then print it in a pdf format. We have Acrobat and thus a postscript printing capability. I imaging you can get a VB control that facilitates opening and viewing word documents but I have no idea where you get one or how you use it, let alone how you go about printing it out.

Can this be done?
Cant be done in VB?
Is it exspensive?
How do you do it?

Winsock Sending 3 X 2Mb Byte Array...little Problem..simple Answer (I Think)
OK, I click Send.
I create a byte array, which is 2Mb in size.
This gets sent to th server and a progress bar show how much of the data has been received. This works fine.
When it's finished I send another one, it does exactly what the 1st one did. progress bar works, it retrieves all the data. Perfect...or so I thought.
If I click Send, and while the server is receiving the 1st 2mb data I click send again thenthe server receives 2 x 2Mb data streams, and extracts them perfectly one after the other and processes the data. Nothing wrong here.

However, if I click send 3x then the server only receives the 1st and 3rd 2Mb byte array???

Is it beacuse I have overwritten the client buffer, so the 3rd 2Mb array overwrite the 2nd 2Mb array before it has chance to send?

Oh, I am using the cSocket winsock class.

GURU's: Sending Keys To A Game. Sounds Simple, WRONG!
I tryed to build an app that watches a programs log and send the right keys depending on the new lines in the log.

BUT sendkey does not work while im in the game. The game is not windowed at all and if you try to alt-tab the game will exit on you.

Now I can get the sendkeys to work while using notepad in the same manner so I know it works, its like the game wont accept them.

Anyone know away around this one

In Table customer I use NR=autonumber
so when I klick on DBGrid1 I use NR to call same NR from Table workingTime, Rent and Whois

DBGrid1 is to slow, so I want to tray to use treeview and listview

But need help to now how I call customer into treeview and use NR from treeview to call the rest from NR in rest og the table
and pudit into listview..

Sending File To As/400 In VB
We are looking for a way to send a PC file to the as/400 in Visual Basic with out using FTP. I assume ODBC would work, but I can’t seem to get the right SQL command that will create a new AS/400 object. We are basically looking to copy a file from 1 platform to the other without any manipulation.

File Sending?
Hi there!

Say a friend has a file on their C drive, let's call it X.txt for ease, is there a method I can use to make VB send X.txt to me automatically when they run the program? I've tried many methods given to me by people such as FTP and email attachments but I can't seem to get any to work =/

Another method that would work is to get the text that's inside X.txt to be published live over the internet somehow? Like on a geocities website or something.

Any help is appreciated.
