Lotus Domino Objects

Hi All,
Can somebody help me in downloading Lotus Domino Objects from the internet.

I tried searching the IBM Website, but I could not find a single link where I can download the Lotus Domino Objects for Visual Basic.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks..

Lotus Notes && Vb6 && Domino Objects
Using domino objects.. I can manipulate the email body of a lotes notes mail.
But, what I really want looks quite easy...

Lotus Domino (Lotus Notes R5) - Send Emails - Bet I Get No Replied :o)
When creating a document to send emails using Lotus Notes R5, you create a session, database and a document object. All the documentation I have found on the web, well all 2 pieces, don't work. They say that the document object has a SUBJECT property and in their example they have:

VB Code:
objDocument.Subject = "The is my subject title of the email...Woof"

But in practive this property doesn't exist. Niether does the BODY(Email message) property...

Any Ideas???

Adios,

Woka

PS...How many replies...Oooooo...7 reads, 0 replies... That's what I am predicting...Hehehehe

VBA And Lotus (v 6.5.1, Apparently Domino)
amazingly (after much time, research, internal screaming and bad thoughts about IBM) i have managed to code (in VBA 6) a solution to the seemingly simple task of creating a formatted message in lotus. below are a few things i have not been able to figure out how to code (and may be impossible for all i know)...is there any way to...

(1) ...set a font in the message (memo) body other than the lotus default fonts ("FONT_COURIER", etc)? as only font property i can find is NOTESFONT with limited allowed settings.

(2) ...access and append a stored signature - not the digital kind, but the HTML kind? (please do not mention "PassThruHTML")

(3) ...just simply PASTE (a formatted selection from Excel of Word) into a message body?

ANY help whatsoever, even in the negative ("No") is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Crystal Reports And Lotus Domino
I have created a Cyrstal Report that is connecting to a Lotus Notes DB. I am pulling in a field that is a RichText field. When the field returns to Crystal, it is truncated. I have the field in Crystal set to "can grow" and it does, but still is not pulling in the entire contents of the field. There is no rhyme or reason to how many characters of the Rich Text field is pulled into Crystal. Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Call Lotus Notes Objects
Hi everyone..

***************************************************
A brief introduction:
We(our company) have developed an addin program in Outlook. Recently our client wanted us to do the exact program, but in Lotus Notes environment.
***************************************************

The problem:

I want to create a button that will appear in the New Memo page using Visual Basic 6.0. Please refer this pic for a clear view of the program flow:

What type of Notes objects should I use in Visual Basic for creating the button? I referred to COM Together but the sources are quite limited.

Any helps/code samples/step-by-step guide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance. and Thanks for your time.

Domino Mail
Hi all

I am planning to use Notes/Domino server as my mail server to send automated e-mails with VB6 Client. And I found code to do that in your FAQ section (Thank You).
What I want to know is that when I use ‘SEND’ method in a loop, will it waits for the delivery completion of the first one to start sending the second one. Or will it put all to a Queue first (Like CDONTS do) and send one by one from the queue. Please Explain

Thanks

Access Create Lotus Object, Lotus Runs Macro??
Hi all,
I have this problem, I want to export data to Lotus123. Questions:

1. Lotus is not in Tools-Reference object library. Where can I get and how to add it.

2. From Access I want Lotus123 to run a macro. This macro will open the file I created by the Access..transferspreadsheet method (saved as WK1). Then the macro will reformat and make the sheet look nice, etc..

I did something similar in VB6 but it is for a Word application. I hope to do something like this with Lotus123. But is it possible???

dim myWord as Word.Application
set myWord = createObject("Word.Application")
set myDoc = myWord.Documents.Add(App.Path& "myMacro.Dot")
myWord.application.run "NPGC"
' where NPGC is the name of a macro in myMacro.dot file
myWord.visible = true

3. I want my Lotus object to rename the file. How?

Thanks for help

Objects In Behind Other Objects Covering Up Objects Infront
I've been experimenting with direct 3d and I came across a snag. It seems that regardless of the z cordinate the objects are displayed in the order they are drawn. So if object1 is supposed to be behind object2 but is drawn after object2 object1 will actaully be drawn over object2. Is there a slick way around this problem.

Resizing Objects Bring To Front Other Objects In SSTab
Hi.
I've got a SStab object with 3 tabs. Each tab has one MSHFlexGrid.
These object are in a MDIForm Child.
When I resize the child form, i'll do this code:

Code:
'Consultas is a form
'every object started with Grid is a MSHFlexgrid
Public Sub FormConsultas()
On Error GoTo Erro

Consultas.SSTab1.Height = Consultas.Height
Consultas.SSTab1.Width = Consultas.Width
If Consultas.Width < 11925 Then Consultas.Width = 11925
If Consultas.Height < 8055 Then Consultas.Height = 8055

Consultas.GridFactESDDExp.Move 90, 600, Consultas.Width - 420, Consultas.Height - 2000
Consultas.GridAcordoHorasFech.Move 90, 600, Consultas.Width - 420, Consultas.Height - 2000
Consultas.GridAvisosCobrancas.Move 90, 600, Consultas.Width - 420, Consultas.Height - 2000

Erro:
Select Case Err.Number
Case 0
Case 384
Case Else
MsgBox Err.Number & " - " & Err.Description & " - " & Err.Source
End Select

End Sub

What happens is: after resizing the form, sometimes, the grid of the 2nd tab persist visible when tab 1 is selected.
What can explain this behavior, and how can I avoid this?
Thanks

For...Each With A Dictionary Of Objects; Send Objects By Parameter
Hi

I have two problems

First
I have a dictionary of objects (Sentence). I want to do a For...each, to modify all the objects in my dictionary but I want to use them by ref

dSentences: Dictionary
Sentence: Object
Display: Sub of Sentence
********************
Dim sKey As Variant

For Each sKey In dSentences
Debug.Print (sKey)
dSentences.Item(sKey).Display 'To use them directly in the dictionary
Next
********************
Results:

"key1"
"Value3"

"key2"
"Value3"

"Key3"
"Value3"

Gives only the value of the last Object of the Dictionary. I don't understand because the sKey always change
Maybe my syntax is bad, but it executes Display.

The second one: how to send objects to other subs by ref? I tried the traditional way but it don't seems to work

Thanks for your help

Objects: Incorporating Arrays And Other Objects
Hi, I'm new.

I am just learning OOP and am trying to create a "camera" object. What this camera does is "takes a picture" of arrays of points and lines in 3D space and puts it on a PictureBox using Visual Basic's PSet and Line methods. I had been using this camera frequently in non-object form, but distributed in different subs, (e.g. to orient the camera, to move the camera, to change its sensitivity, etc.).

I am using the VB5 professional edition and am confused about two things:

1) Visual Basic does not allow arrays to be public members of Objects:

Option Explicit
Public Point(32000) as Point3D 'Gives Compile Error
Public Line(32000) as Line3D 'Gives Compile Error

I can work around this by using Private arrays and transferring data one at a time from the outside with a loop structure. However, this doesn't seem eloquent to me. Is there a leaner way to fix this?

2) How do I incorporate a PictureBox into an Object? Can I make a separate PictureBox within the camera object and transfer the picture to the outside PictureBox? Or can I somehow reference the outside PictureBox to the camera object?

Any suggestions, general or specific, would be greatly appreciated .

Thanks!

Reference To Objects And Clone Objects
Hi,
I have a question about object references:

I did this:
...
Dim Collection1 As New Collection
Collection1.Add "Hello"
Collection1.Add "World"

Dim Collection2 As Collection
Set Collection2 = Collection1
...

Does Collection1 and Collection2 have a reference to the same
object?

If they do, how can I clone Collection1, and make Collection2 point at it???

Thanks,
T.

VB6 With Lotus 1-2-3
How to use VB6 to open new Lotus 1-2-3 and write some data (string) to it?

Lotus 1-2-3 V9.0 And VB 6.0
How can I edit data in a Lotus 123 (WK4) spreadsheet. Basically I need to insert a string into a particular cell of a sheet.
I've tried using ADO:

- Open an ADODB connection to the spreadsheet then execute an ADODB command to insert data (using SQL statement), this results in error: 'Operation must use an updateable query!'

I've also been advised to use DAO but I'm not sure of the code to use. I can read the data in the sheet but I'm not sure how to edit the cells.

VB With Lotus
in my vb form which i use as a menu, is there a way i can creat a command that will call lotus program?

Using Lotus 123 With VB
I have a VERY large model that lives in LOTUS 123. We are at least a year away from translating that model into excel. I have been give the task of creating a face for the Lotus model in VB and having the results logged in Excel.

I have done enough VB to understand how to use the excel objects, but I have no idea what to do with lotus. Any clues?

Hide Sheets/objects, Save, Unhide Sheets/Objects
There was another post about this recently. I have pieced my code together with that and the help doc. here is what I got.

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeSave(ByVal SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel As Boolean)
Dim strCurrentSheet As String
strCurrentSheet = ActiveSheet.Name
With Application
.ScreenUpdating = False
.EnableEvents = False
End With

If Hidden_Elements_Hidden = False Then Call Hidden_Elements_Hide
If SaveAsUI Then ThisWorkbook.SaveAs Application.GetSaveAsFilename Else ThisWorkbook.Save
If Hidden_Elements_Hidden = True Then Call Hidden_Elements_Show
Sheets(strCurrentSheet).Activate

'NOTE THIS LINE
Cancel = True

With Application
.ScreenUpdating = True
.EnableEvents = True
End With
Workbooks(ThisWorkbook.Name).Saved = True

End Sub
This works fine if I manually save the workbook and then manually close it.
Although, if I just goto close the following happens. I get the save changes prompt. After it saves, I get that same prompt again.

Any Ideas?

Edit:
Is there a way to test if the document is closing in the beforesave event?

Lotus Notes
Hello,

I would like to ask you to help me with the following problem:

I sent an email to addressee (in Visual Basic), who is only to "click" on generated message and by this he is to confirm by return email whether attachment delivery has been successful or not. This generated message is longer than 76 characters. It is o.k. when the addressee is using Outlook, but there is a problem for addressees using Lotus Notes. The Lotus Notes will split the message to lines - 76 characters long only - and the message will be created from the first line only. Is it possible, to create similar procedure used for Outlook for addressee with Lotus Notes ?

Thank all.

Example of the procedure :

'=============================================

...

Recipient = "name@post.com" 'with Lotus Notes
BackMan = "myname@mail.com" 'with MS Outlook
SubjectOut = "TEST"
Body = "...message longer than 76 characters ..."
MessageOut = "... mailto:" & BackMan & "?Subject=" & SubjectOut & "&Body=" & Body

Call SendMail(Recipient,Subject,MessageOut)

...

'=============================================

Sub SendMail(Rcp, Sbj, Msg)
Dim myOlApp As Outlook.Application
Dim mi As Outlook.MailItem
Set myOlApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
Set mi = myOlApp.CreateItem(olMailItem)

On Error GoTo MailError
mi.To = Rcp
mi.Subject = Sbj
mi.Body = Msg
mi.Send

Set myOlApp = Nothing
Set mi = Nothing
Exit Sub

Excel To Lotus?
I have a button in my excel workbook to copy a single sheet to a new file and place on the desktop named as the worksheet tab name.

I always have my lotus notes open and always want to send a note to someone containing the file created by the button.

Do you think its possible to get a new message to open up, address itself to john smith then send automatically. I dont want to have to open up notes or anything so there would be no security passwords to enter.

Thanks for any ideas

VB And Lotus Notes
Hi,
I am trying to access the Lotus Domino Server from Visual Basic 6 using COM.The situation is that on my machine i have both the Lotus Notes Mail box (version 5) and Lotus Domino Designer (version 6).The Lotus Domino Designer is cofigured to access the Lotus Domino Server (version 6) on some other machine .
But my problem is that the VB program is taking the user of Lotus Notes Mail box and not Lotus Domino Designer (version 6).I want it to take the user from Lotus Notes designer so that it should be able to connect with Lotus Notes Server on other machine .
What should i do it to take the ID from Designer and not Mail box ?

Thanks and Regards,

I'm sending e-mail via Lotus Notes with my vb app.

It works fine. But when vb exits it will not clear the screen of the Lotus Notes.

Using

Set Session = CreateObject("Notes.NotesSession")

To open the Lotus Notes in preparation to send

and

Set Session = Nothing

To end the session

My problem is this .... After the vb app. ends the Lotus Notes is still on the screen and to get it off you must use the 'x'. Anyone have any ideas as to what to do or call to get lotus shut down properly from vb?

Help With Lotus Notes && VB
Hi all,
I am really in need of help please!!!

I can't seem to make this code send to more than one recipient via Lotus Notes. The vaRecipient (and '2) are found via a lookup and then linked to a cell in the workbook.

Sorry if this is unclear - but please advise IF you can tell me where I'm going wrong!! To me, this code SHOULD send to two recipients, but only sends to one?

VB Code:
Public Sub SendToClaims() Dim noSession As ObjectDim noDatabase As ObjectDim noDocument As ObjectDim obAttachment As ObjectDim EmbedObject As ObjectDim stSubject As VariantDim stAttachment As StringDim vaRecipient As VariantDim vaRecipient2 As VariantDim vaMsg As VariantDim vaEmail As VariantDim MySaveAs As String     Const EMBED_ATTACHMENT As Long = 1454    Const stTitle As String = "Active workbook status"    Const stMsg As String = "The active workbook must first be saved " & vbCrLf _    & "before it can be sent as an attachment."     'Check if the active workbook is saved or not     'If the active workbook has not been saved at all.    If Len(ActiveWorkbook.Path) = 0 Then        MsgBox stMsg, vbInformation, stTitle        Exit Sub    End If        'Save a copy to server with Query no as File Name.        MySaveAs = "S:RMAccountsaccountsMI TeamServiceQuerySavesQuery"        Cells(1, 1).Select        Sheets("Query Form").Copy     ChDir "S:RMAccountsaccountsMI TeamServiceQuerySaves"        If MdlWorkings.i = 0 Then        ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs FileName:=MySaveAs & Sheets(1).Cells(2, 10).Value, FileFormat:=xlNormal, Password:="", WriteResPassword:="", ReadOnlyRecommended:=False, CreateBackup:=False    Else        ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs FileName:=MySaveAs & MdlWorkings.i, FileFormat:=xlNormal, Password:="", WriteResPassword:="", ReadOnlyRecommended:=False, CreateBackup:=False    End If             vaRecipient = Sheets("Query Form").Cells(1, 25).Value    vaRecipient2 = Sheets("Query Form").Cells(1, 26).Value     'If the user has canceled the operation.    If vaRecipient = "" Then        vaRecipient = InputBox(prompt:="Please enter a Valid Email address")    ElseIf vaRecipient <> "" Then    Else: Exit Sub    End If         'Get the message from the user.    Do        vaMsg = Application.InputBox(prompt:="Please enter a message")    Loop While vaMsg = ""          'If the user has canceled the operation.    If vaMsg = False Then Exit Sub     'Add the subject to the outgoing e-mail     'which also can be retrieved from the users     'in a similar way as above.    Do        stSubject = Application.InputBox( _        prompt:="Please add a subject such as:" & vbCrLf _        & "30 Day Response time", _        Title:="Subject", Type:=2)    Loop While stSubject = ""     'Retrieve the path and filename of the active workbook.    stAttachment = ActiveWorkbook.FullName     'Instantiate the Lotus Notes COM's Objects.    Set noSession = CreateObject("Notes.NotesSession")    Set noDatabase = noSession.GETDATABASE("", "")     'If Lotus Notes is not open then open the mail-part of it.    If noDatabase.IsOpen = False Then noDatabase.OPENMAIL     'Create the e-mail and the attachment.    Set noDocument = noDatabase.CreateDocument    Set obAttachment = noDocument.CreateRichTextItem("stAttachment")    Set EmbedObject = obAttachment.EmbedObject(EMBED_ATTACHMENT, "", stAttachment)     'Add values to the created e-mail main properties.    With noDocument        .Form = "Memo"        .SendTo = vaRecipient & "," & vaRecipient2        .Subject = stSubject        .Body = vaMsg        .SaveMessageOnSend = True    End With     'Send the e-mail.    With noDocument        .PostedDate = Now()        .Send 0, vaRecipient & "," & vaRecipient2    End With          'Release objects from the memory.    Set EmbedObject = Nothing    Set obAttachment = Nothing    Set noDocument = Nothing    Set noDatabase = Nothing    Set noSession = Nothing          'Activate Excel for the user.    AppActivate "Microsoft Excel"    MsgBox "The e-mail has successfully been created and distributed.", vbInformation        ActiveWindow.Close End Sub

VB And Lotus Notes
Has Anybody out there ever had to try and use Lotus Notes as a mail server.

I am currently working on a database that needs the ability to send out reports via Email. The way that I am doing this is to save the report as an .rtf file and then connect to lotus notes and send the report as an attachment. I can do all of this, however, if the person sending the report inputs an incorrect address to send to, notes prompts them for the correct address by reading the address list on the servers.

This is a internal company notes server, with about 80-90 different servers, with about 10,000 different names to send email to.

Does anybody have any idea how I can validate the name being sent to is within the servers??

Has anyone ever sent Lotus Sametime messages from VB,
