Microsoft Calendar Control 8.0 WIN XP <> WIN 2000
I've developed a VB appliction with the calendar control 8.0 on a Windows XP system with Office XP.
When I run that applictation under Windows XP with Office XP, the calendar works fine.
BUT when I run the same application under Windows 2000, I can't see the values on the calendar, I only see buttons, but no dates.....

I've registered mscall.ocx on Windows 2000.

Hope somebody can tell me what's going wrong.

Im using the microsoft calendar control 11. What I am trying to do is reading from an access database change the colour a date if there is a field related to it in the database. Then once this date is clicked it takes you to a new form with the record displayed.

I have an application with 2 calendars in 2 different forms. It was working fine in Windows 2000.

Now that I have Windows XP, one calendar is correct and the other one only shows a BIG "O" for october.. it seems the month name is showing with a font size something like 90 !

I look at both calendar, both settings are the same.

And the strangest part, in the IDE, both calendar are correct when I run the application !

Anyone knows what's happening ???

I started using an old VB6 project that I developed using office 97.

Now I am using Office XP and am having problems.

My calendar 8.0 seems to be the problem and it seems that v 10.0 fixes the problem. Right now if I even click on the calendar object(without running the program), VB6 crashes.

I cannot find 10.0 ANYWHERE.

Can someone point me to a place to download it as well as instructions on how to install it??

Microsoft Calendar Control 9.0 Can't Display On Most PC
Hi all, I am quite new in VB6 and need for some help~

I just add a VB existed component "Microsoft Calendar Control 9.0" in my project. But this calendar control only work on some Window XP platform. For those who using Win2000 and some of WinXP platform, all the font on calendar can't be display properly (just blank and show the grid only).

Note that I am using VB6sp6, and the calendar also worked fine on my WinXP sp2 PC, but mayb not for others.

Any idea about this problem?

Problem With Microsoft Calendar Control In VB

in the application developed in vb6.0 we are using calendar control 11.0
in all machines we have tested the application, everything looks fine, but on the clients machine no number shows for dates when opening the calendar form. Please, if anyone could help me with this. Thank you a lot!

Microsoft Calendar Control Version 9.0 Usage
I am using Microsoft Calendar Control 9.0 for selection and display a set of specific dates for each month.

I need to use the calendar control in the following way :

Data entry :

To use the calendar control to select a particular month of a particular year, then allow the user to select several dates to enter. The program then stores these dates to database.

Enquiry :

To use the calendar control to select a particular month of a particular year, then the program would read the database to retrieve all previously entered date for that month and display is a listbox.

THe problem:

Maybe I don't know enough how to use the control but I found that I am unable to know which month the user has selected. There is event for a "new" month or "new" year but there is no property for the currently displayed month or year. There is neither event for a next month or previous month, so it is impossible for the program to know which month's dates are to be retrieved.

I doubt why the control is so primitive, or is that I don't understand how to use it ?

Could someone help to enlighten me ?

hi , i am having problems with this calendar control, i have developed an application that uses this control on a form .this form is called from variuos places by simply clicking a button , now after installing this application on a system running win 2000 sp1, the application runs but when the button to call the form containing this calender control is pressed , windows opens an intallation dialog box & asks the user to insert the win2000 install cd ( strange is'nt it ??) after the user cancels it the application runs showing the calender control & it never asks to install any thing even though the user calls the same calender form many times , untill the application is closed and started again , this happens only the first time the form containing the calendar control is called , any suggestions ??

Access 2000 Cursor Postion And Activex Calendar Ctrl
I have a form I am working on for data entry. The users enter in dates in multiple fields. I also have placed on the form for their conveinence the active x calendar control 9.0. The problem is when they decide they need to change months they use the calendar control. I would like for their cursor to stay in the field they are working in even though they are clicking on the calendar. I have seen programs do this before, just don't know exactly how it is done.

hi, i'm doing doing a project using vb 6.0 and i'd like to add a database to it. now i already made the database in microsoft access 2000, but when i try to run the program, already linking the database, i get an error stating: "unrecognized database format 'path to database'. i don't understand what this error means. if someone can pls help me out, i would appreciate it.

I converted a Access97 database to a Access 2000 and now when my VB app starts up I get a run-time error 3343 "Unrecognized database format". Does anyone know how to fix this! I have data objects were set up to Connect to Access but I changed them the Access 2000 since the database was converted. Either way it still dosen't work. I need some help!

i want that the user can input the value in the textbox and when clicking the command button that it populates the listbox with the records that are equal to the the value in the textbox. the recordset of the form is calling the table name "educ_emp_leave_sick", which basically stores data of employees and from this table it will allow data to be viewable to on the form

After a database has been setup with user security and everything, how do you remove this. so the files secured.mdw and all my users and passwords willl be gone. I want the database to be the way it was before I added this.

OS:Windows 2000 SP 4.0
D/b:Office 2000

I have a Access db which was working fine for 5 yrs on a standalone m/c

Now recently, we've upgraded to work on network.

Now, this d/b is operated by 3 persons.

Now the problem is, the database is getting corrupted every now & often.
But, Repairing the d/b would solve the problem. But for that all the three users have to close their application. One of the user will repair it. and then others start the application.

But this is happening very often. Even when 2 users are not operating, but their applications are open also, the third computer makes the d/b corrupt.

The client wants it on Access backend. This is my problem.

How can I solve this.
What's the solution?

Please help me out.

Windows NT/2000 Security And VBA In Microsoft Access
Hello all,

First off, I'd just like to say I am not trying to write a hacking tool......this is a genuine, work related task! :-)

Basically what I have got is a series of remote computers for which I have the IP address and a list of possible passwords which can number between 1 and 10 or so. My application at present runs an external application, which starts from the first password and then if this is incorrect then it moves to the next password, all the way up to the last if none of the others are correct.

The problem I have is that the external application takes a LONG time to run, even if the first password is correct, so as you can imagine if it has to go through all ten then it will become unusable.

What I need to know is if there are any Windows API functions, which will allow me to perform some kind of dummy logon, i.e test each of the passwords in turn until either one is found that is correct or all have been checked and then I can use the correct password to run my external app.

Any help or advice would be most welcome!

Code Executes Twice On A Subform Requery Under Microsoft Access 2000
I have a subform within a main form. The subform has
code that executes ON CURRENT.
The code executes when the main form loads which is
fine (runs through code once).
I use a subform.requery statement to requery the
subform (it reads scale data from the serial port).
I have to have the requery because I want current
input from the scale. The problem is when it hits the
subform it runs
through the code TWICE. I did not believe it, until I
actually Stepped
through
the code with the F8 key in debug mode.
Does anyone have any idea why the code would execute
twice on the requery?

I have a workaround by taking the subform out and just
doing a docmd.openform/close
from the mainform to call the other form. The I-O
ActiveX module I am using
requires a form to deposit the output.

Modual Problem In Secured Microsoft Access 2000 Database
Hi,
I am having some issues while setting up the user level security in access 2000. I have ran the user level security wizard and it worked great but on all my forms and reports where I use a module object it says "invalid username or password" and I click end and it opens the form. But it works fine on all the other forms and reports that don't use any module objects.

I know that there is a way to write some VB code to connect to the database but everything I saw you must put a DB path and password which is not going to be possible in my case because the database uses the module in many places and the database is going to be deployed to many different computer systems with different paths and passwords thus it is not feasable to change the code at every install. What can I do?

The error:

I open the database and a user name and password box pops up. If I type in an invalid username or password here it tells me it is invalid and this is not the problem. If I log on as an Admin then everything works fine. But when I log on as any other group (Read Only, Full User, etc...) the database opens fine with no errors but as soon as I open a form that uses a module the following error pops up:

run-time error '-2147217843 (80040e4d)':
Not a valid account name or password

With 2 options End or Debug. If I click end the form opens but the module does not run (I know because in one case the module object adds some text to the form).

There is no errors however when I open a form that does not use a module object.

VB 6.0 Calendar Control With Access Database
Ok, I'm most certain I'm not the only one who has been in this boat!

Calendar Control for VB6. Quite the nice tool. When you click on it, it passes the value of the date you clicked on to the "Value" property. Spiffy...

Now here's my dilema. I'm working on a scheduling application. My form is frm2Schedule, my ado Control is adoSched, my Calendar Control is MSched, I have text fields bound to my database for both the date, and the various time slots of this schedule application. My goal is to have the Calendar Control perform a few things:

1. When a date is clicked on in the calendar control, the function will begin a search query.
2. If this query fails (date not currently found in database), the function will call another function to create a new record, and the date for the record will match MSched.Value.
3. If this query succeeds (a record is found with that date), the function will call up this record.

Below is the start of my code. I'm familiar with VB, but this is my first time using the calendar control. Does anyone have any helpful advice to tackle this problem. I think I need to put an IF in here, but my IF failed.

Access - Using VB To Control Popup Of Calendar
I'm trying to use a calendar in Access 2003 to enter data in data fields.
I found a site that showed how to write the code so it will popup when you click on the date field and then disappear when you select the date from the calendar.
I got it working but I want to be able to access that same calendar for other date fields on the form.
So I used a variable call 'originator' to pass the originators name to the variable.
Only thing is...now it doesn't work. I get a type mismatch error and I don't know why. It's exactly the same as the example I found(obviously with my names substituted in).

Please help. (dob is the field I want the date to go into and Calendar6 is the name of the calendar I'm using.) Here's my code:

it shows 24/4/01 as 4/1/24 how do i fix this?

Hi,
I am creating an Access database and I want to add a Calendar control to ensure users pick a valid date. In my form I click on 'More Controls...' in the toolbox. I have a long list available and choose CoyoteCalendar2.Calendar and this adds the functionality I need.
However, I am a little worried that when I move this database to another users computer the ActiveX control may not be on their machine. Is this correct and if so how would I get the control onto their computer?
I don't even know how the Coyote Control got onto my machine - it may have been while installing another program e.g. Visual Studio.
Any help is appreciated.

I have a calendar control (class MSCAL.Calendar.7 if that means anything) in an Access 2003 form. (It's actually in an Access 2000 file format.)

Calendar Control And Simple Access Query
For some reason this won't work:

I am not sure why. The Date_PS field is a date (short date format). I have this query running on the Click event and when the value of the click is present in the access table, it won't be selected. I haven't gotten mismatch errors and have tried a bunch of formatting things to try to get a match, but at this point I am at a loss.
