Moving Single Items From One Folder To Another
How do I go deleting a message in my inbox, and have it show up in my Trash? I know this much of the process:
1. Delete the message (Don't need info on this)
2. Empty the listview when the user clicks on the Trash folder (Don't need info on this either)
There's a Step C, which involves retrieving the sender, subject, send date, and message text from the message, just like I did when retrieving new mail. How would I retrieve the data for just that message, and add that to the now-empty listview?
An example of what I want to do would be found inside Outlook Express. Note as it empties the listview when you change folders, and then loads the contents of the selected folder.
Sorry if this seems a little vague, but that's the best I can explain it.

Moving A Single Image From One Form To Another
Hi,
i wonder if anybody can help me.
My Problem is as follows:
I have two forms. The first form is full screen size and the second form fills half of the screen at the top. On the second form i have an Image, the first form is blank. i want to move the image by clicking on it with the mouse and moving/drag it on to the first form is this possible? im not sure it is.
Another way would be to have identical Images on both forms but have the Image on the first form hidden. So when i drag the image from the second form to the edge it will become hidden and at the same time the image on the first form will appear still stuck to the end of the mouse giving the impression of ther only being one image. Would this work and if so what would the code be? Or is ther an easier way of doing it?

This almost works. Instead of getting rid of the line altogether, it's just writing it as a blank line (which is not good). To keep it nice and short, how do I remove the line insteade of have it write ""?

Moving Through Items In A Listview
Am I being a complete , or what? I'm trying to move through the items in a listview, so that I can insert the entries one-by-one in to DB - ie each item in the listview represents a new record in a DB table.
Now, I would have expected (as with all things VB) this to be quite straight forward. Something along the lines:
ListView1.selecteditem.movenext
I know this a bit hopeful, but I can't believe there's no way to incrementally move through all the items.
I've been through MSDN and searched this entire forum for a similar thing but I cant find anything.
I must be missing something really obvious here!
Moving New Menu Items From One PC To Another..
Hi there. I'm using MS Word 2003 in my PC A. I'v built a new menu (e.g. Letter Template with 35 sub menu items (each item built with some macro scripts)) on the menu bar (at the right of "Help") and now I have to work with another PC B. How can I move the new menu items from PC A to PC B without having again to use the "Customise" to add all the menu items in PC B?

i have two lists!
list 1 list2
math sci
history soc

drawing fun
physics sci
biology sci
phys.eductaion fun
list1 has the subjects
list2 has the category of the subjects
now i can arrange the second list so that sci goes first then soc then fun
(i have the code for this) but the problem is that together with the category also the subject should move.
so i want them to move together when being sorted!
is there any way to keep them together!
i have done something with listindex and topindex but it is not functional for this case!

I got a list box with a playlist for a radio show..and to the right of it i have 2 more listboxes..one with duration of track and the other with the point in time at which the track starts in the show.

The user is allowed to delete one line (1 to 20).
If the used deletes line 7, I need to move all items 8 to 20 down 1 and zero number 20 so I don't have a blank line in position 7

I've never used a Collection before and I was wondering how would I go about moving an item from one index to another?
I want to display the item that has an index of 0 and then remove it form the collection at a certain interval. Then I want to move all teh other items up a spot in the collection. (1 becomes 0, 2 becomes 1, etc.)

I'm using a ListView to show information. I want the user to be able to click and drag one of the ListView items to move it higher or lower on the ListView. Is there any way to do this? I know that you can do it with command buttons, but is there a way to do it with the mouse?

Moving Messages From One Sent Items Box To Another!!!

Am desperatly trying to allow PA's to send as their bosses and there be a custom rule that moves the sent item from the PA's Sent items box to the bosses sent item box. Ideally this would be automatically and not be a forward.
I have got code to check the from feild on entry to the PA's sent item box and then forward it on to the boss but I then need to populatre the from feild so that I can run a rule at the bosses end!!!

I would like to write (or print) to a file numerical data in the following form:
11, 12, 13 (CHR13)
22, 23, 24 (CHR13)
etc
or just:

In some programming languages (e.g. Fortran) this is easy. In VB the only way I can think of doing this:
concatenate the individual data items in string format until the EOL
and then when reading data back from the file I have to parse and convert the individual string items to Val(s).
I'm using VB5.
Is there any way to do this in a simpler manner?

I'm trying to avoid the line-by-line format, such as:

14
22
23
24
etc.

Moving Items From Listboxes To Table
I want to move rows with items from listboxes to a table. Each listbox is a collumn of items, and I want all items to be moved to the database table one row at a time, and remove the rows from the listboxes when they have been added to the database. I figure I need loop function for this, but I dont have much experience with them.

does anyone know how to shift listbox items around with the mouse? a good example would be winamp's playlist. the code i came up with works fine...if you move your mouse slowly. if you go fast, it'll pretty much mess up the order because the cursor jumps around when you move your mouse too quickly.

Moving Items Between Listboxes (RESOLVED)

I am trying to do simple moving items between Listoxes I have a lbxAll that is populated with all items and lbxSelected that is to contain the selected items. I need a functionality that user will be able to select more than one item and at the push of a button these items will be transfered to the other listbox and removed from lbxAll

The first loop works OK items are copied into lbxSelected But I am always getting error when a Item is to be removed I think this is because once the item has been removed the whole index of lbxAll will change... But Is there any way of doing this?

Selecting A Folder With A Dir List Box With Only A Single Mouse Click
I was wondering if there was an easy way to access folders on a dirlist box using a single mouse click.
For instance:

windows
is displayed in a dirlist box
It takes a double mouse clickon windows to go to system32:

Do I have to write a click event for the dirlist so that it somehow does a double click? I would think there
would be an easier way.
Sorry this sounds really dumb. My users are complaining about the double click.

Moving .MDB Folder W/ *.DLL's
Hi everyone...I am near completion of my first real access project. To add a few features I have referenced & registered 2 DLL's. I deliberatly set up the code so the folder with the mdb, images and dll's could be moved around. However, now when i move the folder the DLL references become missing and i need to re-register them in their new location.
I cannot expect my employers to do this everytime they copy the project to a new location. Does anyone know a way around this??

I am really new to VB. I have a question. On my computer, I have a folder of around 6,000 mp3's. I am wanting to write a program that I can tell it to look for a certain artist in a certain folder. If it finds the word(s) that I input, then it moves the files to a corresponding folder on another drive where everything is organized by folders of artists. Is it possible? I tried with Scripting.filesystem Object but it dosent have an option tooverwrite existing file so if any file
already present it fails to move and the files remain in the sourcefolder....

Help A Newb: Moving Emails Into A New Folder
I recently started programming macros in Microsoft Outlook. I was disappointed to find that I could not record macros, but I am attempting to get around that obstacle.
What I need to do is create a new subfolder within a folder then move the emails in the original folder into the new subfolder. I also want to execute this for all these original folders. They are all within another folder named "Archived Email" From searching through the VBA help for a few hours, I was able to put together this program. I've tried to modify code I've found on the forum, but when I run it, it never works (probably because I don't really understand it.) My program creates the new folder, but I have tried many of the methods to move the emails into the folder, all to no avail. I also don't know how to cycle through the folders. I should say that I am very inexperienced with objects and don't truly understand what much of the help tells me.

Automatic Location Of A Folder And Moving
FUNTIME ! For this question and example, lets say that every computer has a folder called Funtime, and all of the files in the Funtime folder are text (.txt) documents.
I have to extract the files from the Funtime Folder, but here is the problem. One User has 9.x, so the system path is C:/Windows/Funtime. The next User has NT, so the path is C:/WINNT/Funtime. The next User has Windows 2000 Professional or XP, so the path is C:/Documents and Settings/Funtime. These are default locations, so I don't want to bother the settings or create a special folder.
How can I extract from all of these different locations and place into another folder? Since hardcoding C:/Windows/Funtime will only work for 9.x and not the others, that wouldn't do the job. Somehow there must be a way to extract from all of the different systems by having VB find the Funtime folder. And, keep in mind, the next version of Windows might have Funtime folder in a path such as C:/Windows/Personal/Funtime. Who knows?

Moving .msg Attachment To Folder In Outlook
I'M STUCK
I want to be able to take all attachments from a specific Sender and move these attachments which are *.msg attachments to a folder within Outlook.
I can move all the emails sent from someone to a folder, and I can save the attachments from a certain sender to a file using the SaveAsFile fcn.
But how do I get the file back into an outlook Folder
I have no clue, I'm quite new at this, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
