Unable To Add Picture To Button
I have a picture I want to add to a command button. Under the properties of the command button, I click on "Picture" and browse to the image file (jpg). I select it, but the button does not change. What am I doing wrong?

Unable To View Window Bg Picture.
I have a frame on a window, and a picture for the form, Now i want the frame to be transparent so that I can see picture even through the frame, I saw a window like this but I am unable to create such type , can anyone help me in this.

Unable To Print A Picture From The Database On The Report!!!

We are a group of two developers currently working on Visual Basic 6.0
with MS-Access 2000 as the back-end.
We are currently involved in a educational project in which the Access database
stores questions(in a Memo type of field in Access) pertaining to different subjects like
Physics, Mathematics etc.
The questions are entered through a VB form into a richtextbox which then gets
updated in the database as a memo field.
The questions are stored in the database table as richtext symbols as shown below:
So when a picture(i.e. containing a graph etc.) or a chemical equation is saved through
the richtextbox of VB into the database, this is the following format in which it gets
saved in the Access table.

The issue is that we are UNABLE to create a report containing the questions using
DataReport
of VB as it does not support richtext control. Image controls of Datareport too don't work!!!
Creating a report in Access containing richtextbox ActiveX control also does not work.
This is a issue confirmed by Microsoft and the workaround for the Access report has
been provided by a company FMS Inc.. But their package is a trial version only!!
So could u please help us out 'coz this is posing a major problem to us as the end-users
(in our case , students) need to see the subject questions in a report format!!
RTF readers were also not of much help.
Help pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Webbrowser - Unable To Click Button
I have a problem concerning clicking a button in a .asp webpage.
I stripped the code of the website and uploaded it to a host:

I can't seem to be able to click the button using WebBrowser.
Tried different things, all from this excellent forum but I can't make it work.
I really hope someone is able to help me.
Unable To Change Button Color.
I changed the uggly form background and then the color of the frames in the form but when I tried to change the color of buttons buttons they didn't change. I tried background and mask?. I guess I didn't pick the correct property, or there is some other property that locks the button so that the color can't be changed.

Changing Picture Of Button On Button Down Or Click??
Hello,
I am writing a a program for a radio interface... what I am trying to do is change the picture of a button once it is clicked or depressed. Example-- when I press the mute button, I would like the image on the button to change colors (indicating it had been pressed) and when you click it again it un-mutes and returns to the original image.
Hopefully I have explained myself well enough... any advice would SURE be appreciated...

Unable To &"click&" On Commnd Button

I have an MSHFlexgrid. When I click/mouse down on a particular cell, an invisible text box (in pink) and a command button are made visible. I first give the textbox.zorder and then the command button.zorder. As you can see, the command button appears in front. However, when I try to click on the command button, it's the grids mouse down/click event that is triggered. Why is this?

I'm using Axialis IconWorkShop for icon. I exported an icon to be usend as a picture in a button.
In button's property windows I set the picture path. it is an icon file or a bmp file.
After that nothing appearson the button. Itremain the same without the picture. Should this picture hhave specific characteristcs like 256 colors or size ... You know

When a button has a picture, how can I see what that picture is? When I click the picture property it doesn't take me to the folder where the picture is. When I look at the picture property in the immediate window it just gives me a number, 2131038149.

I am new at vb, and i was wondering if any of u guyz could help me. I have to pictures, and basically what i want to do is this. When a person clicks the one button, the other button shows up. So ex. the one button is grey, and the other is yellow. When a user clicks the grey button down, the yellow one appears. Can ne1 help me with a simple line of code? Thanks!

In an existing application I have added a new form.
On this new form there is a button on which I need to display a picture same as on button in another exiting form.
How do I find out where is the piture on the existing form coming from.

you may have noticed that when you change the property of the normal command button "Style" to = "Graphical" , you are capable of having a picture on the button...
the problem is that i want to have a picture on the button's left side while on it's right side ( the picture's right side ) there will be the button's caption...
p.s as far as i have seen , the caption of the button will always be under the picture !
i want them ( picture + caption ) to be side to side

I have a command button that has a picture in it, the picture is loaded as a bit map onto the button with the function of the button written on the picture ( Print, Clear Form, etc...), so if I change the picture I loose the text that explains what the command button does.
The problem is that I need to keep the command on the button but change the picture.
1. Is this possible?

2. How to write the code to load a picture into a command button when the form is loaded.
3. How to resize the picture to fit the command button size?

I would like to know if it is possible to create a random picture button

Picture On Command Button
When I add a picture to my command button, the picture always goes on top of the text. This causes me to resize the command button and make it bigger. My question is how would I put the picture in line with the caption, and not make it go over.

The file 'back_off.bmp' definitely exists and I tried without the App.Path and but still gives me the same error 'type mismatch'

Picture Button And Toggle
I have a custom control which is a picture button. It has the properties picture.down, picture.up and picture.disabled where each of these properties are given a bmp image during the design stage. It does not rely on the 'load' system. i like this control as it allows the buttons to autosize to the picture without a border etc.
These pictures are then shown when the button is pushed.
Would anyone know how to turn this into a toggle button.
It does have the CausesValidation property if thats any help.

I'm using a form that was generated by the Data Form wizard. At the bottom, there is a row of buttons (Update, Cancel, Delete, etc). I need to add a button. But dragging and dropping a command button doesn't seem to put the button inside the object in which the rest of the buttons are housed. This object is given as a picture box. I looked up picture boxes in my book and it's all about pictures and animation. How can I add a function button to my generated form?

Button2 contains an icon picture called “Pic1.ico”
By clicking Button1 I want to remove this picture from Button2 (return this property to None in Button2) and by clicking Button3 return it back to button2

It works some thing like if you double click the ole object, it will let you add the picture from any source, hard drive etc.

I see that one of the properties of the command button is picture, however when I link it to a file, no image appears on the button? I don't get an error, just (Bitmap) with no picture on the button. Button Vs. Picture Control

In my program I'm using about 100 Picture Boxes. When I click on any Picture Box it changes background color in rotation (Red-Yello-Green-Blue-Brown- and back to Red). For efficiency reason I wanted to use Image Controls instead but they don't support background property.
What if I use 100 Command Buttons (style=1 graphical) and change their colors when clicked, would that be more efficient that 100 Picture Boxes? All I want is to be able to click on small square (Button or Picture Box) and by doing so change it's color.

How can I make the regular command button with graphical style to have the picture besides the caption not above it.
I tried the command button in Microsoft Forms 2 Object Library (FM20.DLL), which I can control the picture position, but it have a 2 problems:
1- it stics if I had double click on it !!!!!
2- somtimes the button loses its picture !!!!!!!!
I also tried some other OCX's but all of them have missing proprties like (defualt, cancel,....) or not free
Please I need a solution....

ICONS As A PICTURE ON COMMAND BUTTON
I'm loading icons into a IMAGELIST control as 16 x 16 icons.
I'm then setting the PICTURE property of command buttons to the images in the IMAGELIST control.
On my PC they are views as small 16x16 images most of the time. Sometimes they show as 32x32 images for no obvious reasons. When running the program on other machines the images always show as 32x32 ? I want them to always show as 16x16. What is happening ? We are all using 1024 resolution with truecolour set in the appearences section of windows.

Hello All, up front let me say i am a newb, with just enough experience to be dangerous
I am having problems with a program i am working on using vb6, esentialy it is a layout of command buttons wich i have made graphical and am placing pictures from another form in the project onto the buttons, depending on variables the user selects in the opening screen, the images need to be vertical or horizontal (or sideways).
So my problem is a couple of the buttons i need to make it appear that the picture is sideways. redrawing the command button isnt hard at all, but rotating the image 90 degrees, is what is realy driving me nuts. I am guesing there has got to be a simple way to do this but after 4 days of searching and reading my eyes are crossed and i am running out of hair to pull out
Any assistance would be most appreciated.
