C++ Program For ATM Machine

Write a program that simulates an ATM machine.

Assume an initial balance of 10000. A user may withdraw, deposit, or inquire as many times as he desires. The program will only end when the user chooses to quit the program, otherwise the program should loop and prompt the users for actions.
For security, include an authentication routine that will prompt the user to enter a password. The user is only allowed three attempts to enter the correct password. After the third attempt the program should terminate.

heres my code:

/*
***Automated Teller Machine with authentication routine***
by MikhaeL Franko T. Mogol
*/
#include<iostream.h>

int main()

{

int password;

for (int i=0;i<3;i++)

{cout <<"enter password:";
cin>>password;

if (password==123456)
{cout<<"korek!!!";

double balance = 10000;
double withdraw, deposit;
int option;
cout<<"";
cout<<" ***MOGOL***";
cout<<"*** Automated Teller Machine***"<<endl;
cout<<"Choose a Transaction:";
cout<<"";
cout<<"[1] Inquire Balance "
<<"[2] Withdraw "
<<"[3] Deposit "
<<"[4] Quit "
<<""
<<"Enter Option:";
cin>>option;

switch(option)
{
case 1:
cout<<"[[[BALANCE INQUIRY]]]";
cout.setf(ios::fixed);
cout.setf(ios::showpoint);
cout.precision(2);
cout<<" Your current balance is $"<<balance<<endl;
break;
case 2:
cout<<"[[[WITHDRAW]]]";
cout<<"Enter amount: $";
cin>>withdraw;

balance = balance - withdraw;

cout.setf(ios::fixed);
cout.setf(ios::showpoint);
cout.precision(2);

cout<<"You withdrew $"<<withdraw<<endl;
cout<<"Your remaining balance is $"<<balance<<endl;
continue;
case 3:
cout<<"[[[DEPOSIT]]]";
cout<<"Enter amount: $";
cin>>deposit;

balance = balance + deposit;

cout.setf(ios::fixed);
cout.setf(ios::showpoint);
cout.precision(2);

cout<<"You deposited $"<<deposit<<endl;
cout<<"Your new balance is $"<<balance<<endl;
continue;
case 4:
cout<<"***[[[EXIT MODE]]]***";

break;

default:
cout<<" That is an invalid option ";
}

break;
}
else

cout<<"Pls try again!!!";}

return 0;
}//

i'm almost done with my program except for this condition
The program will only end when the user chooses to quit the program, otherwise the program should loop and prompt the users for actions.
pls help me!!!=(

Run Program In Different Machine
since I meet a problem that when I run a program in my computer , everthing is OK, but when i try in another machines, it come out with error, some machine will run the program well, some doen't, y?is that the problem of machine itself or my program got problem?

Setting Which Machine To Run The Program
Does anybody know if there is a way to set a program to run on a different computer using an IP address or something like that.

This is what I'm trying to do: Using RSH shell in unix, tell Windows 2000 to execute a program. The program will run on the NT box, but no GUI will display. So all execution will run, but not GUI will display. So what I was thinking of doing is, somehow inform the VB program of the NT IP address, and when it runs, it will display the GUI on that NT machine. It's worth a shot.

Change Machine Program
Change Machine: The user interface has three text boxes, four labels and two buttons.
Text Boxes: Sale Price, Amount Tendered and Change
Sale price, Amount field should accept only numeric data as dollars and cents. If the user enters say '16.55568",it should round off to nearest cent "16.56" before making computation. If a user tries to modify amount tendered or price, the change and coins field should blank out. These fields should not accept negative numbers. If the amount tendered is less than Price, Bring up a Model error dialog box with a "vbCritical icon" a message" Amount tendered is less then the Price" and change field should blank out. If Amount or Price fields are blank bring up Modal error dialog box with a "vbInformation icon" & a message " You must enter an amount in both Price and Amount Tendered"

Labels: Quarters,Dimes,Nickels and Cents
These are labels with display Quarters, Dimes , Nickels and Cents. The machine should use least number or coins while computing the change.

Buttons: Change and Quit
Change is the default button and displays change when clicked. The form should have "The Change Machine" and only a close button on it title bar. The dialog boxes have "Error" and no button on their title bar. Quit is for exiting from the program.

Here is my program i did please verify the error for me thanks you

Why Won't My Program Work On A Client's Machine?
I'm trying to distribute a program to my customers, but when they receive it they say they just get an error message when running it. I've put together an installation package using Inno and I've included all the VB system files, so I assume something wrong with my program?

How would I go about working out what's wrong? I can't think of what to do, as the program runs fine on my machine. What could the problem be?

They're getting 'runtime error 76' I think. Is there a list of the errors somewhere?

Is there any other way I can work out what the problem could be? I'm really confused

Program Crashes Employer's Machine: Help!
I have a very strange problem, and have been tearing my hair out trying to come up with a solution.

I wrote a program that performs experiments using genetic algorithms. The program isn't too complicated, though may at certain times be holding up to about 10 000 separate objects in memory.
This program performs beautifully on my computer. This program causes my employers computer to crash without warning 3 times out of 4. His computer is about 10 times more powerful than mine, though he has XP home instead of professional. We are both running the program from source code, using VB 6.0.
Though the program almost always causes his computer to crash, it doesn't always happen in the same place, even when using identical initial values, suggesting that it has something to do with the dynamic environment it is acting in, rather than being hardwired in the code. Are any of the below possibilities possible?

-He suggests that since his computer is much faster it has less time for garbage collection. This sounds completely backwards to me, but is there any chance that he's on to something?

-It's possible that not all my variables are properly initialized. If so they would be VB types like integers and strings. Is it possible that they do not get automatically initialized the same way on his computer and on mine?

-I redim variables several times in the code. Is there any way that this could be bad? He thinks everything should be dimmed once in a module and never again, and is willing to have me hardwire array bounds in the code to have this happen. Is there any sense in this?

-Anything else??? None of the above options look plausible to me, but they are the ones that he favors most. What tests can I run to check hypothesis? What can I do to stop all this? Arrghhh!!!! I'm supposed to be on my summer vacation!!!!!!

Sorry about that. Anyway, any suggestions would be more that welcome.

Thanks,
-Asbestos

VB Program On Multi Processors Machine
I am going to write a program that runs on multi

Installing Program On User Machine Fails...
Ok, here's the situation. I've written a program sent it to a friend for him to install. Doing so, however, didn't go smoothly at all.

Specs are as follows:

Development Machine:
WinXP Pro
VB6.0
No VB Service Packs

User Machine:
Win2000
Up-to-date

Here's what happened. He ran the install and got a message "Some system files are out of date, you must update them before setup will run properly." So he clicked ok for it to update his files, etc. Rebooted. And ran set up again and got the same message (we believe, in reference to msvbvm60.dll).

So, I decided I'd try to run the install file and see what happened. It ran flawlessly. Is this a problem with Win2k? Is this a problem just with his machine? Or is this problem caused by me not having SP5 & SP6? I tried running SP6 the other day and it failed... (Cannot find SHELL.DLL) Do I have to run SP5 before I run SP6?

I do have VB and SP6 downloaded to my F:, and not C: -- would that effect it? It shouldn't, eh?

Any insight, I would really appreciate it. I'm at a loss here.

Error Installing Program To Win2K Machine
I have a program that requires the user to have windows media player installed on their computer. It seems to install fine except on a couple of machines running Win 2k.

During the install this message comes up "GLJ1C.tmp - unable to locate DLL - The dynamic link library gdiplus.dll could not be found in the specified path ..." and it lists a whole bunch of folders. The program will finish installing but when they try to start it they get a RTE 339 - "component wmp.dll or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered".

Prior to installing the file WMP was updated to version 9 and worked fine. After the failed install WMP no longer works.

I suggested finding where gdiplus.dll is located on their system and trying to copy it to the folders that it lists in the original error message (like WINNT/System32) but then they get an error "The procedure entry point GetUserGeoID could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

Anyone have some experience with Win2K that could point me in the right direction?

Installing Xp Made Vb6 Program On A Millenium Or 98 Machine
Hi, i have a app i created in vb6 on my xp machine. I would like to install it on other 98 or millenium machines, but you see, they have other vb6 apps on their machine that were developed on win 98 machines. So, if I install my my app, it overwrites soem files even if I say no to overwrite. So, is there a way, other than compiling my app to win 98 machine, to install my app on those machines?

Development Machine: Win 98 - Target Machine WinXP: Any Issues?
Hey there - I'm about to start a project where my development machine will be Win 98 using VB6 (SP5) and Access 2000 (i.e., an A2K database, NOT Access automation). The target machine is running Windows XP and the Office XP suite. When I'm ready to do the setup and installation, are there any "surpirses" I need to watch out for? (My impression is that there should be no particular issues, but I could be wrong, which is why I'm asking.)

VB Variance From Machine To Machine
I wrote a VB program on my Windows XP machine. It does multi table queries,
you can add/delete and edit records, it all worked very beautifully. I was
very careful to validate data, and on my machine it works very well.

I compiled it, and sent the executable, which works fine on my machine, to a
business elsewhere.

They also have a Windows XP machine. When they run my executable, using the
same database I use, the program opens and sets all textboxes (which are
linked to table fields) to blank spaces. When he makes a change to any
record, that change is copied to every record.

I am posting this in the API section because I think this is the only place I can get it.
I need to know the name of the machine my App is running on.

Machine Name API?
Is there an API (or other method) to get the name of the machine/computer? (This is a VB6 project.)

I have some customers who use multiple machines to run the client application from, and I need to be able to tell which machine they are connecting from. I have a unique hidden seriel ID number that lets me track unique machines - but when dealing with tech support, it would be far easier to just let the user tell me his machine name and I could then check the user log files and cross reference the ID numbers by machine names.
