Video Encoding In Visual Basic
I recently had a request from a company that needs to pass some video from vcr to the computer but in means of using visual basic instead of the software it comes. They don't need an advanced encoding or stuff like that, they only need to pass video from vcr to the computer in which it is saved on a given directory and at the same time saving the path into the database, also to be able to play it in a form in visual basic and be able to capture any image from the video or even record a small segment of video into another video file. They want to skip the step of encoding the video through another program and then use visual basic to browse where is the file in order to save the path of it, so by having all these options on forms in visual basic is the most preferable way. Does anybody know any ocx or component that let me handle all this in VB???? I'll appreciate any suggestion / help.
Play Video -- Visual Basic 6
To anyone who can help me, i am in desperate need of assistance. I am working on a project that involves playing video files. At the present time I am using windows media player but am not tied to it, and can use any tool to play the video clips.
The question I have is: How can i preload clips so that I can have them play one after the next with no delays or pauses. I tried to have two windows media player compenents so that when one was near completed the other one would load the next clip, but i wasnt able to make one visible and one visible after the first two, it always kept the second one on top.
Please, if oyu have any suggestions or experience with this, please, i beg of you to offer your guidenance as I am growing desperate.

Ideas:
A person can watch a live video from the computer.
There are 2 computers that one of the computer is to transfer video files over network and the other computer is to receive it and play. I have a problem on how to transfer/receive live video files through internet using visual basic 6.....
Problems:
I don't know how to code the program and what controls should i use........
The internet protocol that i am using is HTTP and i'm using LAN network.

Video Interface In Visual Basic Form
I am developing a project, briefly discussing, this form is a visitor pass form. where in there is a requirement that when there is a visitor to the company, after they enter the details of the visitor they also need to put a photograph of that person. For which they are using a Web Camera, And an option with which they can take a print out of that pass with photo.
The question is how to use the driver of the Web Camera or give an interface in the VB Form such that by just click of a button on the form, his photo should appear in a place alloted on the form, and also should be able to take a print out.

Capturing Video From Webcam
I've got a USB webcam. I wish to view the moving picture coming from it, like NetMeeting. Netmeeting - you don't need to specify which camera you are using - it takes the one connected, so therefore there must be a universal protocol used. Netmeeting doesn't search for the drivers. How would I go around doing this?. How would I autodetect? My camera is called a Cool iCam, made by Aiptek.

I am trying to show a short video clip in a picture box. Unfortunately, the clip is not a .avi file, but rather a .exe. Is there a way I can shell the .exe file and display it inside a picture box, as opposed to its own application window?

Screen (Video) Capturing In VB?? Looking For Suggestions
Alright I want to make a Screen capturing program just like sharing your desktop within windows. I have seen some samples, but those work with bitmaps and TCP and that's a way to slow method. So I was thinking of using UDP for it. But I am still thinking of a way to send all data right, cause bitmaps are way to slow, but I can't check (I think) what the user is doing or something.

First of all, sorry about my English...
I wrote a small program to read the parallel port input signal from a sensor. I want to use the signal to execute/play a video but i want then playing in real full mode (without any menu or other things). How cant i make that?

Playing A Video In VB
firstly im not sure if this is the right place
Bascially i want to be able to play a video (in window media player .wma)
when someone double clicks on it, however i cant seem to get it to work, can sort of get it to work by inserting a powerpoint slide, but would rather just have it on the form. I can insert a blank media player but can get it to link to the file i need, so if some one can help me that would be great.
as you can probaly tell im very new to vb so hopefully you know what im on about above
Playing Video
I have big problems with playing video through DirectShow and writing new video files in MPEG2 format from the older files.
1) When I play file after file I have two effects:
a) First image in upper left conner of the screen when next file loaded to view.
b) Black screen in object were playing file between loading files.
2) When I trying cut and join parts from MPEG2 files more than 2GB I have error that files are big.
Trying next for:
1) a. loading file in the end of previous file (part of file) - doesn't work.
b. loading file when playing previous file (in another thread) - doesn't work.
c. loading all files and changing objects where they connected - doesn't work.
2) Trying work with parts of video - but created first problem.
If somebody can help, send me solutions, links to it, and suggetions.

Problem In Frames Capturing From Video Card
I have installed Pixel View (Video capturing card which supports "VHF/UHF/AV") in my PC and i also have a small video camera which gives the (A/V) output, this works fine on pixel view's default software TV Pro v5.23 (composite video source mode) , and i designed a programe in VB6 to capture the frames of the camera and display them on picturebox by using "avicap32.dll". It works but when i start my programme so it does not give the good result, and when i start Tv Pro 5.23 and then close it and after that i again start my VB6 programme so it works fine and give the fine result. so tell me why its happening and where i m doing mistake.... plzzzz reply my as soon as possible b'coz my project is stucked b'coz of this problem.

Video Capture Stops Capturing When App Is Minimized
I'm using some ported code from Microsoft on using their video capture API to make a webcam app. The app runs beautifully except for one thing. The preview stops previewing when the app is minimized.
My app takes the snapshots and uploads like it's supposed to, but it's uploading shots of the preview window as it was just before it was minimized. The preview window doesn't begin showing the capture again until it is brought back up.

Playing Two Instances Of A Video File
Quick Question for anyone who can help me
I need to be able to output a video file onto two monitors of a dual headed computer, one in full screen and one in a preview window.
What I am currently doing is opening a divx video twice using mcisendstring and playing one in full screen on monitor two and one in a small preview window in monitor 1. Only prob is CPU usage is very high.
Just wondering if there is a better way of doing it.
