How To Scroll Through A Frame Using Scroll Bars?
hey guys,
I am new here...can anyone tell me how to program a scroll bar in VB 6 so that it will scroll down a frame within the window???
i want it to be similar to a webpage that is longer than the window...can anyone help plz?

How Do You Get The XP Scroll Bars??
I notice that Windows XP uses these blue scroll bars, and that VB6 uses the old grey ones. How do I get the blue ones in my program?

This isn't too big of a deal but it kind of bothers me. I have one worksheet that has 60 rows X 60 columns of data in it and for some reason the scroll bar button (the one you can drag up or down) does not resize based on how much data is in the sheet. I have another sheet in the same workbook that has 100 rows of data in it and the height of the scroll bar button is about half of the height of the scroll bar itself. On the othersheet however it just stays at its smallest size.
I have tried selecting the entire sheet and then doing a clear all, I have also tried changing the scrollarea and nothing works.

This isn't too big of a deal, but if anyone knows how to fix this I would be thankful.

Ok, here's my problem:

In the VB help, there is a tutorial on how to put scroll bars on a picture box (It involves putting a parent picture box down, then a child pic box inside that, then a Hscroll and Vscroll).

I put this code into my program, and it works great! However, i want to disable the ability of the user to grab the slider and bring it to a new position. I want to only let the user click the arrows at the end of the scrolls. The reason for doing this is complicated, but that's the way it needs to be done.

I've tried desperately to disable grabbing the slider and moving it, but it won't work! Also, if anyone knows how to disable the ability of the user to click in between the slider and the arrows (so that the scroll jumps), that would be great.

And please, if your going to answer my question, try to phrase it so that I can understand it. I'm relatively new to VB (not a total newbie, but no where as advanced as most people on this forum), and I have trouble reading very advanced code.

a scroll bar has a max value of 11,727(i think). is there a way around this? i use the value of scrollbar to select a record number, if i go above 11,727 in record numbers, it will crash!!

any ideas?????

I've been messing around with VB and I was wondering if anyone tell me how to add scroll bars to a form. So when I shrink the window size on the monitor I can still scroll to see all the information on the form. I'm using vb6 enterprise.

How can you make a scroll bar max value proportional to the picture box you want to scroll? So that when the info in the box is a little bigger than the box the scroll bar only moves a little. thanx

I have a picture1.picture box and in it I have placed a copy of a map. The map is larger than the picture box. I want to place a horizontal and vertical scroll bars within the picture box so that I can move about the box. Any ideas anyone.

I'm sure this is really simple but when i have my cmdSend send the txtSend to the txtRecieve the txtRecieves scrollbars wont scroll down automatically. How can I make it scroll down and stay with the text.

Is there a scroll bar control out there that provides greater flexibility than the one in MS Common Controls SP3?

Specifically, I'd like it to have a transparent background, and a custom value for the number of blocks it has to fill in.

I am making a text program like Notepad, but when the user inputs more text than the text box's size, you cant see the text anymore.So I was trying to put in a scroll bar to let the user scroll down with his text, but I dont know how to do that. Can anybody HELP!?!?!

I use this piece of code to remove the scroll bars from the browser

the problem is that if u manually refresh the browser the scroll bars re appear.

is there any way I can stop that from happening?

I want to build a program and I want it to have a set size.... keeping in mind some people have small screens still.... so I was thinking of having the program display area inside a box which can moved by using the scroll bars!! just like a webpage!

I have an MDI parent form containing a few dozen child forms stacked vertically. The MDI form displays an appropriate vertical scroll bar which I would like to control in code. My goal is to be able to "jump" to a specific child form.

I 'm not able to find anything on controlling the MDI scroll bar.

Hi,

There are 3 forms in my APPLICATION.

1 is a startup form or splash screen and another 2 are USER INTERFACE.

Now these 2 forms are fairly big in size on screen and they need MINIMUM 1024 X 768 resolution to see full.

So, I want to use scroll bar on both form and so I can see it in 640 X 480 resolution as well.

Has any one got a code for it...???

You know that with a scroll bar you can either click the buttons at
