I just want to create my own Win10 here, but when I setup the VMs, and running it, It wasn't go well, It froze!
I have tried add the size to 21GB, using UEFI, and deleting the EFI folder, but still not working
Every time I try to reinstall Windows 10 it always hangs when I have to input my time zone, no keyboard inputs or mouse registration however keyboard and mouse works on BIOS, this is the screen that I get stuck at:

New Dell XPS8700. Upgraded from Win 8.1 to Windows 10 and worked fine for about a month.
On start-up, it now hangs on the Dell logo or when trying boot options to start from USB or recovery DVD go to blank black screen. Dell phone support sucked but they sent me a recovery USB drive (to factory set Win 8.1), however start-up would still hang at the Dell logo. Tried all different boot combinations from CD/DVD, USB, OS/Boot partition but cannot proceed beyond Dell logo or black/blank screen. I do not have a original Windows 10 OS disc, however did a download from
HTML Code: [URL] .... to USB and PC does not boot up from that media either.
Used an original Windows 7 Ultimate installation CD to start and get to command prompt to recover files from C: drive and can browse through all folders and files. Copied user data to USB drive. So HDD appears OK.
I am currently using windows 7 64-bit.
I downloaded windows 10 from the ms site (the automatic icon never appeared on my pc), and am using the media creation tool.
All goes fine until 'Getting Updates', when it hangs on 'checking for updates'.
I have tried playing with the settings in Windows update, but suspect the problem lies in there somewhere... my windows 7 was recently proving unable to install all its updates also. I've tried various solutions for that but no luck.
Is a clean install the answer?
I'm upgrading to Windows 10! But it hangs on this part... How to speed this part up?
View 2 RepliesI upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7 and then I realized that all my files stayed which I didn't want all my files so I did a factory reset on my windows 10 upgraded PC and it has been stuck at 61% for about 8-9 hours. The circle loading is still moving but the percentage is stuck at 61. I am worried to turn off my PC in case of it being ruined.

I tried restarted and win 7 loads up and im greet with this message once I log on: 0xC1900101 - 0x20017
The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation.
I get a windows logo on start up that has a circle spinning below it and it does that for about 2 minutes ...
View 9 RepliesI have a freshly upgraded laptop (8.1 > 10) which worked fine until now. When I try to shut down the PC, it just hangs at the blue shutting down screen and the circle keeps on spinning.
I have to hard power off the laptop by holding down the off button, but that isn't going to do the laptop any good.
What can I do to fix this? Is there anywhere that will tell me what happens when shutting down?
Have desktop HP Pavilion P 6000 4GB DDR3 1 Terabyte memory. Had no problem with Win 7, but frequently get the blue spinning circle next to my pointer. Some times it continues to surf other times it give a temp freeze. Checked CPU percentage not high but disk will jump to 100 on startup. The computer light and sound is chomping away when I am just reading the news. Ads in the middle of the page on both sides of any game I play along four or five TV commercials during a 15 minute online Hearts. Reset to factory settings. Hardware problem or Win 10 too busy data mining. I google an issue and 10 minutes later check my email getting solicitations on the same issue.?? Edge was very fast when first downloaded. Oh yes download speed is 35 but runs closer to 40.
View 1 RepliesI currently have Win10 32bit. I made a bootable USB and DVD to upgrade to the 64bit version, both yield the same results. Each time I try to perform a clean install, it just hangs at the blue windows logo, no spinning circle just the logo. I let it sit for about 4 hours and nothing changes. I've tried many methods but none seem to work.

When i start the laptop it stops at the dell logo and does nothing till the time i dont press a key. After pressing a key it starts log in.
View 1 RepliesSo I've waited for the notification to say that Windows 10 is ready to install and the installation got stuck on a black screen with a blue windows 10 logo. Now it says my Win 7 is invalid. So I made 2 bootable usb. One using Rufus and another using the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool. Same issue occurs with both. I am thinking of installing Windows 8.1 and try to upgrade from there but before I do that.

Whenever I stop moving the mouse, the little blue loading circle keeps blinking. Now I don't exactly if it's causing any problems but I'm sure it wasn't doing that before I upgraded and I think it may be related to this second issue:
My touchpad no longer scrolls with two fingers. Now it only scrolls via touching the right side of the pad and dragging my finger up or down. No two finger gestures work anymore.
There seems to be a new driver called Elantech and I've found a settings menu for it but the gesture controls say they're turned on even though they don't work.

Yesterday, after getting infected with malware, I decided to freshly reinstall windows 10 on my computer. However, after reinstalling it, I noticed that my bootup was very slow. During the windows logo part of the bootup, the screen flashes once, and the loading circle of dots becomes slow and low quality. Afterwards, the screen turns black for ~40 seconds, and then I get to the login screen.. And sometimes, I get that issue after logging in.

I have this constant loading going on somewhere in my computer. it interferes with my games or if I put anything to full screen it automatically pulls it out of full screen and minimizes it. It also interferes with my typing. If I'm trying to type in an address to go to a website the flashing loading will make it so I have to keep clicking in the address bar to finish typing out the address. auto saved usernames are also an issue. where I'll type the first three letters of my username. It will pull up then immediately disappear. I have to be really fast to click it or result to the constant clicking of the username bar to put my username in.
Also an issue with right clicking anything. the right click "open, delete, new folder, etc" will come up and before I can move to click what I want it disappears. I restarted my computer and it went away once. I thought the issue was resolved and paid no attention to it. I then turned my computer off and back on after a virus scan and the problem persists again. I tried turning the computer off and on again but again the problem continues. how I can find whats constantly loading/causing the flashing loading icon next to my mouse?
My issue is pretty straight forward: last night I left my computer powered on, and when I woke up, I had a Windows update screen stuck at 100%.
The mouse didn't work, everything was frozen.

Since 2 or 3 weeks when I switch on my notebook, after loading my desktop it hangs loading startup programs.When it hangs, I can't even shut down, I have to press the power button 4 seconds to shut down.It happened with my 3 notebooks, but it remains only in one of them.This problem remains in an HP EliteBook 8540w running Windows 10 Pro 64 bits. In this notebook I had uncheck the "Turn on fast startup (recommended)" when I installed Windows 10, because it didn't shut down properly.I don't know what to do, I tried SFC and DISM tool, both found errors but were unable to correct them.
View 5 RepliesDownloaded and installed 10 successfully, but when I try to open Chrome, I get a blank page with the spinning circle that says "loading". Tried to contact Microsoft customer support and was on hold for more than an hour.
The only reason I am able to post here is that I un-installed it and I'm back to Windows 7.
I primarily use the computer for internet access, word processing and e-mail.
Whenever I press the start button I get the Acer logo screen and the loading dots move without a problem.Then I get a black screen for a couple of seconds and then the Acer logo screen again, but this time the loading dots won't move, as if something went wrong, it stays that way (frozen) for a while, after that the windows loading screen appears (nothing written just those moving loading dots) and I finally get the windows lock screen. I don't think this should be happening, it happens both when the fast startup is enabled or disabled.
View 9 RepliesInstalled win10 and after an hour (?), restarted and got the log on screen. After logging in, windows did some customization and displayed the screen similar to win7 After log on. The screen is frozen, with a blue animated circle (similar to hour glass function), but doing nothing. Logged off using ctrl+alt+del, logged in, same result. Restarted, same result. What do I have to do to make it work or just go back to win7
View 3 Repliesi've installed windows 10 on linux before and i've never had any problems booting it (from what i remember, through UEFI boot sources). currently the windows 10 iso seems to be the only one that isn't appearing in UEFI; i installed peppermint from lubuntu using the same image disk writer on the same usb 30 minutes ago.am i supposed to have some specific settings enabled/disabled in my bios to boot the windows install? secure boot is disabled and legacy boot is enabled.
View 2 RepliesI downloaded windows 10 ISO(I purchased it) file and created bootable DVD and USB using Rufus. I want to install windows 10 in one of the system which had corrupted windows 7 in SSD(No data or nothing is required)
My system config is below
Intel i5(4th gen)
Gigabyte H87 D3H(which has UEFI) and flashed to version 9
Nvidia 9400 GT(driver not updated but the site listing says it is compatible with win 10)
8GB RAM
SSD(60 GB, which has corrupted win 7)
HDD(500 GB)
Believe I have the minimum system requirement to install Windows 10?After selecting cd/dvd/usb, windows 10 logo appears(without any spinning dots, just plain logo) and get stuck there. I waited for 1-2 hour but nothing happened. I searched and some of them have suggested to remove components and keep only bare minimum. So I tried removing GFX card and the HDD, and kept only SSD(default changed to IGFX).
But even then it doesnt move forward from the windows logo screen. how to move this installation further? Any debugging options? Anything I am missing here? I purchased it and hence I dont want to waste the money I spent on it.I checked in BIOS and I can confirm that Fast boot is disabled or Data Execution Prevention and/or similar options are enabled.
To confim whether my bootable DVD/USB had some errors in initiating setup, I tried running setup.exe within my friends machine(win 7) and it is launching and giving me screens to download updates and/or to enter product key. Images attached which gives indication that setup is launching.
But when I try to run the setup as bootable DVD/USB I get the blue logo screen and nothing happens.(even no spinning dots below logo and/or errors to share) Refer Image - Win10_Bootable_DVD.jpg
Upgrade went OK, went back a few days later to download the ISO, ran media creation tool and made all my chorces, english,win 10 pro,x64 bit, selected iso and place to save file. then blue screen comes up and programs states, "getting a few things ready" and that's it, nothing else happens after that, 1hr, 4hr's 12hr's, still both the back and next boxes are grayed out and little dots going in circle. had to use task mgr. to end task no other way to close window. I have done search over the net and at microsoft for this problem, found nothing. done SFC it came back clean. Win 10 is activated.
