The Link Doctor 1.0

The Link Doctor maintains a directory of links, or any other similar information. An offshoot of our popular Database Doctor, The Link Doctor tracks a member database and a listing database, and adds many new tools to manage your site with flexibility and ease.



The Link Doctor supports a complete member area, allowing the public to register and submit listings for your approval. Once a listing has been accepted, the member may update their own listing. Members may also submit and manage an unlimited number of listings.



While the Link Doctor does require certain columns for your database, any number of additional data columns are supported. Collect as much or as little information as is required. The Link Doctor can handle it. The Link Doctor creates all of the messages and HTML needed for forms based on your Column Settings, and then allows you to edit the final results. The look and feel can match any existing site with ease.



As in the Database Doctor, searches performed in the front end script are done with get or post, have any or all text searching capability, and can be limited to search only in one specific column. You set the limit on how many results are displayed on each page, with links to the next results. Results are displayed in HTML that you can customize easily, or can be created by the script itself.



The Link Doctor Manager includes new and important tools to maintain your database. A Member Manager, Link Verifier (requires LWP), and Newsletter section allow you to keep current with your members and your content fresh.
