Java Servlet :: How To Create Files On Server (online)
Jun 5, 2013
I'm making a website with articles (like a blog). I have a webpage called admin.html where you insert the data of the article (title, post etc).
Admin.html calls to a servlet and this sends the information to a SQL Database and it stores and my index.jsp calls to database and show the articles.
This works perfect, and a non-programmer can insert new articles. The problem is that I need to create an .html file for every article/post and save it into my server online.
For example if I create "CoolArticle", I need the file "CoolArticle.html" and save it in my hosting.
How I can do it? I never have seen examples online, all were local, so I can't continue.
I am building an online quiz. I created a database , bean , controller and jsp. I connected database, wrote query , put resultset in arraylist of object and passed it to jsp. My program runs but arraylist size increases everytime and same question get displayed repeatedly . i cant find the error. Everytime i run the program arraylist size increases. I think it is adding same rows again ang again. here is my code for controller and jsp.
Using Eclipse I have imported a WAR with source. I have exported that project as a new war and it ran fine. I then added my own package and exported the war again. The jar file does not show up in /WEB-INF/lib folder. When I deploy the war on a tomcat server it barfs the following error:
Caused by: org.springframework.beans.factory.CannotLoadBeanClassException: Cannot find class [com.sharpline.fields.form.fields.TextAreaFormType] for bean with name 'com.sharpline.fields.form.fields.TextAreaFormType#53c37' defined in ServletContext resource [WEB-INF/activiti-standalone-context.xml]; nested exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
[Code] .....
It looks to me like my class (jar) is missing in the final war. How do I resolve this?
How is session maintained in the application server, internally what happens when the user has logged in ? We create a session and store the user details which will be stored in the session object in the server with a unique sessionID which will be validated when the same user login the system again? But how exactly the session is maintained in the Server internally?

How to force browser to open/save/save as the file from server instead of browser cache.
I am creating a csv file through a pl/sql procedure and forwarding the link to user once user clicks on link he downloads the file, however if the same thing is repeated then browser returns the old cached file instead of new file generated on server.
I am working on a chess game. I need to construct a game room where all the player are present and room chat is up. Also some tables where games are being played. Now my question is how to create this game room?
To me this room must need to be like static or global (if I am not mistaken) that is up when server starts and players can join this room and should be down when server is done. How can I implement such room that would stay up for infinite time.
I am using itext to create pdf files , i have filtered some records (preferably i can say around 90) which has the option to open pdf for individual record. Now I need to open all the pdf's of filtered records on a single click , without asking for a open dialogue box. How to go about this ??
I know I have a 64 bit OS, my computer, will simply not download the 64 bit version of java when I hit the big ol' red button on the main page. and yes, I have gone to the downloads page and downloaded the one that's 64 bit, but whenever I try to play games, it simply won't let me go online. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing seems to work.
I've the following requirement. A centralized server needs to be established using java code. The server's responsibility is receiving the status of the each client machine as a XML file and storing it in the server's disk space. The client machine also runs the java code to send the status to the server as an XML file in a daily basis. I've planned to create a SOAP webservice in server machine and client machine will invoke the soap webservice to send the status. Do I have to establish any FTP server for storing the XML files? Is there any other better solution for this requirement?
Do I have to establish any FTP server for storing the XML files?
Running a java source code through an online java compiler (in which you will just pass the the source code using a http request, then the compiler will return the output/error of the source code automatically)?.
For a project I have to create an online survey, I cannot use a per-made online survey system because I have really specific needs that no pre-made system can satisfy, so my idea would be to create it in java and store the data in some simple text file, which are fairly easy to work with in java. My question is, is it possible, and if yes how difficult is it, to put the entire thing online? What worries me isn't putting the applet itself online, but the text files that should collect the data, I already have the website to host it.
I need to make an java app which will be used only for online banking transaction with credit/debit card ...so i need to know the basic procedures for costumer to come and do the transaction
I am doing a project "online election system" client-server base application.
I have a party registration class in my program. and I have a party registration form in which I want to upload a image(Poll Symbol) for newly register party. but I don't know how to do this.?
I want to develop a dynamic webpage (using JSP & tomcat hosted on windows server) which will connect to unix server and on button "Show Files" click on dynamic webpage it should display all the files present in the unix server.

I am trying to create a new text file in FTP Server using FTPClient but im not able to do. By using storeFile method i can only upload file that is already exists in my local system. But my requirement is to create file directly into FTP Server.
I was just wondering how would I create a jar file that would open 3 other jar files when I open the jar file with my batch file it and when I type stop in the batch file it will out put the stop command into all 3 of the other jar files.
This is for my Minecraft server so I can launch them all at the same time and inStead of having to enter the commands in all the server batch files I just have to do the command in 1 I know their is things like multi craft to do this but I want the code so I don't have to use multicraft.
I'm trying to create a server which sends the clients connected to it its local time. Looking at a few tutorials I've managed to connect the clients to the server, but can't send data to the clients. I've successfully done easier examples, without threading. I guess the problem might be im me not knowing what exceptions are for.
Client: When running the code "AAAAAAA" does execute but "BBBB" doesn't, so I guess the problem should be in fraseRecibida = entradaDesdeServidor.readLine();
import java.io.*; import java.net.*; import java.util.Scanner; public class Client { public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception{ String fraseRecibida;
[code]....
I don't understand the exceptions, maybe I should give them a look before continuing with sockets. Being frank I'm not really sure why the while(true) is there.
import java.io.*; import java.net.*; import java.util.Calendar; public class ServerThread extends Thread{ Socket socket; ServerThread(Socket socket){ this.socket = socket;
