Phone Network - Program Compile But Has Several Runtime Errors
Apr 4, 2014
The first 4 class below are the main classes while the last class is the testing class. I got it all to compile but for whatever reason there are several runtime errors. I have spent hours trying to figure out what they are, but I was only able to eliminate a few.
Netbeans do not detect any syntax errors, but I when I check the build it retuned areas they were a few; It's a simple program name 5 people, gade them then do final calulatoins it's called "grade tool.
heres the code
package gradingapplication; import java.util.Scanner; public class GradingApplication { public static double score(double score){ if(score >= 90){ System.out.println("A");
[code]...
~Problems~
1. It has no gui, I don't know java fx, is java groove used? awt is useful for creating spam bots in robot class, I know it's not very useful but it's so much fun.
I am looking for a way to compile Java Source-Files at runtime and save them all in an executable jar; almost like an IDE would do. I know that there is the javax.tools package which provides a JavaCompiler interface and you can use ToolProvider.getSystemJavaCompiler() to get an instance of a compiler. However, this method has one important problem: it only works on machines that have the JDK installed. Not when only the JRE is installed.
I guess at this point that I need some kind of third party library that offers an implementation of a JavaCompiler. Unfortunately, this is really complicated to search for on the internet since all top listings when searching "compile java at runtime jre" do not really provide a solution to the problem.
I am writing a (somewhat) complex simulation software right now which is supposed to be used by people who have absolutely no knowledge of programming. At the same time, this software should provide the user with a certain amount of flexibility and control over the flow of the simulation.
My previous take on this problem was to build a complex system to interprete user settings from a GUI. I would basically read the GUI input, output it to some kind of own scripting syntax which I just quickly made up and have that interpreted at runtime. Then I realized, that is a silly concept and I threw it out before I got far into the developement. The much better solution I came up with is taking the input from the GUI, create java source code from it and compile it at run-time. Seems much cleaner and nicer to me; will also probably have a better performance, but thats not really an issue anyways.
I am making a simple mod/hack for a game programmed in Java. I located the .class file I needed and deobfuscated it and then decompiled it. After that I went in and made a very simple adjustment that I wanted to make. Unfortunately I can across a problem when trying to compile the file! The file won't compile because there are errors. The reason there are errors is because this is just one file out of an entire game. I know this my seem weird, but is there some way I can compile the file with the errors.
Instruction: You work for a telemarketing company and you are required to write a JAVA program that will generate a random phone number. (talk about a real-world application)
-The phone number should consist of 10 digits -The first 3 are the area code and should not begin with 0, 8 or 9 -The second 3 digits should not be greater than 742 and not less than 100. -The last 4 digits can be any digits -Print the number using the following format: "(xxx)-xxx-xxxx", this way it will look like a real phone number (use decimal formatting)

I have a program that records and reruns network traffic. It was developed in C and runs in my case under Windows 7 Professional but will run almost anywhere. I have observed a lack of stability.
First I have a JAVA stand alone GUI program that runs the program as follows:
g11_bttn_start_script_capture.addSelectionListener(new SelectionAdapter() { @Override public void widgetSelected(SelectionEvent e) {
Iam getting this error at run time while using this command "java mypack.Accountbalance". I have compiled this source code and got its class file that I have put in mypack package but now its showing this error ..
Here's the code : package mypack; class Balance { String name; double bal; Balance(String n ,double b)
[Code] .....
Error: exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: mypack/Ba at mypack.Accountbalance.main(Accountbalance.java:25) used by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: mypack.Balance
I'm creating a program that will compile and run another java program:Lets say I have a program in directory
D:HelloWorldsrc and compiled program will be in D:HelloWorldin inside src and bin is a folder hello (that's a package)
package hello; public class HelloWorld { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println("Hello World"); System.out.println("Hello World"); } }
This program will be run by another program (that's the program that I am creating).Here is the code of my program:
package runnercompiler; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.InputStream; import java.util.logging.Level; import java.util.logging.Logger; public final class RunnerCompiler {
I am Having trouble with my program to validate. It is outputting null into the validation statement then it brings back a run-time error to that validation Statement for the String.
public String validateData () { if (nm == null)nm = "Error! Must enter at least one character"; else nm = name; return name; }//end validation method
Why is this happening, and then once that is completed, why is the validation Sentence in tests Scores not able to validate. I traced it back to out put "Error, a number between 1<100".
public void validateTests () { String testschange; if (test1 < 0 || test1 > 100) { testschange = " You have entered an invalid number, between 1-100. Please restart!"; testschange = Integer.toString( test1 ) ;
I'm trying to read lines from a textfile and count all the words using String Tokenizer. However I keep getting an error "Unhandled exception type FileNotFoundException" on my IDE(Eclipse) referring to lines 13 and 8. When I let the IDE automatically, and I've even tried typing this manually, insert a try-catch block more errors show up concerning inputFile. When I insert the throws FileNotFoundException for each method it compiles but after running it gives me a FileNotFoundException for textfile.txt. What's even more interesting is that when I copy the .java file out of the IDE project folder, place it in a random empty folder on the Desktop with the textfile.txt, and try running it through command line, it gives a NoSuchElementException: No line found.
I created Myproject folder. Inside I have 3 folders:
/lib /src /bin
Inside src there is a .java file:
public class hello_world{ public static void main(String[] args){ System.out.println("Hi, from hello_world"); seba.st.hello_world_package test1 = new seba.st.hello_world_package(); test1.packFunc(); } }
inside lib is a packEx.jar file which I created from this .java file:
package seba.st; public class hello_world_package{ public void packFunc(){ System.out.println("hi from pack_func!"); } }
I am trying to run this program from terminal with this command
javac -d bin -sourcepath src -cp lib/packEx.jar src/hello_world.java
and I get this error:
src/hello_world.java:11: error: cannot find symbol test1.packFunc(); ^ symbol: method packFunc() location: variable test1 of type hello_world_package 1 error
What am I doing wrong ? How can I compile and run this program from terminal?
public class Search { public static final int NOT_FOUND = -1; public static int binarySearch( int [ ] a, int x ) { int low = 0; int high = a.length - 1; int mid; while ( low <= high )
[Code] ....
I keep getting illegal start of expression at ={-3,10,5,24,45.3,10.5}
It says I have 12 errors and I have tried so many things to fix it and I just don't know what to change to make it work.
I have installed software Net-bean 7.4 and it's working, Now i want to compile and run individual program through command line, I mean where i can find java & javac file under the netbean software, so i am able to do this.
Quote : A bank in your town updates its customers' account at the end of each month. The bank offers two types of accounts: savings and checking. Every customer must maintain a minimum balance. If a customer's balance falls below the minimum, there is a service charge of $10 for savings accounts and $25 for checking accounts. If the balance at the end of the month is at least the minimum balance, the account receives interest as follows:
- Savings accounts receive 4% interest.
- Checking accounts with balances of up to $5000 more than the minimum balance receive 3% interest; otherwise, the interest is 5%.
Write a program that reads a customer's account number (integer), account type (character: s for savings or c for checking), minimum balance that the account should maintain, and the current balance. The program should then output the account number, account type, current balance, and an appropriate message.
Your program should only allow 'c', 'C', 's', or 'S' as valid input, any other character for the account type should result in an error message. Format your monetary output to two decimal places, and use constants for all the above constant values.
Sample output: Please enter your account number (int), account type (char), minimum balance, and current balance: 46728 S 1000 2700 Account Number: 46728 Account Type: S You have earned 0.04 interest on your account. Current Balance: $2808.00
I am trying to read contents from a file and display them to the user. However, when I enter the file into the program I get the following error: "exception in thread 'main' java.util.MismatchException. What am i doing wrong?
import java.util.Scanner; import java.io.*; public class Project1{ public static void main(String[] args) throws FileNotFoundException { double balance; double item1Price;
I am trying to compile multiple jar files into one jar file from inside a java program. I know how to do this with shell scripts but I would rather have a universal application than one that will only run on Mac, Windows, or Linux. This is my current compiler code:
if(System.getProperty() == "Mac OS X"){ Runtime.getRuntime().exec("javac -classpath jar1.jar; jar2.jar"); }
I would then continue this on for Linux and Windows, but this limits my application.
SlotMachine.java:21: error: illegal start of expression public static void getNums(int [] slots) ^ SlotMachine.java:21: error: illegal start of expression public static void getNums(int [] slots)
[code]....
i keep fixing small things and cannot get it to compile. Below is the original code,
import java.util.Scanner; import java.util.Random; public class SlotMachine { public static void main (String args[]) { int userMoney; Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in); System.out.print("How much money to start with?
I need to design, implement, and test a program to input and analyze a name. The program begins by retrieving a user input string from the keyboard. This string is intended to be the user's name. These are the errors we have to search analyze the user input for: No blanks between names firstName and lastName, Non-alphabetic characters in names, Less than two characters in first name, and Less than two characters in last name. Each of these errors must be thrown. All exceptions must be derived from a programmer-defined class called NameException. Each exception should use a detailed message to differentiate among the file types of errors.
This is the format of my NameException class, is the format itself correct? I will fill in the details of each exception I am just wondering if that is how I should set it up.
public class NameException extends Exception { private String firstName, lastName; public NoBlanksException(String firstName,String lastName) { } public NonAlphabeticalCharactersException(String firstName, String lastName) {
[Code] .....
I was told not to try and catch thrown errors in the main method, would I just create another method in the Driver class to take care of that then?
I'm having the hardest time getting a program to compile. I'm beginning to think I've downloaded the incorrect version of turtle graphics. This symbol looks foreign and I'm unsure how to find a solution. I have fixed some of the errors since this last picture but I will write out my code. The program takes a photo and converts to gray scale then to sepia
import images.APImages; import images.Pixel; import java.util.Scanner; public class sepia{ public static void main(String [] args){
I was wondering if there was a way to check/view messages from my phone. I'm trying to create a program that will be able either read messages from my phone, or reply to them. I'm trying to get this to work for a Window Phone, but I don't know if there is a difference between doing it on a Windows Phone or Android. Most of the topics that somewhat relate to what I'm doing are all Android based.
I've looked at AT Commands, SMS Gateways, but I'm still not sure if it's entirely possible.
I am trying to validate the phone number with a method called isValidAddress and whenever it gets to that line of code in the while loop I get a lot of red line java exceptions. I am referring to lines 130-138
I had to write a program for class using the method definition "public static char getNumber(char upperCaseLetter)" It compiles and runs but wont print out my final answer.
import java.util.Scanner; public class Phone_0104730303 { public static char getNumber(char upperCaseLetter) { char return_val = 0;
I need a phonebook that allows the user to input up to 100 numbers but stop when they want to. I have the code for the array and input and output. I thought I had the do...while loop correct for asking the user if they want to input another name but its not working, even when you input "N" it still keeps going. Here's my code.
import java.util.Scanner; import java.util.ArrayList; public class PhoneEntry2 { int x; char repeat; final int maxContacts = 100; String[] pNums = new String[100];
