I have to create 3 JLabel for Option, Square and Direction. Well, I did but its not in the right place. It should be in the right Panel but i did change the code so its in panelRight1 but its still not changing? Its somehow not working and no matter how i try to change the position of it, it doesnt change at all.
import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; public class CBallMaze extends JFrame implements ActionListener { /** * */ private JMenu[] menu = {
My program compiles and runs ok how ever when i open my Jinternal frame and click on one of the JLabels i get a error on the Cmd ther error reads as follows
Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullPointerException at JLabelAssignment.mouseClicked(JLabelAssignment.jav a:429) at java.awt.Component.processMouseEvent(Component.jav a:6508) at javax.swing.JComponent.processMouseEvent(JComponen t.java:3320)
I am taking the Class Algorithms and Datastructures and got an assignment for Lab that really throws me off. The goal is to create an Array out of a given CSV file, implement several Methods that get the size of array, etc.
I am still stuck in the first part where the CSV has to be imported into the Array. My problem is that I need a mechanism that figures out the needed size for the Array, creates the array, and only then transfers the data from the CSV.
The list consists of the following wifi related values:
MAC-Adress, SSID, Timestamp, Signalstrength.
These are on the list, separated by comma. The Columns are each of these, and the rows are the four types of values making up the information on a certain wifi network.
The catch is, we are not allowed to use any of the following:
java.util.ArrayList java.util.Arrays and any class out of java.util.Collection.
So far I used the BufferedReader to read in the file and tried to implement the array, but I get an arrayindexoutofboundsexception.
Below is my Code (Its still an active construction zone):
public class WhatsThere { public WhatsThere(String wifiscan) throws IOException { } public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException { // WhatsThere Liste = new WhatsThere(String wifiscan); String[][] arrayListe = new String[0][0];
I am writing a program which writes down all possible equation y=a+b+c values from min to max (in reality this equation would more difficult, but here is just short example).
The problem is that my sorting code can't get access to full array in loop.
Is there any way to pass array to sorting code, or somehow change sorting code?
package pkg06; public class Main { public static void main(String[] args) { double aS =-1; double aE = 3;
I need to create a method that returns a new array containing the componentwise sum of its arguments(if length is the same). For instance, if the input arrays are {0,1, 2} and {2, 2, 3} then the output is {0+2, 1+2, 2+3}, i.e. {2,3,5}.If the input arrays have different numbers of elements, the method should return null.
I came with something like this, however i dont know how to make a copy of an array from two arrays. My code obviously wont compile. package whatever;
import java.util.Arrays; public class hhhh { public static void main(String[] args) { double [] a = {1,2,3}; double [] b = {2,3,4};
Create a java application that contains an array of 10 multiple-choice questions related to you favorite hobby. each question contains three answer choices. also create a parallel array that holds the correct answer to each question - A,B, or C. display each question and verify that the users enters only A,B, or C as the answere - if not, keep prompting the user until a valid response in entered. If the user responds to a question correctly, display "Correct!"; otherwise, display the correct answer is and the letter to the correct answer. After the user answer all the question, display the number of correct and incorrect answers.
In my programming class we need to create a large test array of Longs to iteratively sum/reverse the array and recursively sum/reverse the array.creating the array and where to go from there.
public class SavingsAccount extends Account { private static final double MIN_BALANCE = 100.00; private static final double RATE = 0.035; public SavingsAccount(Customer customer, double bal, String accountNum, Transaction[] trans) { super(customer, bal, accountNum, trans);
[code]....
When I execute this code there is an error in Transaction array initialization. Change the Saving account constructor from (String customer,double balance, String accountnumber,Transaction[] tr) to (String customer,double balance, String accountnumber,Transaction tr)
I am trying to create an empty array that has no assigned length as the amount of elements it needs to hold will be dependent on another value. I then want to use a while loop to assign values to it. Here is an example of what im looking for it doesnt work. Iam trying to do:
int x = 12; int i = 1; int k = 0; int[] factors = {} while (i<x) { if (x%i==0) { factors[k] = i; k++; i++;
I'm really new to object/class concepts and already having difficulties with applying them. How to create and return an array of Exam objects? I need to get a data from a textfile which is passed to the method.
Java Code:
public Exam(String firstName, String lastName, int ID, String examType, int score) { this.firstName = firstName; this.lastName = lastName; this.ID = ID; this.examType = examType; this.score = score;

Write a program that prompts the user for information about some countries, creates an object for each country, and then stores the objects in an array. After the user has entered information about all the countries, your program should print out which countries in the list have the smallest and largest area and population density. Assume the user will enter information about at least one country but that the program will not have to store more than ten countries in the array. The user will indicate that they are done entering countries by typing "DONE" for a country name. Here is an example of what your program must look like when it is executed (user input is shown bold)
Please enter the name of a country: United States Enter the area in square km and population of United States: 9827000 310000000 Please enter the name of a country: Mexico Enter the area in square km and population of Mexico: 1973000 122300000 Please enter the name of a country: Canada Enter the area in square km and population of Canada: 9985000 35160000 Please enter the name of a country: Liberia Enter the area in square km and population of Liberia: 111370 4294000 Please enter the name of a country: DONE
Liberia has the smallest area at 111370 square km. Canada has the largest area at 9985000 square km. Canada has the smallest population density at 3.521282 people per square km. Mexico has the largest population density at 61.986822 people per square km.
I don't know, I'm really confused with this Java program. I don't know how to do the main part of the program where the user inputs, array, and the output.
// Access the Scanner and ArrayList class by importing the java.util package. import java.util.Scanner;
/** Project - A Country Object * The purpose of this program is for the user to enter some information at most 10 countries. After the user has entered information about all the countries, the program should print out which countries in the list have the smallest and largest area and population density. */
public class Country { private String countryName; private int theArea; private int thePopulation; public Country(String countryName, int thePopulation, int theArea)
how to translate it into Java language due to lack of experience (2 weeks). My solution I've formed in my head is: create a new array for the numbers that are in improvement and then declare a "max" variable. Check which array's length is higher and print that length. What I don't know to do is: I don't know how to create a new array for each numbers that are passing through the condition.
Note: I couldn't find anything on internet about my problem so that's why I'm here.
My code is this one:
class MyClass { static int progresie=0; public static void longest_improvement(Integer[] grades) { for(int i=0;i<grades.length-1;i++){ if(grades[i]<=grades[i+1]){ progresie ++; } } System.out.println(progresie); } }
I have an arraylist, list, that I need to take the size to declare an array, arr3, in another class. Problem 1: the size is giving me an error of "can not make static reference to non-static method getListSize() from the type FindItemInfo". I tried to change getListSize() to static and it gives me and error another place. I try to then fix that, and I get a new error... and so on.
I am using arr3 to store items the user can not afford. I have this next problem even when I input an integer for the arr3 size. I am getting a NullPointerException, and I can't figure out why the arr3[] is not loading. I tried debugging but can not figure out where I went wrong, especially since this code was working in the last assignment before I changed list[] to an arrayList. It always breaks at line 64, but I believe it has to be somewhere in the cashOut() method.
Relevant code is:
public class FindItemInfo implements InterfacePrint{ ArrayList <ItemAttribute> list = new ArrayList<ItemAttribute>(); //does stuff public void printPriority(){ TransactionCalc finish = new TransactionCalc();
I am trying to print out all of the values of an array and the average. I am getting part of the printout but I am also getting an array out of bound error message. what I am doing wrong?
int [][] points = new int [2] [3]; points [0][0]= 3; points [0][1]= 2; points [0][2]= 4; points [1][0]= 2; points [1][1]= 2; points [1][2]= 2; int totalPoints = 0; int totalShots = 0;
I am getting these errors with this code, I can not figure why this error is occuring.
what is the issue with this code?
Java Code: package ABC; import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Scanner; public class GetInputFromUser { private ArrayList<String> name = new ArrayList<String>();
I have been working on this program for a while and now i seem to be stump it throws an outof Bound array exception error, this program is a matrix multiplication program and spits out the resulting matrix using multithreading. i have a running one and result is
2 -1 0 1 0 3 -1 1 3
but this program's result is:
2 0 0 1 0 0 -1 0 0
it reads a txt document as an commandline arguement the text file reads just like this below:
3 2 2 3 1 0 0 1 -1 1 2 -1 0 1 0 3
the following is my code:
import java.util.*; import java.io.*; public class P3 { public static int matrix1[][]; public static int matrix2[][];
Ok, so the program we are supposed to do is to create implement a employee class then create a main tester class that can accept user inputs for 5 employee names, salaries, and performance rating. After that, we have to input code to calculate a provided raise amount, then print out the array with the updated raises. I have completed the program with no syntax errors, but it doesn't do anything. not even a screen comes up on my end to accept user inputs. I know its something basic, but what am i missing
Employee class public class Employee { private String employeeName; private int salary; private int performanceRating;
