Attendance Form - Need To Auto Update Names And Dates

I'm trying to create an attendance form for my school. I have an Attendance Form already that has the following information:
Student Name
Date of Attendance
Attendance Code
What I would like it to do is, automatically populate the date for all the students enrolled in the class. So if the Math class has 5 students, the form would automatically have all five students with March 28, 2006 and the next day have March 29, 2006 and so forth.
Any suggestions on how to go about achieving this task?
I am trying to create a database for a clinic, and am severely stuck on how to input appointment dates for individual patients.
I have been using the 'student' database from office.com as a template for how to save the dates (given that appointments and attendance are exactly the same!), however, even after following what has been set up in the 'student' template database, I can't seem to replicate it.
Every time I add multiple visit dates for a specific patient, these exact dates show up for every other patient in the database. I need to be able to add different dates for all the different patients.
I have a table called Attendance were information about the Student and the class they are attending is collected.
Another table called Student, this hold information about the student. I am using a Form called Attendance to input my information. What I am trying to achieve is:
BeforeUpdate on a text box:
When you input Student_ID it looks at the Student Table to see if the Student ID is valid before the information is updated to the Attendance Table.
I have a form I need to enter basic info into, and would like to know Iif there is a way based on the primary key id when I enter info on an individual's account, the rest of the info will get updated, i.e. contact info, full name, etc.?

I have a database with a Source Table related to a Product table in a Master/Child relationship. The source table has a SourceID field as the primary key and a SourceName field. The Product table has a SourceID field as a foreign key and is related in a many to one relationship to the Source table (the source table is the one and the Product table is the many). I have a form used to update the Product table. The form includes Combo Box controls for both the SourceName field (which fills in a Source field in the Source field in the Product table) from the Source table and the SourceID field from the Source table (which fills in the SourceID field in the Product table). I need to know how to automatically fill in the SourceID control based on the selection made in the SourceName control. I would also like to know how to automatically open a form to update the Source table if I enter a SourceName in the Product.SourceName Combo Box that isn't already in the Source table.

I have a form bound to a table that has a bunch of dates in it. What I want to do, is to be able to have pop-up calendars on the form next to each date field, where the user can select dates from the calendar, then have those dates display on the form, and last but not least, update the date fields in the table.
At the moment, the form I'm working with let's me pick dates from little pop-ups and display the dates, but when I exit the form and then come back into it, the dates are gone! In other words, I'm missing something in the process between the dates displaying onthe form and the dates getting into my table.
If anyone has an idea as to what I might be doing wrong, I wouldappreciate your ideas and suggestions.

I work in University accommodation housing 3000 students and we conduct meetings with the residents when they are to be disciplined.. for various things such as smoking in their room, poor conduct, or cause they've broken a window decided playing football in the kitchen using a window as a goal.
They can then be given a fine or community service or a warning.
I've created a database that logs a these meetings and it works fine when one person is called in, it logs the individual (Name, ID Number, Accommodation, Flat & Room No) and I can transfer the details to a new community service record or fine record and it all links to the auto generate ID number (known as the Case Number).
Though in cases where there is more than one person involved and each are given their own "discipline" I haven't got the knowledge to know how to keep it linked to the same 'Case Number'.
Can I create a case, add more than one person to the meeting record who will be present?
Then following that meeting for example Alan gets 10 hours community service, John gets a £40 fine, and Dave gets a £40 fine and 5 hours community service? Though all 3 are still linked to the same case number from the initial meeting?
I have a form with several data fields on it. I also have a button on the form that allows the user to duplicate a record . The reason for this duplication is so that if there will be an additional client record for the same customer, but only one piece of data will need to be changed, it's easier to copy the record and then change the one field.
However, I am getting the following message:
"some of the field names you tried to paste don't match fieldnames on the form"
and then not all data in all fields gets duplicated.
I need to figure this out, but am going nuts with it. If anyone has an idea or two they'd care to toss my way, I would be happy.
I am trying to automatically update one table to another each time a new record is added to my form, I have tried using the Update and the Append Query is there another way to do this without using code?
I am trying to make a class attendance form, where user chooses classType ex:"English, French" then the program shows all of the students from tblStudents that are enregistered in that class. And some how make it so that user could select on or many users in the same class and press add button which will add the students into attendance table for the current class and the current day,
**Allso what I would like to do if possible after the form above works, is to if the student has been allready added for the current day, the check box becomes un editable with appropriable comment in the comments line for that student or for examples the student registered for 12 classes, the attendance keeps track of the classes and when the student tryed to go to 13'th class the check box is uneditable and in the comments line for that student metions the reases.

I would like to have data auto-inserted from a particular colum in table 'x' in to a defined column in table 'y'. similary, I'd like to achieve auto-updation of this data as well as deletion. Can anyone please provide some guidelines?
A little more detail :
I have a column "Client ID" in the table client_personal_info, the rows of which I'd like to have updated in the "Client ID" column in the client_business_detail table.
So if say, ClientID_1 is a row that has been added by the user, I'd like to have it auto-inserted in the client ID column in the client_business_detail table
I've got an attendance form set up with check boxes for each day I want to check attendance. I have two problems with this form.
1) All the boxes start out with little squares (I want them to be blank) 2) If I try checking a box for one person, it checks all the boxes in the column (same with unchecking).
I am trying to make a database for my employees to count their attendance according to the days of the month and then get their salary. How to create a form that show the days of the month and then i can add the names of the attending employees.
On my form, we can enter time off for employees. This is working pretty well, but we have some employees that have flex days every other week or even once a month.
What I would like to make possible on my form, when the user is inputing the data, He makes the initial entry, and then he has an option (checkbox?) that they can select to make this same entry every (week, other week, or 1 month from the date). Have it repeat for a year out maybe, so if the user has every other friday off. It will make an entry for every other friday for the next year.
I've been searching the forum, and I've been reading on the dateadd function. But I'm not sure how to implement it on this form, not sure if there is a way to make it repeat for a year? Also not sure if it's possible (or if that's the best choice) to have checkbox for choices using it?
I have a table with a few fields, which include a field called StartDate and a field called EndDate. From the table I plan on finding the Min StartDate and the Max EndDate, is it possible, to make a table from these 2 sets of data and have the fields in between be auto populated in increments of a month?
For example. (Dates in dd/mm/yyyy format) StartDate=1/1/2014 and Max EndDate=1/12/2014
So the table should show: 1/1/2014 1/2/2014 1/3/2014 1/4/2014 1/5/2014 1/6/2014 1/7/2014 1/8/2014 1/9/2014 1/10/2014 1/11/2014 1/12/2014
Any way to send auto alert without opening Ms. Access program.
I have created a program which requires to send auto alert on certain dates. Due to some travel plans manager might not be able to open the program every day (might not open the program on certain dates where I set the alerts) and the chances are he will miss those alerts if he won't open the program.
I am hoping to create a field name in a query that will change every month. Right now the filed name is qryTechQuintileMonth-7.am_quintile. this designates that the data is for October 2012. There are 6 other fields named similarly for Nov 2012 through April 2013.
Is there a way to name these fields with the proper month-year (mmm-yy) so they automatically update each month?
If am a developing the db and just making alterations to forms and reports etc on a developing copy. Is there anyway i can auto pull and replace the ones in the live db rather than going into the live db, deleting all the forms etc and then importing it?? can it be scripted or somethign like that?
Hi...Im working with this database..its an order tracking database.. everytime we received the shipments we have to update the rcvd items.. i have an attachment here... pls i really need help...
How could i do these automated:
1: if i update the Rcvd status (Y/N) "Y" ...how could i make the Date Rcvd automated.. coz what happens is that.. i have to put date in each items that we rcvd and its a waste of time.. what if.. i have lots of rcvd items..
2. how could i put row count.. so i could know how many items i have and on what row are they...
Could someone please shed some light on any methods on a way to update fields automatically in different tables but with the same field name when data is entered into one of the fields in any table?
I am building this little project for work, and came up with this problem. It's basically a database of the works in the workshop. Each car comes in, the service advisor adds a new job in to the database. And at the other end of the workshop, ppl can see it on the screen.
What I have managed to do now is that if someone modified any details of the existing jobs, it will be automatically updated on the other computer.
(ie, computer 2 has a form opened and showing all the current records in a continuous form view, computer 1 modified 1 record, then a couple seconds later, the form will update itself with the new data on computer 2)
The problem now is, if computer 1 ADDs a new record, it will not show up/auto update on computer 2's form, until I close the form and reopen it again.
Now I have no knowledge in VB and have no idea on how it work together with Access. I do however has some skills in other programming language like Java and C, so learning shouldn't be a problem if that has to be done through VB.
i have a complete access database with forms and queries and reports.
the only problem i am facing is that when i create a new report it only takes the data already entered.
if i modify or change a record in the form or table the report doesn't update the modifed data it stays as it is before and i have to re-create a new report.
is there any way to deal with this and make the same report auto refresh the data modified or no ?
I have added this to my database but dont see how it would be used. I have a shortcut people use to access the database which ties in my workgroup file infomation so that they can open it.
Now when I send the MDE file to people they get the "dont have permission" typical response.
Now if people are goin to use the shortcut to the either my .mdb or .mde then couldnt I just make adjustments to those and then replace the file on the shared network?
Am I missing something or not seeing how this would be useful or needed?
