Ok, not sure if this is even possible or where to even start..
I've got a form that has all the info for a client, eg..
Client First Name
Client Last Name
Client Hours
Client WE/CS/EE
Client Day And Times
Client Phone
Client Comments
Begin Date & End Date (2 boxs) on there for date input..
and what i'm trying to do is limit that any date entered between begin date and end date, it'll check and make sure there is only ever 20 clients on any 1 day..
i thought Datediff would be the way to go, but then again how do you get it to search each day and make sure theres only 20 clients on there..
I have a form with a chart , 2 textboxes for start date and end date and a button to filter the data( filter the data by date range) How do i continue from that? The chart isnt updating.
I am trying to make a query that finds all records by the "Month Number" and have problems.
What I did: Month(DateField) I got month numbers like I wanted but when I typed in the criteria below, I got February thru December Records, but when I search on anything "up to" 9 it works fine.
I want: Between{month1] and [month2] Month1= 9 (example) Month2= 12 (example) Need results to be from the requested months but any year
I have to imagine it's how the date is converted to an integer, but not sure.
When using the Format:'yyyy mm dd' in access queries. When trying to show a week is there a way to show the date range instead of week number.
Week 01 = Jan1-7. If the results are only week numbers that makes it hard for people to understand when it actually is. Bottom line is: I would like to convert Week number to actual date range. Can anyone help with this?
Code: ' count records in query Dim rs As DAO.Recordset Dim db As Database Dim strSQL As String Dim beginDatum As String Dim eindDatum As String Set db = CurrentDb
I am looking for a way to limit the number of rows that are added to the subform of a main form. Is there anyway that the allowable number of rows be defined using a field on the main form.
I am new to Access and I am developing a form. I have already read and found useful resources on internet but there is something I am not able to sort out.I have seen that the limit of fields I can enter in Access is 255 and my survey is far below that number. So no issue at all when I created the fields in Data view. However, the issues started when I created a form.
I created a form by Create>Form. The last few fields, at the very bottom of the form, are squeezed onto each other as if there was not any space available. Is there a limit to the number of fields I can have in a form? There should not be if I am allowed to enter up to 255 fields. How can I go about it? Should I alternatively create 2 forms? I would rather not to though.
Is it possible (without using VB) to limit the number of selections a user can make in a multiple value list?
My list is one a form and when in the form field it brings up a total of 15 names with checkboxes, allowing you to "check" each name you want. However, I want to be able to have as many names as I need in the list, but limit the user to selecting only two of them.
I have a database that has transactions since year 2009. I want the users to only be able to view and edit transactions that were entered in the last 6 days. I was initially able to do this by putting a filter in the Property Sheet section of the form and choosing Yes for Filter on Load.
However, a user was able to discover that by clicking on Clear All Filters, the filter I set was also cleared, thus making them see all the transactions beginning year 2009.
My problem is the following: when I receive say 5 computers in a purchase form, I want to register the serial number of each of them in another form, bound to another table. If I receive 2 units in the purchase form, my user should only be able to input 2 records in the serial form (a continuous form), if we receive 3, then only 3 records,I cannot quite figure out how to build this second (serial number registration form), so that it refuses input after the correct number has been reached.
I have a form I created in the past that auto-fills some of its fields based on the user's selection of a record from a combo box linked to another table. The form has been working perfectly however I recently tried to add a couple of more fields to the form that need to be autofilled. I added the new fields to the source table and added columns to the combobox that should allow my VB code to fill those boxes. However only one of the new fields is filling correctly. After trying a few different things I notice that the problem seems to be with whatever data field becomes the 21st column in the combobox. Is there some sort of limit on the number of columns contained in the data source for such a box?
Ok let me explainI have a list of 50 people who may have accessed events A,B,C at different times but what I want to do is to put a date in my form, run the quaery which will list all people who have Attended A,B or CWhen I do my normal query, I put the fields in, but if I put a date filter in Event A, it will not show up any person who may have attended event B but not Event A.I thought about running an append query but this would mean running the data several times with possible duplication of client names.Ideally I would like to have my report to showDate: 31/07/2006Name A B CK.Brown Y YJ Blogg Y YK Smith YK Ellum Y Ythen I can just use a count at the bottom :)The methods I have tired will filter event date A, but will not show J BloggIf I create another append for Event B, and append that data to a table, then I will have duplicaion of K Brown.. Any Help Appreciated.Last thing - when I run the append queriy and get my duplications, the fields where I had a Y/N option - if it was YES then I get a -1 instead of 1 ??? Why? and how do I make sure that when appending that the Y answer is a 1 not a -1
I have a database with a list of clients, their enter and exit dates. I need to do a query that will count how many clients we have on a specific date. Keeping in mind that clients leave. I can do a query that will prompt user to enter a date. However, how would I count the total number of clients on that date? thanks a lot for any help!
I have built a search form based on a bound to a query where I have Like criterias to search data by Departments, Groups, Names etc..For e.g to search by Surname - I have --
Like "*" & [forms]![frm_Search]![Surname] & "*"
This works great and returns Surname data that looks like what is entered in the text box on forms. Now I want to do similar thing in order to search data between 2 dates plus if I leave Date form text box blank it should return all data. Its 2010 therefore using date picker in 2 text boxes (Start Date and End Date)
I'm working on a database at the moment with a fairly large dataset. I've used "between" functions and created date range boxes to filter query's to specific date ranges which has worked perfectly for queries. Is it possible to have something similar with forms?
The reason i needed to move away from query results onto forms is the ability to have an on click event to goto individual record which wasn't possible from the query results. I moved my query's across to forms which worked well except for the loss of selectable date ranges.
I have a form with a subform which searches the database using multiple criteria using Text Boxes and a search button. One of which is a date range which is entered into 2 text boxes(SDTxt and EDTxt). At first glance the code works. If I enter 03/05/2015 in SDText and say 24/05/2015 in EDTxt and hit the search button(SearchBtn) the correct records are shown in the subform (Office Subform). But if I enter 05/06/2015 in SDTxt and 13/06/2015 into EDTxt not only does it show the records between the 2 dates but also all records from May. I have put on a cut down version of the code which just shows the date range search.
Code: Private Sub SearchBtn_Click() Dim strWhere As Strin If IsDate(.SDTxt.Value) And IsDate(.EDTxt.Value) Then strWhere = strWhere & _
I would like to have a text box display the number of records for a selected title that fall within a selected date range. Been looking around for a while and have this so far;
=DCount("Discussion_Title","Discussions","[Discussion_Title]='" & [cboType] & "' And [Discussion_Date] = Between ([txtStartDate] And [txtEndDate])'")
I get an #Error message. I just threw that together because it describes what I want, but I know there are syntax problems.
I have a form [ReportForm] with two unbound text boxes to select a date range.
[BeginOrderDate] & [EndOrderDate]
These two boxes look up a query with the following expression:
between Forms![ReportForm]![BeginOrderDate] and Forms![ReportForm]![EndOrderDate]
However in my query I have several other columns with dates [InterimOrderDate] & [PostOrderDate].
How to modify the expression above to look up these dates as well so that when typing in a date range in the form the query will return records where the date range filters records for
I am trying to calculate the working days Based on all web searches I am unable to find the specific scenario I am working in Auto industry, which means auto industry usually close twice a year for any reasons, let say in July for one or sometime two weeks and in December depends upon the Christmas date usually from December 20 till Jan 01
Now my question is when i am enter the holiday details in table do I have to enter line by line date e.g. july 01, 02, 03 (I am able to understand, how this works but still not yet tried) OR july 01 to July 07 (which make sense, but unable to find how to use date range to calculate working days)...
I have a table that has entries recorded with date and time in one field, and I want to have a query that returns all records of a specified date or date range, regardless of the time in the field.
I have tried
Code: Between [StartDate:] And [EndDate:]
And
Code: Between [StartDate:] & "00:00" And [EndDate:] & "23:59"
I have searched for an answer to this question a lot, but I could not find it. I hope anyone can help me with the following:
I need to do a database in MS Access; however, there is so much information and some of it is not related. After normalising it, it looks like I need a number of tables. Is there a limit to how many tables you can have on Access? And how many tables is the recommended size?
Is there a limit on the number of records you can have in an access database? I've got one with 8500 records and it's been a PITA! I have a webpage on our intranet so users can go and enter their information to it, and they get a nasty error whenever they try to enter information. I'm trying to figure out why and i was just wondering... i know it's not the webpage because when i connect it to my test database it works fine? so i dunno
Hi All. Is it possible to limit the number of records in a form, to a number given in a linked form.
For Example.
tblA StreetName No_Of_Houses
tblB Name Number
I would only want the number of records in tblB to be the same as No_Of_Houses in tblA. I have seen previous threads where you can limit it to a number, but do not know where to go from there.
