I'm trying to create a checklist in my access database that can be assigned to different companies. Is there a way to maintain a blank checklist so that we don't have to recreate it every time we start working with a new company?

I have a list of customers with multiple rent start and end dates. I need to create a query where each customer will have a record for every month/year between their respective rent start and end dates. I generally use macros but can't figure out a way to do it without VBA. My field names are Rent StDt and Rent EndDt. My query name is QCalcREndDt. I use version 2010.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a simple audit trail (which I got directions online) in my Database (and have posted a copy here) but am getting an error on the second form (and this will be a subform eventually) -The Audit Trail instructions say to put four fields in my table which feeds the form - CreateBy=Text, CreateDate=Date/Time and default to =now(), ModBy=text, and ModDate=Date/Time.
Then to add code to the Current and BeforeUpdate events on the form as you will see in my forms attached. I created a test database with very little data (called AuditTrackingTest2DBLp-attached). I created the first table (tblCustomers) and then created the form (FormCustomerInput) and then I added code to this form on the Current and BeforeUpdate as I was instructed in my notes and it recorded my changes perfectly in the tblCustomers.
I then created a new table called tblCustomerOrders and then a form (FormCustomerSubOrders) based on this table and added the same code to this form and it is giving me an error message in the code Compile Error: Variable not defined.
I want to create a database that keeps track of contributions of members of an association. Every member can voluntarily give a standing order to contribute a fixed amount every month. A member can as well decide to review his/her contribute.
how I can come up with a database that can automatically add the contribution of a member monthly without manual input since the stated contribution is known. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a web database that I am trying to create a search feature for just 2 of the fields. The search is for a certain date and also a shop are the 2 fields I would like to have the search run for.
Once the search has been run I would like to generate it into a report.
I have already created the report/ form and the query. I am not sure where I need to go from here. I have created the from with the date and also a combo box for the list of the shops and then a button that says search that will go to the report. I just need it to show all the particular items that show the date and or shop. If you leave them both blank it will run a report and show everything. Then if you just put a date in it will run a report with just that date or the same with the shop.
I have been asked if I can add a priority list to my database and I am trying to figure out how to do it.
The database already exists and this would be added code/forms. Basically this database has a number of users, all identified by a login name. Each of these users have several projects assigned to them. The projects are identified by a unique project number.
What I need to do is to be able to list all the projects that a user has, which is easy to do by simply creating a query, but then the user needs to be able to type in a priority number (1 to infinity) for each of these projects with no number repetitions. If a project priority is updated, say from 6 to 2, then the projects that had priorities 2 to 5, get a +1 added to their priority number so they go 3 to 6. Likewise if a project gets "demoted" (priority is lowered) then the ones below go up one.
When distributing a program using 2010 runtime, I find that the spell check doesn't work. Is there a spell-check .dll or is there anyway I can get a spell checker?I have several memo fields with long report-type data entry which is being keyed by mutants. Spell checking is essential to get an intelligible report.

Can this be done in ACCESS or by using ASP?

sorry for the long post but trying to give you all the information you might need.
I wrote a basic access database for my Church to aid in a paperwork audit for a charity food drop which we do monthly to give free food to the needy.
But each month it gets harder to find out who was in line first so I thought with all your help we may be able to randomize the names each month in a different order as to avoid confusion and also avoid people waiting in line as they turn up at 5am and we don't start until 9am.
So if this will work in access they can all come for 9am
I don't mind creating a new database and adding the additional information, if that's what it would take.
My Background I have created basic databases from scratch not using wizards, But I don't know much about code or how to implement it so any help in where code goes it would be very much appreciated.

If possible it would be nice to keep a record of the randomized lists (in the database somewhere ?) each month in case anyone wants to see it or disputes the lists, where I can just create a report to show the details.
There will be approximately 90 to 125 names.

What am I doing wrong ??? The code here is probably the MySql correct code (Access uses different data types / field names ???) Hope somebody can help me out, because I can't find the correct data types anywhere ! (like use TEXT instead of VARCHAR, that's all I know...)
