General :: Hidden Access Shell / Runtime And Print Preview Custom Ribbon

I have created an application. It has a split front end and back end. I plan to distribute the runtime version. I have used code throughout that "hides" the microsoft access shell for popup (modal) windows. In every form & report I have a function to show or hide the access window. Everything works great until I get to my reports. I open reports in print preview. I created a custom table (USysRibbons) and added a Reports print preview ribbon & xml. I assigned that ribbon to my report(s), and I assigned it in options as the default ribbon. If I test the ribbon (by working in the database using "shift" open) I see my ribbon. But, in when I open app without shift or or if I emulate runtime, I can't get the ribbon.
I have multiple popups forms, several non popup forms and a couple of reports.I just want to keep all the access background stuff hidden - except for needing the ability to print.
When I have the Home and Create default ribbons showing... then when I choose to Preview a report the Print Preview Ribbon is displayed and the Home and Create Ribbons are hidden or not visible.I have created a CustomRibbon and this CustomRibbon is not hidden when I choose to preview a report. The Print Preview ribbon is shown but the CustomRibbon keeps the focus and is not hidden.I would like for the CustomRibbon to not be visible.
I have report that i have in preview. In that report i have ribbon that has buttons close and print. Close works fine, with print it goes ok but when "printer selection" comes, i try to change printer it informs that not enough memory. All this code that is in ribbon buttons is in VBA.
What could be the reason for memory stuff or how could this be made that this inform wouldn't come.

I've seen this question asked in multiple places but do not understand the answers (yet). I haven't worked with the ribbon and XML before.
I'm able to turn off the navigation panel and the ribbon completely which gives the user a nice, empty screen. However, when reports are selected, they open up in Print Preview but the ribbon doesn't return with the Print Preview.
In short, how do I get the Print Preview ribbon to return when generating a report?
I am using Access Runtime for the database for the staff however some reports have print options at the top of report previews and some don't and I can't figure out why..All the buttons and properties seem to be the same as the ones that are working.
I found the following getimage script but am not sure how to apply it to my button, I have seem various examples on sites but just can't get it to work. Can I somehow set the icon path like C:Image1.png

I've created a custom ribbon for my end users (Access 2010) and everything looks and works great except for one issue that is becoming a deal breaker for me and my end users:
I've got a number of tabs on my custom ribbon and on each tab there are a number of buttons that open various forms and reports. Anytime one of those forms or reports is opened and then closed, the ribbon jumps back to the first tab in my custom ribbon. So if you were on tab 3, opened a form and then closed it, you would be jumped back to tab 1.
Any workaround for what seems to be "by design" behavior for custom ribbons? The built-in ribbon does not do this.....
In Access 2010 I made a custom ribbon.The File Tab still gives users access to features that should not be available to them such as: Compact & Repair, Encrypt etc.I spent a few hours looking for a solution but found none that works.It does not seem to be possible to hide the File Tab, but is there a way to hide the options it reveals?
But what I need is that before printing, open the preview to set the margins and page size ... or at least to pre-configure so that when you press the button, and comes preformatted.
I have a report with quite a few subreports in it. There are a number of calculated fields on the form, most of which use Dlookup to retrieve at least one of the figures required for the calculation. The Dlookup runs fine and the report opens but the calculated fields are devoid of data in Report view. When I switch to Print Preview view the fields are now populated. Below are two variations of the DLookup syntax I have used to try and alleviate this issue.

Note that the field [8] specified here is simply a month number and forms a column in the crosstab query for the corresponding query name.
I would add the query referred to in the DLookup to the source query for the report but the source report's data is derived from a Crosstab query, which only accepts one data field (Access terms this as the value field.
I have a Lost/Found property database which we use to keep record of the lost/found property and it is working fine.
As per our organization's policy, we keep the item(s) for up to three months in which if it gets restored to the owner then fair enough otherwise after three months the item(s) can be claimed by the "Finder". But for this very purpose we issue the Finder with a "Claim Receipt" which he/she should bring in when claiming for the item(s) after three months period. Therefore, It's just the right time to upgrade the database to a more professional level.
The database has one table and two forms.
One form (LostFoundForm) is visible to the user in which they enter data, this form has two sections; Item(s) & Finder's details and the second section is about Restoring details.
However the second form (ClaimReceiptForm) is hidden to the users (for manual data entry) and has only one section which is exactly the same as the first form's first section, i.e., Item(s) & Finder's details. This second form takes the data automatically from the first form because the table behind them is same and fields are same (please see attachment). Up to here it's all working fine.
I would like to introduce a Checkbox or a CommandButton in the LostFoundForm which when we click should pull up a msgbox asking "Do you want to print the receipt for this item(s)?" with a Yes/No option. On clicking "No" it should, obviously, settle down but on clicking "Yes" it should print the "corresponding record" from the ClaimReceiptForm.
In Access 2007.I have a Main Form with (1) subforms that have a differenet .RibbonName set. When switching focus to the subforms, the Ribbon Tab for the Main Form stays active and the subform's Ribbon is not activated. I have put the ribbons assigned to the subforms on a main form, and they activate as expected. This is a major issue to which I can find nothing on the web!If i open subform directly, ribbon functioning fine

I have an unbound form with an associated report. When the user hits the 'print' button on the form/screen, the report is launched in the background. In the On Load event of the report I populate the report fields from the forms field as so:
This works like a charm as long as I call the report in Print Preview mode (i.e. with acViewPreview). But if I send the report directly to the printer, none of the fields print.
I've read about using other report events to populate the fields (e.g., On Format and On Print) and also something about using TempVars to pass the data. But I haven't read anything that's clear and definitive about the full answer.
I am new to access. I have an application which has a custom tool bar. I tried to find the corresponding code for the custom tool bar by using the name of the tool bar. But was unsuccessful.
I want ot find the corresponding code for it. Where can I find the custom tool bar code in the VBA code of the applcaition?Actually, I want to add macros, queries and forms as a dirsct short cut in the existing custom tool bar.How to add macros and queries to the existing tool bar??
I am upgrading an Access 2000 system to 2007 and replacing user toolbars with Ribbons.I have a strange parsing error that I think is not my error.
I have placed the following control into a group:

t turns out that it is finding the word Group within the double quotes and interpretting is at part of the XML syntax.
Change to another idMSO and the problem goes away. Same happened with another control that had the word Group in the id.
I have a report based on a form and when I view the report in print preview, part of it has been truncated. I have attached a screenshot of it. Is there a better way for me to print the form other than as a report? If not, how do I show the entire report without leaving out any part of it?
I'm posting this question to Forms forum because I'm sure I can't do this with a report--though a report is really what I need to be using.
My database has buttons on the forms to preview a "page printout" report based on the data in the record displayed. The reports - formatted to closely resemble printed questionnaires provided by the client - are based on queries, run with criteria conditions to match the record on the screen. So, to run the report, you have to have queriable data -- i.e. the data shown in the form has to have been saved to table. So the print preview buttons include a Save command.
The client would like to be able to view the printout of a potential new (or changed) record without saving. (There is an audit trail that tracks changes and deletions once a record has been saved.) The only way I can think of that this might be done would be to print directly off of the form--which would produce un-pretty results at best, I'm afraid, and seems like a headache to set up. But would it even work? Using the file menu to preview printout of a form seems to save the record.
So, my questions: 1. Is there something I'm missing such that I could run the reports without saving the data? 2. If I DID print out the form instead of the report, can even THAT be done without saving the record? (They would only need to preview without saving, not actually print.)
I've created a simple listbox on a report in MS Access 2010 so that there are two options A or B. Default is option A and I am able to change that to option B when in Report View, but if I switch to Print Preview, the report is refreshed and value defaults back to A.I have done something similar with a check box connected to VBA, still wondering how to use a list box to print optional values.
When the report print preview shows up, the entire print preview bar is visible but greyed out, so nothing can be selected. When the user clicks on the report to zoom in, then the buttons become available and the user can print. At that point the user selects the printer and prints the document.They all share a networked back end and a locally installed front end (same version for everyone)
I am getting two different results when I preview or print a report. When I preview a report the report title and page title are populated with the strings I built and assigned to global variables. In the report load event the GVs are assigned to the text boxes. Everything works great. If I hit the print icon while previewing the report, those text boxes are populated with the right strings. The problem is I have the option to send the report directly to the printer without previewing it, using the code below.
When this is executed, the report title and page title text boxes are blank. I have put a debug.print (the 3 GVs) in the load event and it spits out the three strings, but the actual printout has no titles. The bound data always prints, but these unbound text boxes fail. I have even copied the string assignment to the open event and that did not work.
I have the following code in the On Format Event of the report. It is used to hide duplicates which result from very loose Where parameters when I run Docmd.OpenReport. With tighter Where parameters there are no Duplicates.
I am aware that the On Format event does not fire and I am to use the On Paint event. However, the On Paint Event seems very limited. It does not have a Cancel and most code that i tried does not work.

I have a report with several forms, these are all graphs.
In order to fit them all on one report, I need them to be able to grow.
This works fine in Report View, they grow as expected, however when exporting to PDF, printing or print preview, they do not grow. I set them all to Yes for Can Grow and it displays correctly in Report View.
