General :: How To Convert Meters Into Feet And Vice Versa
May 3, 2015
A bit of a longshot me thinks! But anyway... can you make a measurement converter on Access 2013. I would like to be able to convert meters into feet and feet into meters!
I am trying to create a medical records inventory. We have physical charts which each have a barcode and I have a scanner. The idea is to have employees who want to check the chart out scan their barcode (on their badge), scan the chart's barcode and leave.
I have a table called tblCharts with the fields: ID (primarykey which is also the chart number), a checkbox, Employee ID, Date, and Time checked out.
I have Employee ID linked to my tblEmployees that simply has a listing of the employee ID's and first and last names. I don't care about keeping a record of who has had the chart in the past.
I just can't figure out how to tell the checkbox to be checked (to indicate the chart is out) when a number is added to the ID field (via scanner).
So here's how it would go:
Scan the chart's barcode which would populate into the ID field. Search to see if the record with the same number is already existing, if not create a record. IF it does exist, check to see if the checkbox is checked. If it is checked then the chart is being checked back in (so uncheck the box). If it is not checked to begin with (still in), then check it out and associate the employee's scanned barcode with it.
How to have the function of a splitform to a "mainform and subform"?
I have a main form "frm_main", and a subform "tbl_main" in continuous form which is linked to the table "tbl_main".
I want to be able to click on the record, then the infor will appear in textbox on the main form. I also want to be able to change the value in the textbox and on after update, it will update that record on the subform as well.
So far, in the frm_main Current, I have added the code:
Private Sub Form_Current() Form_frm_main.lblClient = Me.client_id End Sub
So now, what code should I add to the After update of the textbox to find the current selected to update back the value of the textbox to the selected record?
I have two tables Atable and BTable and both have a field called AcctNo. In Atable, it is type of Number and in BTable, it is type of Text. When I do a join with these two tables
select * from Atable, BTable where Atable.AcctNo=Btable.AcctNo
I get error saying "type mismatch".
My question here is: How can I convert a type from number to string or string to number in my sql statement?
In the attached Database (Access 2007), there are 2 tables - "Source" and "Expected_Output"
1: Table "Source" contains values CONCATENATED in a single row with concatenation string ' OR name = ' With limited knowledge in Access, i tried to perform text-column trying to see if some delimiter could be removed, it messed-up the expected output.
In the attached DB, table "Expected_Output" contains the required output.
2. DB should have the ability to: the values that we obtained in the "Expected_Output" should be converted from multiple rows to single row with concatenations as in the "Source" table Once again i tried using the ' OR name = ' in the query for concatenation and failed again.
Hi - I am writing a small form that has a calculated field. I want to convert feet and inches in length to metres, and vice versa - so user inputs 10.45 metres, and I will have two fields giving the answer (I suppose) - one with the whole numbers before the decimal place (the feet); the other taking just the numbers after the decimal and converting them from /10 to /12 for inches. Think I can work out the reverse if anyone has a nifty way of doing this - thanks very much; I'm new to this site.
I work at a college and have created a report that automatically retrieves the instructors name, class number, class name and the scores that instructor received on his evaluations. Right now the report is showing the questions of the evaluations on a row at the top with the numbers underneath, like this:
Code:Instructor Punctual Knowledgeable RespectfulBio1 3.4 3.7 2.8CH393094Chem1CL349750 2.4 3.8 3.7My boss is wanting it to look like this:Instructor Bio1 Chem1 CH089084 CH90750Punctual 3.4 3.2Knowledge 2.8 3.7Respectful 3.8 2.8
But no matter what I do I can't get it to change to that. Even though I've set up all the things to look like that I can't get it to work.
I have a (Access Data Project) ADP project which was created in Access 2003.I need to convert it into an ACCDB file with Access 2007. How to do this besides exporting each and every table, query, report etc one by one ? I was hoping there was something where I could import or export the whole thing in one go.
How can I convert a web Access file to desktop aplication? I've created it from a model from Office.com, but I need create code in vba and it don't permit.
I have small program in access database which contains about 100 cca tables, querys, forms, macros in total. Customer which both program from me, wants me to enable him to access this program not just from work, it wants to access it from home or when he is on business trip from hotel etc.
I am little confused how to achieve this and what are my options? I assume I have to set by database somewhere on server and so my customer could access it any time? Do I have to upsize access database to SQL express or similar?
Also, one more important question: is it possible to "convert" access database into HTML code or similar so it could be accessed via web browser without need to install microsoft access and with freedom that it can be opened from any type of PC OS (Linux, Mac etc)?
In a query I would like to extract the last ten years. This is what the data looks like:12/13 (Data type = text)(Short for 2012/2013 which actually represents 7/1/2012 to 6/30/2013.)
I am able to extract the "12" and turn it into the general number 2012 using: ("20" & Left([TAXYR],2))*1..But how can I convert that to the data type-date so I can include those records in the past ten years from todays date? I was trying to use DateAdd but I think the problem is the data type and where converting to date gives me "1905" or "9/##/1905." I get why it does that, but is there a workaround? Maybe adding 39,785 days?? (2014-1905)*365
I'm currently working on a project within access which will allow users to select/input information in a form which will then save to the database.
What I need is to create a button on the form which will allow you to convert the data collected from the form to a custom text file template.
(Or maybe the last row added to the database. - although this may cause errors. Example: the form information doesn't save which will in turn create a text file with the data collected from the previous job)
The custom text file template should have a sentence description followed by the value recorded from the form.
Example:
1 configuration type: (data from form)
2 model type: (data from form)
3 Poc: (data from form)
And so on.
So in summary - I would be to use the form to collect the desired information which will save to the database.
Once actioned, a custom text file should be populated with the collected information (with specific data placement as per the example above)....
I have a database that is designed with a front and back end, with the FE linked to the BE. Some potential customers want to play around with the database, and the easiest way for me to get them access to it would be for me to combine the FE and BE and just give them a copy of that. how to link a table, and I know how to import a table. What I'm unsure of is how to cleanly convert a linked table to a local table.
We have both Access 2003 and Access 97 users on our network and i have a database that is written in 97. But lately we've been getting unrecognized format when we open it. So my guess is someone out there is opening it in 2003 and converting it. Is there a way to tell the database to ONLY run on 97 and DO NOT convert to a different version?
I am running an Access Database for a large uk companys call centre.. I use many diffrent systems which allow me to show our centres productivity...
I have hit a wall
When i first developed the DB i used the time formatting hh:mm:ss but later down the line i found if you *the time by 86400 it converts the hh:mm:ss into a workable seconds format....
One of my old extracts that i feedinto the DB are in the old format therefor i do this calculation within an access query which *the time by 86400
however i have found an probelm.. if the time is over 24hrs it seems to double the time there or there abouts in seeconds
example
01/01/1900 01:42:00 which is basically 25 hrs should be around 92520 seconds
when is do this calculation in an access query it is coming out 178920 all the other times are correct so this rules out how i link 2 querys ....
