Reports :: Automate Printing From A Command Button With Selected Data From A Query?

Jul 15, 2013

How can I automate different printers for different reports on the same MS Access 2007 database, without having to select the printer each time?

There are two reports that are printed on the same database. Previously, I had automated form buttons to print the reports, without having to select the printer each time. This was about 8 years ago, but I don't remember how I did this. Also, I don't know SQL. Nothing against code, but I did not know how to program, and just MS Access 2007 access itself.

Reports :: Using Transfer Spreadsheet Command To Output Data In Query To Excel 2010 Format File

Aug 18, 2015

I'm working with Access 2010 and am trying to use the transferspreadsheet command to output data in a query to an Excel 2010 format file. Here is the line of code:

DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel12, "q_calldetails_tmp", "c: emp estoutput.xlsx"

It works fine and produces the output file but when I try and open it with Excel I get an error saying the format is incorrect. If I change the extension to .xls it opens with no problem but I need it to be an Excel 2010 format with correct extension.

Modules & VBA :: Set Up A Button To Export A Report Automatically To Excel

Aug 27, 2013

Recently I set up a button to export a report automatically to Excel using the following code: DoCmd.outputTo acOutput Report, "Report1", acFormat.xls, "J:Insurance DeptReport1.xls", True. This works great, however I was wondering 2 things:

1. How do you set up to transfer multiple reports using the same button. EG I have reports named Report2, Report3, etc how do I add these to the code to export as well?
2. Is it possible to have them transfer to the one file but different sheets. EG Report1 would go to sheet1, Report2 to sheet 2, report3 to sheet 3 and so on?

Export To Excel Button Is Always Disabled (Access 2007)

Mar 12, 2012

I notice that, no matter the context, the shortcut menu button to export to Excel is always disabled. The Export drop down button is enabled, but it only shows PDF and XPS as target formats. However there is no problem in exporting to Excel from tables, queries or even reports using the ribbon tools. I want users to be able to export selected reports to Excel but I don't want to give them full access to the ribbon. I'm using Access 2007 SP3.

Update: a further curiousity. If the database is in accdb format, I can use print preview, right-click on the preview, then select Export...>Excel and that works. But the Export option isn''t available after conversion to accde format.

Open And Excel File W/ Command Button?

Nov 3, 2006

I am trying to open a workbook with a command button on a form however the path to the file is giving me a fit. The path for the file location contains spaces and I am going blind trying to figure out how to rectify the path. Heres the line. I am sure someone here will see this problem quick! Thanks.

Private Sub Command0_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_Command0_Click

Dim stAppName As String

stAppName = "Excel.exe N:OPSCOMMONOpsResearchContact CenterDI CCL Reporting dBApps by Agent.xls"
Call Shell(stAppName, 1)

Exit_Command0_Click:
Exit Sub

Err_Command0_Click:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_Command0_Click

End Sub

Heres the mess I made out of it:
stAppName = "Excel.exe N:OPSCOMMONOpsResearchContact" & Chr(32) & "CenterDI" & Chr(32) & "CCL" & Chr(32) & "Reporting" & Chr(32) & "dBApps" & Chr(32) & "by" & Chr(32) & "Agent.xls"""

Import Data Into Table From Excel Using Command Button

May 18, 2006

I'm looking for someone to help me with a solution to my problem of importing data into a data table.
What I'd like to do is have a command button on a form. When this button is clicked the records in a table are cleared out. Then I'd like for a browse window to come up to locate an Excel file. The user would select this file and the data would be imported into the data table that was just cleared.
Can this be done without too much trouble?

Thanks, Paul

Modules & VBA :: Import Excel Document Via Command Button

Mar 4, 2014

I have managed to export the data that I want into a spreadsheet using a command button.

Once my colleagues have completed the spreadsheet, I need a command button on a form with a file search dialogue box which will allow them to transfer the spreadsheet back into the database - updating the relevant records rather that over writing them.

Is there a VB code/Macro I can use which will allow me to do this?
