I need to extract records for the last day of previous months (Up till January of the same year) from a table SALES, according to a date parameter ASOFDATE that the user enters.

I found why the April month i didn't get the $20 because the startdate of my perks CTE '2014-04-03'. If it is '2014-04-01' then i will get the expected output.
But i should not change the the date on perks. How to neglect this date issue and consider the month instead to get the expected output.
I have a table with Million plus records. Due to Running Totals article, I have been able to calculate the Trial_Balance for all months.
Now I am trying to provide a Beginning Balance for all months and the Logic is the Beginning Balance of July would be the Trial_Balance of June. I need to be able to do this for multiple account types. So the two datasets that need to be included in logic is actindx and Calendar_Month.
For actindx of 2 and Calendar_Month of 2014-01-01The Trial_Balance_Debit is 19585.46 This would make the Beginning_Balance of actindx 2 and Calendar_Month of 2014-02-01 19585.46

I have simple query that works fine if I write it every time. I want to get this one time group by each year and week ending. here us the query:
Select count(distinct ID) from table1 where year<=2015 and WeekEnding<='05/09'
Select count(distinct ID) from table1 where year<=2015 and WeekEnding<='05/16'
Select count(distinct ID) from table1 where year<=2015 and WeekEnding<='05/23'
How can I get the count for each week year and each week ending? Weekending 05/16 will include ID's from weekending 05/09 as well and week ending 05/23 will include all the ID's from 05/16 and 05/09 and so on...

I have a ssrs report which has a parameter start date.i have made 12 columns acc to client req which i cannot change:

These columns are dynamic acc to start date for which i have used this exp for first cell:
=monthname(month(Parameters!Startdate.Value),true) and for next 11 cells accordingly.
These 12 columns are grouped quaterly which i have made statically again for clien req which i cannot change so they are grouped staticaly by me in report like:
Now when i select my start date of months jan,apr,july and oct report work fine.... but when i select my start date months of feb,may,aug and nov then reportis something like: (lets say i choose feb)

Where Projects is the metric in question, TrendData is the table that contains project data and CalendateDate is the Date Table. But now I am trying to compare the same YTD projects data to number of projects that came in the last 6 months. How do our projects compare to average number of projects that came in last 6 month period.

I want to export data from SQL Server2005 to an Excel spreadsheet thru "Data Flow Task". I am using OLE DB for SQL Server for the source connection and a Connection To Excel as my destination source. The Excel spreadsheet (2003) exists and has the first row with column names. I don't have any warnings before trying to execute.
While executing the tasks, I got the error Error: 0xC0202025 at Data Flow Task, Excel Destination [427]: Cannot create an OLE DB accessor. Verify that the column metadata is valid. Error: 0xC004701A at Data Flow Task, DTS.Pipeline: component "Excel Destination" (427) failed the pre-execute phase and returned error code 0xC0202025.
After analysing I found in the DataFlow --> Excel destination --> Advanced Editor for Excel Destination, the default data type for txtRemarks shows as "Unicode string [DT_WSTR]". But this is supposed to be "Unicode text stream [DT_NTEXT]". Even if I change the data type in the design time, It doesn't accept.

I have 5 TB of data in production and my development team requested to restore only last month data(<=500 MB ) in staging server and last 2 months data in pre production.
My goal is to show the most recent 12 months of data including the current month based on a patients discharge date (relative to the query execution time). There could be many years of data so I want to be sure I am pulling the most recent 12 monthsThis seems to work (on the surface anyway … not quite sure if this is the best logic to use).

I have a table of Employees. All the employees work in some departments. So, I have a table of Department too. Employee table consists of details like EmpID, FirstName, LastName, SAP etc. Dept table consists of TeamID, TeamNo. Now, I have another table called as Emp-Team. This table basically maps the employees to the department by taking EmpID and TeamID. There's one more column in this table which is date. This date is required because when some person resigns (say today) then he won't feature in the headcount for July 08 but till June 08 he was there and this is how I maintain my history. e.g All the employees in the Emp_Team table have date as 01/06/2008 for this month. So, in future if I query for the employees who worked in June I will get this list. Now, I want to copy all this data in the same table again and want to remove any people who have resigned. Their resignation status is in the Employee table, where you have their last working date as well. So, when I add all this data with date 01/07/2008 I want to remove any employees whose last working date is before that.
Can this be done or I have to change my design? In case it can be - How?
I have a package which establishes connection with DB2 server.I dont have any db2 application where i can format query for db2.This is my query in access/sql. can someone help me converting it into a db2 query.i tryed to google and use the functions but i failed and even the error that ssis gives don't help asthey are same for any type of error.
