Feb 17, 2011I have multiple xml data file in a directory say C:XMLData abc1.xml, abc2.xml, abc3.xml etc.
Need to loop through each file in ssis with Foreach loop container, and get the file name say abc1, and load the data of abc1.xml to abc1 table in sql server DB.
Next iteration will pick up the abc2.xml and find the abc2 table in sql server DB then insert the data in abc2 table.
While each iteration, xml source should also point each xsd file correspondingly.
Tables are already created in DB
I solved my problem up to getting the file name from ech iteration and assigned file name to variable, in oledb destination data access mode I select Table or view name variable, then corresponding table will get selected for data insertation.
Just wanted to know how can I read each xsd file for each xml data files while iteration.

Oct 5, 2015I've been working on an SSIS package trying to load some data and the archive sequence is faulty. I've been trying to load a few tables created in a previous sequence into a local archive file and I've been getting the error "Could not find a part of the path."
The results aren't telling me what it's finding last and so I don't know where to start.
And the source DOES have data in it. It's something between the source and the destination.

May 6, 2015I created a simple SSIS package that takes a Flat File Source (CSV file) and Imports it into a OLE DB Destination ([TestCSVImport].dbo.Table1). I have other CSV files I'd like to import, but I don't want to import entries where column "ordereID" (PK) are the equal. Just want to import the new data found in the CSV files. I tried adding a Lookup in-between the Flat File Source and the OLE DB Destination, but I'm not sure how to accomplish only importing new data.

I used CAST CONVERT bu still the same issue.

Integration Services :: Loading Datetime Field Give Wrong Dates In SSIS
May 30, 2015I am using Sql Server 2012. I have a table which has a field as Datetime (it is a table in Dynamics CRM 2011 so I have no control of the data type). Say this field is called BisStartDate. If I run this query in management studio.
select
BisStartDate, BisStartDateutc
from myTable
where _bisnumber=10375
I will get:
BisStartDate BisStartDateutc
2014-07-29 00:00:00.000 2014-07-29 05:00:00.000
*in CRM, datetime is saved in 2 fields, one is the current time, the other one is the utc time.
You can see the offset between the datetime and utc is 5 hours.
However when the same statement was running inside a SSIS package on the server, the result returned is:
BisStartDate BisStartDateutc
2014-07-28 23:00:00.0000000 2014-07-29 05:00:00.000
And if I do
datediff(MINUTE,CRMAF_BisSection.ttc_section_startdatetimeutc,CRMAF_BisSection.ttc_section_startdatetime)
I will get -5 if I run it in ManagementStudio and -6 is running on server package(running inside VisualStudio will be -5, same as running a query in ManagementStudio).
I think when the record was saved, “date” is 5 hours offset to UTC time but now the system use the current utc offset which is 6 hours. I just want to use the BisStartDate as it is. How do I let the SSIS turn off the conversion.
The same datatime is saved in another system then we compare them to check the data entry. Now because of this one hour difference, sometime the Day will be different.

First column values are table names which are already exists in target database. Next two columns[Desc],[Code] data gets populate from CSV file to table.
In this scenario, how to load tab1 data into the same table in destination and so on.
Which way will be more standard to accomplish this task? If its a script task using C#, looking for clear script to identify a value changes in the first column.

May 14, 2013I have csv files in the source folder being put on an hourly basis by an external software. The format of those files would be in the below way
file_demo-051420131000.csv
file_demo-051420131100.csv
file_demo-051420131200.csv
so on....
If you look at those files, they have date and time being appended
I would have move that file to a Processing folder and process the csv file and move that file to an archive folder every hour.
How would i rename the file to only file_demo.csv file.

Nov 2, 2015We have a 2014 SQL Server. I have a SSIS package written in VS 2008 where I am simply importing an .xlsx into an existing table via a mapped drive. I have it working on my development machine using the 2007 Access 32 bit driver from [URL]..... Our DBA is trying to schedule the package to execute on a schedule job on the 2014 server and we received an error. He installed the 32 bit driver and still getting the error. I set the package to run in 32 bit and we are still getting the error.

Apr 23, 2015I have a very simply package using an Excel connection to an XLSX file. It's a straight read of the file and import onto a table.
The package works fine in Visual Studio 2008 development and also runs fine when executing on the (server I copied it to) under Integration Services.
However, under a SQL Agent, the package (32-bit is checked) can not acquire the connection to an excel file. I use UNC pathing to the file. I've read other posts about similar problems and tried various scheduling options (including Owner of job).
I even tried a to trigger it with a command-line which did not work:

Integration Services :: Unprocessed File Count Variable In SSIS
May 12, 2015I've been working on an issue in an SSIS package and getting strange results using a package variable named "UnprocessedFileCount". I'm looping through files in a directory (using a Foreach Loop Container) to process data into the database, and after a certain amount of time, I stop processing the files and short circuit the loop to finish the package faster. I was tasked with counting the number of files that weren't processed and it seemed easy enough to count how many times the loop "short circuited" by incrementing a variable in a script task. I then wanted to send out an email and include the incremented variable in the body of the message.
I ran into issues when I used the variable name "UnprocessedFileCount". The variable was incrementing within the loop as expected. However, it was always resetting back to "0" after the ForEach file Loop Container completed.
After some heavy searching on the subject, to no avail, I eventually found that changing the variable name did not reset the variable.
I'm still using SQL Server 2008.

Dec 7, 2011I’ve been trying for a while now (won’t say how long), to get BIDS to read a very simple Excel file.
I’m talking SIMPLE!! No matter what I don, SSIS keeps throwing an error, and of course it doesn’t say what the error is, so I can’t really debug it.
I’ve tried this at least 20x with flat files, and it works perfect each time. I’ve done Data Conversions, Sorting, Union All, and several other Transformations; all work perfect.
Trying to used Excel as a data source, is proving to be a mind numbing experience. Of over 20 different attempts, it hasn’t worked even once. I can make it as simple as you can possibly imagine, and SSIS, refuses to even perform the first step (I’m not even trying to create a table in SQL Server anymore).
I have the Excel file path (very simple)
I have the Excel version (very simple)
I have the Connection Manager (very simple)
I have the Sheet name (very simple)
All I can do is see a preview of the Excel sheet before the process runs. As soon as I het F5, I get an instant error, for no reason whatsoever, and no debugging options,whatsoever.
