SQL 2012 :: Selected Subscriber Does Not Satisfy Minimum Version Compatibility Level Of Selected Publication

I have created a Transactional Replication Publication on my SQL 2012 server.When I log into another server on the domain running 2008R2 and try to subscribe to the 2012 Publication, I get the following error when clicking on "Add SQL Server Subscriber": "The selected Subscriber does not satisfy the minimum version compatibility level of the selected publication"
The 2012 DB is set as 2008 Compatibility Mode?Am I not able to Publish from 2012 to 2008?.I was using SSMS 2008 to connect to my 2012 Instance, thats why it didn't work...
Using SSRS 2008 r2...I have a report with a single-value parameter and three multi-value parameters, Class1, Name2 and Name3. I'm hoping for an explanation to one thing that I'm seeing and information on a second thing.
Class1 and Name2 both have the (Select All) parameter selected but Class1 is displaying the concatenated parameter variable list whereas Name2 is showing Null. Why is that? If anything, how can I get Class1 to be similar to Name2 and show Null?But my desired wish is to have Class1, Name2 and Name3 display the text"All Selected" when the parameter (Select All) is chosen.
Can anyone explain to me why my ssis packages will not work when DontSaveSensitive protection level is selected? My package configurations are set as SQL server configuration type, and I have a table in a database that contains all the sensitive information (passwords and such). If I select "EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey" everything works, but I will be the only one able to execute the packages (not good, I need others to be able to execute them as well).
The error I'm getting tells me that the connection is not configured correctly or I may not have the right permissions on the connection.
My guess is that the DontSaveSensitive drops the passwords, but when I edit the data source and re-enter the password, it still does not work. Also, the database table I use that contains the sensitive data is not affected, all data remains.
What the fudge is going on here? I'm a newbie at this, can someone help me out?
I have added a new table to a database (existing publication) using T-SQL, I then opened up publisher properties, and ticked the new table/article so that it would be added to the subscriber. It did not show up.
I did not use a snapshot to initialize the subscription.
Immediate Synch is 0. allow_anonymous is 0.
I mark the subscription to be reinitialized. When I start the snapshot agent I get '0% A snapshot was not generated because no subscriptions needed initialization'.
What could I be doing wrong, or missed out? Do I need to drop and recreate the subscription to get the article to show up?
In VisualStudio 2012 in C# projects when you double-click on a identifier (variable name, class name, etc) then all occurrences of that sting in the current file are highlighted.
It doesn't work in SQLServer projects in sql files. It is a shame that although we are in VisualStudio we are still limited in functionality.
There is a multi value parameter called "include" in the report where "Allow Multiple Values" is checked and it has 4 Available values as shown in the attached screen shots and preview of the report is also shown .There is no data set for this parameter and the values will get displayed on the report based on the visibility condition set in the report.Example : If first value is selected then 1 is passed and based on the visibility condition set in the report - the report output is displayed.None is default value and has value 4 and when the report is run with this option i.e. "None" then rest three parameter values are not applicable .
Requirement : -When the end user selects (Select All) Check box then (None) -check box must be disabled or must not appear for selection for the end user -When the end user selects check boxes either of the first three except None then also None check box must be disabled or must not appear for -selection for the end user -when the end user selects a combination of first three then also None check box must be disabled or must not appear for selection for the end user -The None is set as default with a value as 4 and is applicable only when the user does not select either of the first three values and the report will run.

You have selected the Publisher as a Subscriber and entered a subscription database that is the same as the publishing database. Select another subscription database.
How do i add another subscription database,since in my sql server has only 1 subscriber?
I have setup a merge replication publication (SQL server 2005 wth SQL Mobile) with dynamic filters based on host name and when i sync to the pda all data appears fine. When I make changes on the PDA and synchronise, the changes are pushed back to the server fine.
However when I change data on the server and synchronise at the PDA, no changes ever appear! Surely I must have missed something obvious or done something really stupid.
If i check the replication monitor it just says no changes so any suggestions would be great.

I am having a problem updating one field in a table the update should be the product of two other fields from the same row. There are atleast 3000+ records need to be updated here.
e.g.
update A set A.b = A.c * A.D
here b c and d are from same row .. I was wondering if someone knows how to solve this problem.
HI Guys, I have a question. I am converting Access SQL to SQL Server. One of the statements calls for a wildcard if the user does not select a value for the designated parm field. The value is selected from a cbolist (of names).
Current Statement: And tblRetailer_Contact.faxcontact LIKE *
I substituted: And tblRetailer_Contact.faxcontact LIKE ‘%@faxContacts%’
This might work if the User selects a name but if the User leaves it blank it will not work. Any ideas on how I go about establishing a wildcard if not name is selected?

I am new to writing sprocs so forgive me if this is trivial. I am selecting fields from a table and placing them into a temp table in row format. (Row 1 in temp table is the first row in a file that will be created using DTS package). My question is: How can a format a field that I have selected that only has, say 3 chars, into a value of 5. Its 2 tables "Courses" and "Facilitators" The Course table contain: Course_Id and Course_Name The Facilitators table contain: Facili_Id and Facili_Name
The two tables have (many to many) relation between them. So I split them into a 3rd table called "Trans" which contain the PK from each Table That will be : "Trans_Course_Id" and "Trans_Facili_Id"
I put some data on each table… at least 3 records and related some of them in the "Trans" table
Now im looking for an SQL command that brings me All the "Facili_ID" and "Facili_Name" for a specific course. And only those who is not already selected by the same course?

What I need to do is to get a list of packslips where the packslip number will BEGIN with the user selected parameter. For example if the user input is 'ORD000888' then I could possibly get a return of: Ord000888-0 Ord000888-1 Ord000888-2...............and so on. I have a unusual problem with a snapshot publication that I am having a hard time troubleshooting. The servers in question are all SQL 05 Enterprise. Here is the scenario:
Staging Server - This server acts as the publisher of the snapshot Production Server - This server is the subscriber of the staging snapshot Cascade Servers - These servers receive transactional updates from the production server
The staging server applies the snapshot to production successfully. From there the production server has a transactional publication which the subscribers are the cascade servers.
This model worked for a long time where we would generate the snapshot apply it to production and the updates would be sent to the cascade servers. All of a sudden there is a problem with the transactional publication from production -> cascade. There are 7-10 tables that do not receive the updates and all data in the problematic tables is truncated. The other remaining tables in the subscription receive the updates as needed. Looking at replication monitor and all other logs shows that the transactions are being replicated, but yet the 7-10 problematic tables do not contain any data. The only solution I have found for this is to recreate the entire replication model from scratch.
Any advice on how to handle this scenario? Is my model for using a transactional publication to cascade changes to a subset of servers incorrect?

In a few places in my application I want to execute a procedure for every selected record. The only way that I know how to do this is to use a cursor, as below. This code works perfectly, but everything I read says that one should use set operations rather than cursors wherever possible, as they are much more efficient. So what I really want to do is something like Exec procedure argument [,argument]... where argument in (Selet value from ....)or perhaps Exec procedure (select ...) [,argument]or SELECT (procedure.... all of which are invalid.
