SQL Server 2008 :: Error - Database Page Could Not Be Processed

I have moved some DB's from a physical server to a virtual server while the physical server is being upgraded. This morning when I checked to make sure all the jobs are running fine I saw that a backup job failed for one of the databases. The error was :

Then I ran a DBCC check db command and found the following errors:
Msg 8928, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Msg 8939, Level 16, State 98, Line 1
Msg 8976, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Msg 8978, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Msg 8939, Level 16, State 98, Line 1
Msg 8978, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
The messages varies from data from one page cannot be referenced on another, data page cannot be processed, page was not seen in the scan although the parent was etc etc.
I am getting following error when I try to create the 1st diagram for my existing database in SQL server management studio . I am using sql server 2008 express. Operating system is Vista basic home.  I was able to get past the "no valid owner error" problem by using the ALTER PROCEDURE; now I have the following: Invalid column name 'uvalue'.Invalid column name 'uvalue'.Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.sp_upgraddiagrams'.Object is invalid. I have a SQL2008 database, running Standard Edition 64-bit, database owns by sa, connected to Management Studio using Windows Authentication mode. When I tried to generate scripts from a database, I got the following error messages:-
[Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object. (SqlManagerUI)]
which happened at one particular table. I have reviewed this table definitions are normal, and I could select data from it.
I couldn't find any information anywhere relating to this error messages, except that someone got it when they were trying to change the authentication mode or sa password.
I want to import xml file directly from web page into microsoft sql table. At the moment the import is done after the XML file is downloaded local.I want to skip this step to manualy download the file.It can be done in SQL? when i change the path i get this error: Cannot bulk load because the file URL... could not be opened. Operating system error code 123(The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.)

I've been using full-text for quite some time, but I switched to another product for quite some time. The reason is that microsoft full-text doesn't offer the feature where one can get a resultset of page x out of y pages, i.e: give me top 100 matches of page 125 out of 5000 pages. I disappointedly waited for SQL Server 2005 and now it doesn't seem to support in sql server 2008 full-text search either. I had to get all 5000 pages of data, then jumped to page 125 to get just 100 records of that page--had to go get a coffee and came back for a 2+ millions rows table. Customers want the result in a split of a second.
Anyone knows if the final version of sql server 2008 will have better support for paging and getting top x rows? I scanned through 2008 BOL and didn't see any change from sql server 2005 or even sql server 2000 full-text search. (one improvement in sql server 2005 over sql server 2000 was the speed of populating large catalog and multiple languages support)
I am working now on optimization of an update query for a particular table and I want to measure the number of page splits after each update. How to check it?
I created a thread 2 days back on a performance problem RE non-trusted check constraints and foreign key constraints. We are planning to make them trusted to see if it works. On the other hand, we see about 50+ clustered/non-clustered indexes with >90% fragmentation but the page counts for all these indexes are in the range between 500-900. I'm reading in the whitepaper that index fragmentation with less than 1000 pages is not a concern.
In the last one and half years, I used the Northwind Database in SQL Server Management Studio Express (SSMSE) to learn the programming of SqlConnections, Data sources, Database Exploere, ADO.NET 2.0, etc. via VB 2005 Express.
The Northwind Database in my SSMSE got lost very often, but I was not aware of it. How can I know where the Northwind Database is used or processed by my VB 2005 Express projects that were the examples of some tutorial books or my trial projects? How can I release the Northwind Database back to my SSMSE from the VB 2005 Express projects? Please help and advise.
I have created a cube with Analysis Service 2005. I then publish the pivot table (generated in Microsoft Excel 2003) as a web page. When I view the web page on the domain the LAN everything is working properly. But when the web page I view on Internet I get the error.
The query could not be processed:
* An error was encounted in the transport layer
* The peer prematurely closed the connection.
The web page is publish on the Internet Information Server, I changed the security directory of the website, but the error persists.
The firewall of the machine is disabled.
The port 2382 and 2883 are allowed.
The components needed to consult the cube are installed in the machine on which you are viewing the cube.
On the Rol of Analysis Service are allowed all users.
We noticed a deadlock 3-4 weeks ago on a table (table1) and deadlock graph was captured.
When I am analyzing the deadlock graph, page number using DBCC PAGE, I am getting the object id for a different table (table2). But deadlock graph shows the name of the object as table1.
Is it possible that subsequent defragmentation of indexes would have caused the respective page id to got re-allocated to a different table? I checked the deadlock graph lately only after 3-4 weeks.

I am trying to copy database from one server to another using the Copy Database Wizard in SQL Server 2008 R2. The process fails in the last step. The error msg is not clear and it says there are more than two errors etc etc.
I have SQL Server Enterprise set up with Merge replication, it is being used to Sync with Windows Mobile Devices as the subscribers.
All the Windows Mobile subscribers have been synchronising fine up until recently, when 1 of the Subscribing Windows Mobile devices received this error. The day after, another device Synchronised fine the first time (note that the Synchronisation was a long one and the SDF grew in size dramatically while the synchronisation occured, but the Sync worked fine and the SDF dropped back to its initial size) The 2nd sync 5 mins later failed however so this Mobile device has the same error also.
Any suggestions as to the below are much appreciated
a) Why this error occurs? b)How do you resolve this error? c)What is the Repair utility mentioned in the error, and is it of use to me?

I receive the following error when trying to add a local database to my project.
"The data provider required to connect to the local data file could not found. The file will be added to the project but the typed DataSet associated with the file will not be generated."
I've reinstalled VS2k8, SQL Compact 3.1 and SQL Compact 3.5 on my machine and still receive the error.

I haven't used the SSCE before and so it's possible I've mistakenly omitted some required items.
I had to to relocate the database log file and I issued an Alter database command but by mistake I put a space in the file name as below. The space is at the beginning file name. Now I am unable get the database loaded to SQL Server. The database has 2 replications configured, so deleting and re-attaching the database means the replication needs to be re-configured. Is there an alternative way to issue a command to update the database FILENAME ? Not sure if this can be edited in master database (sys files).

Hello again!I think what I need to do should be simple, but it is proving difficult.I am displaying a page with data drawn from three different SQL Server tables. Most of the fields on the page correspond to fields in one of the three tables, and these fields can be updated by the user. I then want to propagate these updates to SQL Server, refill the DataSet, and rebind.What I'm currently doing is basically this. I've set up a separate SqlCommand for this update. I have a ParameterCollection defined for this SqlCommand that includes the key field to be used in my WHERE clause and all the fields I want to update.When the user clicks on the [Save Customer Review] button, I (1) set the values of the parameters to the values of the corresponding screen fields, in most instances using one of the Convert methods so the data being assigned to the parameter has the correct type; (2) open an SqlConnection; (3) do SqlCommand1.ExecuteNonQuery(); (4) close the SqlConnection; (5) fill the DataSet; (6) bind.I've experienced multiple kinds of failure in this process, but the primary kinds of failure I've experienced are these:- The one value I'm actually updating (a text field) doesn't get updated on the database. No other fields are touched.- Two fields with Int values (SQL Server shows them as length 4; does that correspond to Int32?) are set to NULL.- The ExecuteNonQuery complains that I'm not supplying a value for the one field that is type DateTime. (In the SQL Server database, this field is permitted to be NULL, and in the record I'm playing with, it is in fact NULL. However, since TextBox.Value is of type String, I'm having to set it to Nothing [Visual Basic] if the text box is blank.)One thing I don't like about this is that I can't see what values the parameters are taking on as I do my processing, even in the debugger. I have an asp drive web page that writes a row to a table on sqlserver 2000. if you can restore a database to Server B using Server A as the service. Meaning we would issue the command on Server A but somehow point to Server B as where we want the restore to happen.
The backup file would be in a location independent of both servers.
Is it possible to install SQL Server 2005 Eval on a Virtual PC 2007 client running Server 2008 Beta? Nothing says it isn't possible, it says I need to service pack it right away, but before it gets started it comes up with the error 'sqlcu.dll failed to load'. Anyone know what this is all about?

I want to apply page break whenever @sort=Name. There should be no page break when user selects @sort = ID or Date. Page break should happen only when @sort value = Name

I am trying to look into a query thats taking 5 mins to execute on our production. Its an LinQ generated 6000 Line SQL query that the dev team is trying to put into production without any testing. They want me to add indexes to the database( brand new) so that the query will run fast. The execution plan really looks weird. So Just as a starter I tried to tune it using the DTA and I am getting the below error. I am using a .sql query file as the input.

My question is what value is the maximum value that I should consider adding per recommendation (2) in the above error.
I am getting "Row not found on subscriber" error on the subscriber. I am trying to find the root cause.
1. Records get lost during publication initialization from backup, could not reproduce it though. I was inserting records in a loop into a replicated table while initializing the publication from backup. After the backup/restore finished, I have stopped the insert, allowed the replication to catch up and compared the row count, it was identical.
2. Someone or some process is deleting the records on the subscriber. Setup Audit, but could not confirm this theory so far.
3. Records get deleted twice, as we publish the execution of some bulk delete archive jobs, to fix latency issues. Found this article, which says, this is not the case:

4. Records are deleted on the subscriber by triggers. The impacted database has no triggers.
We are working with works with tool certification with windows server 2008 64 bit version. Ours is a web application, we are using SQL as Database. In windows server 2008 64 bit I installed 32 bit SQL 2005 when I am installing the application is ROOLING BACK while installing. But it€™s finely working with in windows server 2008 32 bit and 32 bit SQL 2005.
Then I Tried with 64 bit SQL 2005 in 64 bit windows server 2008 but our application is unable to recognize the SQL 64 bit.Our application is not showing any database but manuvally I am able to connect to Database.
Bouth 32 and 64 bit SQL 2005 are packed with SP2.
How to solve this problem do you have any Ideas€¦€¦€¦€¦€¦
1) I can't get the 'copy database' function to work from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2005. I connect ok. Everything goes to the last step and then it fails.2) I cant get a SQL server 2008 backup to restore on SQL SEerver 2005 either. The only way I know that works is to script the creation of all tables then export and import. This does work. How can I get the 'entire' database, structure and data, from 2008 to 2005? I was having issue with one of my databases in SQL EXPRESS. It is offline this morning …it said “Database 'MyDB' cannot be opened due to inaccessible files or insufficient memory or disk space. When I checked the error log ..it only said “FCB::Open failed: Could not open file D:DatabasesMyDB_Data.mdf for file number 1. OS error: 32(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15100).
I did alter database offline and and online ..it works for me( I can access the database again but I need to find the cause of this issue )I checked the max memory setting is still by default .. not limited for SQL ..it could be the cause ?
Just heard about the coming release of SQL Server 2008. Anyone here got some ideas on what are significant new features in SQL Server 2008 Database Engine compared to SQL Server 2005 Database Engine? Would be very interesting to know that.
I am task with identifying the source database name, id, and server name for each staging table that I create. I need to add this to a derived column on all staging tables created from merging same tables on different servers together.
When doing a Merge Join, there is no way to identify the source of data so I would like to see if data came from one database more than the other servers or if their are duplicates across servers.
The thing that bugs me about SSIS Data Flow task is there is no way to do an easy Execute SQL Task after I select my ADO.NET Source to get this information because my connection string is dynamic and there is no way of know which data source is being picked up at runtime.
For Example I have Products table on Server 1 and 2:
Server 2 has more Products and would like to join the two together to create a staging table.
Is it possible to view the Connection String information of a remote login/session? I want to know if the login is looking-up the database server via IP address, servername (NetBIOS name) or fully-qualified domain name (FQDN).
Using these DMVs I can get a lot of relevant information:
sys.dm_exec_sessions Program Name (eg. Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio), Client Interface Name (eg. .Net SqlClient Data Provider) sys.dm_exec_connections Net Transport (eg. TCP), Client Net Address and TCP Port
but not how the server's IP address was resolved. Is the connection string ever sent by the client to the server, or just used for DNS lookup?
