I have a Flat File Source whose LocaleID property is Norwegian, which is the same as the flat file connection manager's LocaleID. There are no validation warnings, but when I run the package I get a "The LocaleID 20 is not installed on this system" error.
How can I install LocaleID 20 (Norwegian)?

I have been reading the forums for awhile now trying to determine how to fix the problem, and all i can find out is that it is fixed in SQL2008.
It is a DataFlow Task that keeps failing. Everything inside the dataflow task works, but the task fails at the end due to the previously mentioned error. It doesn't fail all the time, just enough to really upset me.
I've been getting the error below inconsistently when kicking SSIS packages off from a custom windows service. This same service works fine on our development and integration servers but not on our production servers. When I run the packages manually, it works great. Can someone provide any insight as to what is going on?

Hi Friends, I have a question. At my home computer i downloaded and installed VWD. As usual it also installed Sqlexpress as part of the installation(i checked the option). Later on i downloaded Management studio separately so i am fine with my home computer as every thing is free. But at work we decided to develop application using VS 2005 and Sqlserver 2005. So we bought and installed VS2005 professional edition at work and it also installed Sqlexpress during the installation as a defualt desktop engine. I am fine with that too. But i am not understing where do i get the Management studio? Is it some thing i could get it off the web for free or what? I am not sure we would have an option while installing the VS 2005 professional that also does install management studio and we need to check that option. I am not sure if we could get the management studion off the web for free and and evelop applications.

Ok guys, I am trying to install Sql server 2005 on Vista but I am still stuck with this warning message in the System Configuration Check during Sql server 2K5 installation :

I am wondering how thosetools know to differentiate between these types of quasi-system objects,and my real user data. (This is for the purpose of a customized schemagenerator I am writing). I'm getting this error on a vb.net page the needs to execute two separate stored procedures. The first one, is the main insert, and returns the identity value for the ClientID. The second stored procedure inserts data, but needs to insert the ClientID returned in the first stored procedure. Hi, I have developed a custom server control for .NET Framework 2.0. The server control has a property named BinaryData of type byte[]. I marked this property to be data bindable. Now, I have varbinary(Max) type of field in my SQL Database and I have used SQLDataSource and bound this varbinary(Max) field with the property BinaryData (byte[]) of my control. It is working fine as long as the data value is not NULL. Now, In my control, I have handled the NULL value so that no Exception is thrown. Still, when I bind this property using the SQLDataSource, I get Error "Unable to cast object of type 'System.DBNull' to type 'System.Byte[]'." I am not sure if I can do anything to stop this erro within my control. If it is not possible from the control, then what is the workaround that I can do in my ASPX page in order to stop this error ? MS documentation is short when it comes to explanation of Quiescing a system for peer to peer replication. It seems that for any change the whole p2p machine has to stop ? This would cripple our development/releases... Is it really the case ? Can all p2p nodes be quiesced except one, the one when I would also make changes ? i.e. N1 <> N2 <> N3 I would stop inserts/updates/deletes for N1 & N3 and keep inserting/updating/deleting for N2 as I'm making schema change on N2 (additional table, additional field etc). Would it work ? Also, would I need to stop selects for N1 & N2 ?
I'm just wondering how many people have gone to SQL 7 SP3. Is it a case of only applying it if it fixes a particular problem you are experiencing, or have you installed it to keep with the latest version ?

How do I install a SQL Server 2005 Express to have no instance?
I have a SQL 2005 Server Enterprise which has no instance, just the server name, even when pointing to the DB, you just use the server name and the DB name.
I am not any good in SQL, but need to configure SQL Express for a project I am busy with and would like it if I could only have a name, and not an instance.
