Transact SQL :: Error 1934 When Trying To Delete A Record From File-table?
Sep 28, 2015
I just wanted to delete a record from a filetable by "delete from dbo.DocumentStore where stream_id = 'A322276D-AE65-E511-8266-005056C00008'".
Then i received error 1934:
Meldung 1934, Ebene 16, Status 1, Zeile 578

Something that i made a mistake with the SET-option for 'ANSI_PADDING' with indexted views and/or calculated rows and/or filtered indeces ...
I'm trying to clean up a database design and I'm in a situation to where two tables need a FK but since it didn't exist before there are orphaned records.
Tables are:
Brokers and it's PK is BID
The 2nd table is Broker_Rates which also has a BID table.
I'm trying to figure out a t-sql statement that will parse through all the recrods in the Broker_Rates table and delete the record if there isn't a match for the BID record in the brokers table.
I know this isn't correct syntax but should hopefully clear up what I'm asking
Hi All,I have a table in SQL Server 2000 that contains several million memberids. Some of these member ids are duplicated in the table, and eachrecord is tagged with a 1 or a 2 in [recsrc] to indicate where theycame from.I want to remove all member ids records from the table that have arecsrc of 1 where the same member id also exists in the table with arecsrc of 2.So, if the member id has a recsrc of 1, and no other record exists inthe table with the same member id and a recsrc of 2, I want it leftuntouched. So, in a theortetical dataset of member id and recsrc:0001, 10002, 20001, 20003, 10004, 2I am looking to only delete the first record, because it has a recsrcof 1 and there is another record in the table with the same member idand a recsrc of 2.I'd very much appreciate it if someone could help me achieve this!Much warmth,Murray
I will try my best to explain this, We have a shopping cart on our website, the person that was developing this has now left the company and I've been given the job to finish it off.
When I load all the items that the user has entered in to his/her cart I return the Item ID and the RowNumber (ROW_NUMBER() OVER (Order by Id) AS RowNumber)
I'm trying to delete the item from the table using the following query
DELETE FROM [dbo].[Cart.Items] WHERE UniqueID = UniqueID and ItemID = @ItemID and @RowNumber IN ( SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER (Order by Id) AS RowNumber)
Now the reason we are using the RowNumber is because the user can add the same Item as many times as they like so for example you buy 3 different mobile phones, and you want three screen protectors, they will click screen protector 3 times which will add 3 records in to the db with the same id. so the row number is used to find the correct one.
Hi, I want to delete from table when the record count is over 5000. That is, the table's record cannot over 5000 count. How? row_number() seem to be used...
I need to delete records from a table (Table1) which has a foreign key column in a related table (Table2).
Table1 columns are: table1Id; Name. Table2 columns include Table2.table1Id which is the foreign key to Table1.
What is the syntax to delete records from Table1 using Table1.Name='some name' and remove any records in Table2 that have Table2.table1Id equal to Table1.table1Id?
I have a table in different databases with the same name. My goal is to compare the two tables, and insert a record into the second table where there is not a match in the first table. So far, my query looks like the following:
SELECT [metal] FROM [ProductionDatabase].[dbo].[Metalurgy] EXCEPT SELECT [metal] FROM [TestDatabase].[dbo].[Metalurgy]
This gives me a list of records from [Production].[dbo].[Metalurgy] which do not reside in [TestDatabase].[dbo].[Metalurgy]. Now, I need to use that list to insert missing records into [TestDatabase].[dbo].[Metalurgy]. How can I modify the above code to INSERT the missing records?
I like to give First Name and Last Name in two different text box and then hit the delete button (command button). Then it will do a query to find the person and delete the corresponding record from the table. Any kind of help will be appreciated. Thank you.
I have student table where duplicate student exist by name with there fathers name and mothers name. I need to search those duplicate records. I do not need ti count them but If there is 5 same student with name then the query will show 5 name then I will delete individually. Below I am trying to show the scenario.
Student_name _____________ Rocky Albert Rocky Williams Albert Robert
The query will show
Student_name ______________ Rocky Rocky Albert Albert
I have two tables; Table A id, name 101, jones 102, smith 103, williams 104, johnson 105, brown 106, green 107, anderson
Table B id, name, city, state
101, jones, des moine, Idaho 103, williams, Corvallis, Oregon 104, johnson, Grand Forks, North Dakota 105, brown, Phoenix, Arizona 107, anderson, New York, New York
I need to delete records from Table A that are not in Table B. My front end is writen in .net and I am using Data Access Layer along with a Business Logic Layer for data interaction.
I have tried at least seven variations of joining, right outer join, left outer join resulting in wiping our the entire table or nothing at all; not to mention deleting the record that ought to remain and keeping the record that needs to be deleted!
In my BLL I tried to capture the rowsAffected for the deletion by using-without success.
Dim rowsAffected As Integer = Adapter.ID_Deletion(ID)
I've a table named Master in which a column is referenced in other tables like Child1, Child2,.. ChildN. I've deleted a part of data( say Column Id values 1,2,3,4,5) from all the Child tables which pointed to Master table Id column.
Now, I want to delete the same Id values from Master table as there rows are not referred in any of the child tables. When I try to delete the Id values 1 thru 5 from Master table, it is scanning all child tables for the references and taking lot of time for the deletion.
Is there any way to specify to the system(in the query) to delete the Master table values without scanning the child tables..?
I'm trying to pull all records from one table and just a single record from another. I have this join, (see below). It works ok, but the problem is if a blog record doesn't have a corresponding image record it doesn't return. The end result should be the blog record and a single corresponding image record. But always a blog record.
Consider a 4 tables where 1 of them is considered to be as the parent class and the other 3 are sub-classes and they are disjoint so for every recored i insert in the parent class i want to also insert in one of the subclass according to a condition which checks a certain attribute in the recored that is also entered in the parent class .. how could this be done .
I have a large table with 100 Million records that has around 1 million duplicate records that need to be deleted.
I am running a script that creates a staging table called,DuplicateTable that collects all the duplicates and then I want to write a an effecient delete statement.
Is it possible to write something like:
delete from OrigTable O join DuplicateTable D on O.Key = D.key
Or do I have to run a loop on the DuplicateTable and run a delete statement record by record ?
--Table 1 "Employee" CREATE TABLE [MyCompany].[Employee]( [EmployeeGID] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, [BranchFID] [int] NOT NULL, [FirstName] [varchar](50) NOT NULL, [MiddleName] [varchar](50) NOT NULL, [LastName] [varchar](50) NOT NULL, CONSTRAINT [PK_Employee] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED ( [EmployeeGID] ) GO ALTER TABLE [MyCompany].[Employee] WITH CHECK ADD CONSTRAINT [FK_Employee_BranchFID] FOREIGN KEY([BranchFID]) REFERENCES [myCompany].[Branch] ([BranchGID]) GO ALTER TABLE [MyCompany].[Employee] CHECK CONSTRAINT [FK_Employee_BranchFID]
-- Table 2 "Branch" CREATE TABLE [Mycompany].[Branch]( [BranchGID] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, [BranchName] [varchar](50) NOT NULL, [City] [varchar](50) NOT NULL, [ManagerFID] [int] NOT NULL, CONSTRAINT [PK_Branch] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED ( [BranchGID] ) GO ALTER TABLE [MyCompany].[Branch] WITH CHECK ADD CONSTRAINT [FK_Branch_ManagerFID] FOREIGN KEY([ManagerFID]) REFERENCES [MyCompany].[Employee] ([EmployeeGID]) GO ALTER TABLE [MyCompany].[Branch] CHECK CONSTRAINT [FK_Branch_ManagerFID]
--Foreign IDs = FID --generated IDs = GID Then I try a simple single row DELETE
DELETE FROM MyCompany.Employee WHERE EmployeeGID= 39
Well this might look like a very basic error: I get this Error after trying to delete something from Table Employee?
The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint "FK_Branch_ManagerFID". The conflict occurred in database "MyDatabase", table "myCompany.Branch", column 'ManagerFID'.
Yes what Ive been doing is to deactivate the foreign key constraint, in both tables when performing these kinds of operations, same thing if I try to delete a Branch? entry, basically each entry in branch? and Employee? is child of each other which makes things more complicated.
My question is, is there a simple way to overcome this obstacle without having to deactivate the foreign key constraints every time or a good way to prevent this from happening in the first place? Is this when I have to use ON DELETE CASCADE? or something?
How to delete records from multiple tables if main table’s entity is deleted as constraints is applied on all..There is this main table called Organization or TblOrganization.and this organization have branches which are in Brach table called tblBranch and this branch have multiple applications let say tblApplication and these application are used by multiple users called tblUsers. What I want is: when I delete the Organization All branches, application and users related to it must be deleted also. How I can apply that on a button click in asp.net web forms..Right now this is my delete function which is very simple
Public void Delete(int? id){ var str=”DELETE FROM tblOrganization WHERE organizationId=”+ id ; } And My tables LOOK LIKE this CREATE TABLE tblOrganization ( OrganizationId int, OrganizationName varchar(255)
I am looking for a Sql query to verify the inserted values from one table(in CSV file) with another table(in sql database)
For example: I have below Values column that is present in once CSV file, after my data migration the values get stored in Results table under Message column.
I need to very whether values(1X,1Y) are inserted in Message record "successfully inserted value 1X"
Values (CSV) 1X 1Y
Results Table(SQL) CreatedDate Message 2015-08-04 08:45:29.203 successfully inserted value 1X 2015-08-04 08:44:29.103 TEst pass 2015-08-04 08:43:29.103 successfully inserted value 1X 2015-08-04 08:42:29.203 test point 2015-08-04 08:35:29.203 successfully inserted value 1Y 2015-08-04 08:30:29.203 Test Pass 2015-08-04 08:28:29.203 successfully inserted value 1Y
If all values are inserted:
Output: All values from values table are inserted successfully Total count of values inserted: 2 If only few values are inserted, example only 1X from Values table is inserted in Message
Example: Results Table CreatedDate Message 2015-08-04 08:45:29.203 successfully inserted value 1X 2015-08-04 08:44:29.103 TEst pass 2015-08-04 08:43:29.103 successfully inserted value 1X 2015-08-04 08:42:29.203 test point
Output: All values from values are not inserted successfully in result table. Total count of values inserted: 1 Missing Values not inserted in results table are: 1Y
I'm rather new to ssis and I've been reading and testing but didn't find a solution for this problem.Supose I've got a table Customer with some fields. One of the fields is CustID.I want to create as many flat files as there are Customers in the table with flat file name set to the CustID.If you could point me in a good direction, It would be nice.Greetings from Belgium
Question pls. I have an MS SQL local package where it exports data from SQL table to Excel file. My question is, how can erase all the records in my excel file before i export the new data from SQL table?
What i want is to delete the rows in the destination file before inserting new records.
I have a SQL script to insert data into a table as below:
INSERT into [SRV1INS2].BB.dbo.Agents2 select * from [SRV2INS14].DD.dbo.Agents
I just want to set a Trigger on Agents2 Table, which could delete all rows in the table , before carry out any Insert operation using above statement.I had below Table Trigger on [SRV1INS2].BB.dbo.Agents2 Table as below: But it did not perform what I intend to do.
USE [BB] GO /****** Object: Trigger Script Date: 24/07/2015 3:41:38 PM ******/ SET ANSI_NULLS ON GO SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
there are two tables involve in replication let say table1 and replicated table is also rep.table1.
we are not deleting records physically in table1 so only a bit in table1 has true when u want to delete a record but the strange thing is that replication agaent report that this is hard delete operation on table1 so download and report hard delete operation and delete the record in replicated table which is very crucial.
plz let me know where am i wrong and how i put it into right way.
there is no triggers on published tables and noother trigger is created on published table.
Copy out all data from a DB table into/across delimited text file(s) ensuring that each text file size is no more than 3MB.Have created a SSIS solution where it achieves this requirement ..well sort of achieves the requirement ... Here it what the current solution (sparing the minute details) does in a nutshell & Problems with it:
1) Created a function (Script below) which finds the maximum row size in bytes in a given DB table & uses it to calculate how many rows can be copied out into a text file without exceeding 3MB size limit.
For instance: A DB table selected had 788 rows in total and this function for this particular table returned a value of 181 rows { select [dbo].[udf_GetRowPartitionNumber](‘<TableName>’)as #ofRowstoPartitionTableby --181} meaning in order to not exceed the requirement of 3MB per text file, we had to copy all the data from DB table across (create) 5 text files {Select CEILING(788
I am attempting to create a multi-record file (as described in my last thread) and have found the following set of instructions very helpful: http://vsteamsystemcentral.com/cs21/blogs/steve_fibich/archive/2007/09/25/multi-record-formated-flat-file-with-ssis.aspx
I have been able to create a sample file with two of my record types.
I now need to build on this further, because I have 9 record types in total that need to be extracted to a single flat file.
does anyone have any ideas how I might extend the example above to include more record types or know of another means of achieving this?
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.
