What Data Mining Tasks Can Be Automated And Scheduled Via Integration Services Packages?

Would please any expert here give me any guidance about what Data Mining tasks can be automated and scheduled via Integration Services Packages? Also, If we automated the tasks, can we also automatically save the results of the tasks somewhere? Like if we automate assessing the accuracy of a mining model, then we wanna know the mining model accuracy later, therefore, we need to save all these results from the automated actions. Is it possible to realize this?

I am wondering if it is possible to use SSIS to sample data set to training set and test set directly to my data mining models without saving them somewhere as occupying too much space? Really need guidance for that.
I have a requirement to read an encrypted file as a data source. I am not allowed to save an unencrypted text file version on disc at any time for any length of time, therefore I created a custom source component that reads an encrypted csv file, decrypts it, and then passes each row of data to the pipeline and ultimately to an ole data destination. Basically it is just a text file reader with an added class that adds functionality that decrypts the file before the component sets columns or reads rows.
The custom component, “Encrypted File Source”, has a custom property “encryptionkey” with the encryption required flag set to true (code below) and is declared as eligible to be set in the expressions.

I want to be able to set the password for the encrypted file in the SQL Agent job that executes the SSIS project. This means I have an environment with a variable, “DataPassword”, that is set to sensitive. It maps to a Project parameter in the SQL Agent job that is also set to sensitive. And I now I want to access that sensitive Project Password inside my data flow, specifically in the Encrypted File source task that I created and set my EncryptionKey to that Project Parameter.
The problem is that SSIS says.
"expression cannot be evaluated. ... The Expression will not be evaluated because it contains sensitive parameter value "$Project::DataFilePassord" . Hi, I'm trying to learn about analysis, integration and reporting services. I have install SQL server 2005 management Studio Express. but I cant find these in the Start menu as mentioned in the tutorial Click Start > SQL Server 2005 > Business Intelligence Development Studio.(for reporting services). what do I need to do? Please help me.

Is there a way to change an image data type? I want to make a change to some deployed SQL 2008 SSIS deployed packages. I have a TSQL SELECT that searches the packages for a string. But I would like to be able to change a string. I have googled it but cannot find anything.
We manage some SSIS servers, which has only SSIS and SSIS tools installed on them and not the sql server DB.
SSIS packages and configuration files are deployed on a NAS. We run the SSIS packages through DTEXEC by logging in to the server.
We want to allow developers to run their packages on their own on the server, but at the same time we dont want to give them physical access on the server i.e we do not want to add them into RDP users list on server properties. We want them to allow running their packages remotely on the server.
One way We could think of is by using powershell remoting and we are working on that. But is there any other way or any tool already present for the same.
I have all this gray space at the top of my tasks. When I <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Left-click> to select all of my tasks and then try sliding it up, it creates even more gray space and actually moves it down. If instead when I <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Left-click> and then <Ctrl>+<Arrow-up> it doesn't move it. Is there any easy way to eliminate all this gray space at the top?
I have an SSIS package that successfully runs a Teradata connection query. However, when I schedule the job to run in the SQL Server Agent I get the following error:

Why would a connection work in SSIS but not in a scheduled SQL Server Agent job?
I've created a SSIS package that calls the access dll and fires off 2003 access reports, saves them as PDF's and emails them off.
Now this works fine when I run it manually, but when I schedule and fire off a job I get a very vague error "exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation".
I have copied the access dll to the GAC and .net framework v2.0.50727 but still no luck.
I'm using Bull zip PDF printer and those DLL's are also in the GAC
I've run into a problem with SSIS packages wherein tasks that write or copy files, or create or delete directories, quit execution without any hint of an error nor a failure message, when called from an ASP.NET 2.0 application running on any other machine than the one where the package was created from. By all indications it appeared to be an identity/permissions problem.
Our application involves a separate web server and database server. Both have SQL Server 2005 installed, but the application server originally only had Integration services. The packages are file system-deployed on the application server, and are called using Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime methods. For all packages that involve file system tasks, the above problem occurs.
When the above packages are run using the command prompt (either DTEXEC or DTEXECUI) the packages execute just fine. This is expected since we are using an administrative account. However when a ShellExecute of the same command is called from ASP.NET, the same problem occurs.
I've tried giving administrative permissions to the ASPNET worker process user to no avail.
I have likewise attempted to use the SQL Server Agent job approach but that approach might not be acceptable for our clients since it means installing SQL Server 2005 Database services on the application server.

SQL Server Agent is set to Logon As my domain account, and in the package history it says "logged on as " my account.
I have a fuzzy lookup in Integration Services Packages that does not seem to run. I am pulling data from a table in sql server 2008 R2 and comparing results to data from another table in sql server (same database & instance) using a fuzzy lookup for match similarities between the data sets. When my data flow task reaches my fuzzy lookup, a DOS box pops up for a second and then my packages finishes with a message of "Finished. Cancelled". The last message in my execution results displays: "Information: Execute phase is beginning". Again, there are no excel files being processed or utilized in this package. I've tried running my packages both in 32 bit and 64 bit mode.
What is the best way of documenting SSIS packages?I am not interested in purchasing any software, any general template that covers the key information of any SSIS package that should be defined and documented.
I am currently moving everything from SQL Server 2005 SP2 to SQL Server 2012. I have a method for getting users, logins, roles and SQL jobs. But I also have to get copy all of the SSIS packages from 2005 to 2012. I know I can go to the 2012 SQL Server and click on the MSDN folder and choose import. However, this only enables me to import one package at a time. I have 95 packages. Is there a way to get them all from the 2005 SQL Server to the 2012 SQL Server in one shot? I am not a SQL developer nor am I a DBA but I have been assigned this task.
I'm pretty new to SSIS but I've managed to cobble together a number of individual packages to refresh SQL tables from a 3rd-party database.
Now, what I'd like to do is have a single package that I can use to invoke each of the individual ones. Since it will run on a quad, I'd like to invoke them such they'll run in parallel.

i am creating ssis packages with condition split . condition is SUBSTRING(EnglishProductName,1,1) == "A". pacakge is successfully executived but data is not move to condition split transformer to oldeb destinations. it not showing any error.
I am wondering where can I store my mining results in data mining engine? For example, I got mining results like accuracy chart, decision trees, and other formats of results based on different mining algorithms I used for my data mining, so where can I actually store the results for reporting service use later? Is it possible to do that in SQL Server 2005?

I have around 500 packages (SQL 2005) deployed in file system & all this packages are running on daily basis via SQL agent. Now I need to migrated all 500 packages into SQL server 2008 R2.
There is no inventory to track which package belogs to which team and any other information.

This error occurs when there is cryptographic error. Verify that the correct key is available.
If I have 2 scheduled tasks set for the same time (perhaps accidentally), will the SQL Executive start 1 and queue the other one until the first is complete and then run the 2nd task? Or will they both be started simultaneously?
I have been running the following production job successfully for a long time. It now fails, and the Task History Last Error Message displays 'No Message'. The log file ( C:MSSQLLOGMaint_TombV50.txt) shows it ran successfully, with a Return Code 0.

Hi, I am using Windows 2000 and created around 15 scheduled tasks. My scheduled tasks supposed to run every morning. I have to set password to first scheduled tasks every morning; otherwise none of the scheduled tasks works. As soon as i put password in the scheduled tasks, other tasks work fine.
