XML Validation Error Detected On The Target Service. How To Keep And Save The Original Wrong XML Message?

Hello,
I have a message that is validated using a schema.
If I send the message that is not compliant with the schema, the message is not enqueued on the target queue but it is send back to the Initiator queue and the message_body contains the description of the Error.
On the Initiator queue I have activated a SP that is I used to end the conversation and log the error.
One of the information that I need to log is the original XML message that causes the validation error so I can check it.
It seems that in the moment I'm on this SP, activated when there is something on the Initiator queue I have no memory of the original message or at least I'm not able to find it.
Any hints/helps??

I am trying to capture the rows that fail during an insert.
The insert is an OLE DB command component.
I have config'd errors to redirect to a flat file.
My problem is this
I need to override the identity, fine if you are using 'fast load' but then you can't capture the redirected rows.
So I am using the regular 'table or view' data access mode, but then I lose the 'keep identity' checkbox.
At this point I add in another OLE DB command "SET IDENTITY_INSERT table OFF" before the actual insert ODB component.
But now it won't validate. I changed the task 'delay validation' property to true, but still it is failing.
It seemingly cannot detect this statement.
So how then can I capture error rows from an insert where I need to switch the identity off?

how can i make a customized error message for a wrong input of parameters?
let's say i have a parameter which requires user input of companyID and it should compose of all numbers only. if not followed an error message will be prompted to the user... "please enter numbers only..." or something like that...
please... just wondering if its possible...

Hi All,
I have created an application using service broker.i have a source database which in a particular server say server A and want to send message to target database which is in another server say server B.
i have configured all the service broker objects and advanced service broker objects in correct way by reffering the site --http://www.sqlservercentral.com/columnists/sindukuri/2797.asp
but when i am trying to send message from my source server to target server , i am getting the following error in sys.transmission_queue.
Connection attempt failed with error: '10061(No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.)'.
I have enabled the tcp port in both the server.
Note-My source server is an XP and Target Server is an windows server 2003.
can anybody please tell do i need to set any extra configuration in windows server 2003 or any thing do l need to do which i have left.

So i am trying to make a simple database and with one table and use a gui to make rows.
When i run the program in debug mode it creates a new copy of my DB in the debug folder and saves only their, i cannot find a way to save back to the original DB no matter what i do including changing the Copy to Output Directory.
Now the more i try to fix this the more new DB it creates one in the Release Folder, one in the bin/Debug/bin/Debug
one in bin/Release/bin/Release.
I am going crazy trying to scoure the entire project looking for someplace i can fix this.
All i want is to create a DB and be able to make changes to it and only it.
Does anyone have any solutions to this?

Hi all,
I am new in SSIS. Anyone know how to valify number of record that I load from csv file to SQL database table?
For example, the source file call product.csv and target table in database named DSS table name PRODUCT. I load data from flat file to table then I need verification if count between source and target not match send e-mail to me.

One of my customers' SQL Server 2005 databases, which was set up to receive messages from another SQL Server 2005 database on another server has been re-installed by the customer and now the message passing no longer works. After recreating the End Point and re-enabling the Service Broker on the target database, I am now getting messages in the SQL Server error log.
An error occurred in the service broker message dispatcher, Error: 15581 State: 3.
and
Error: 9644, Severity 16, State: 14.
The two errors repeat alternately ad nauseum.
Running a trace on the target database server, for the Broker:Message Undeliverable, gives an endless stream of these entries:
This message could not be delivered because an internal error (code 15581, state 3) was encountered while processing it. Check the error log for more information.
Any ideas on how to fix this system?

Hi All -
There are times when I need to disable Reporting Services, which I do by stopping the ReportServer application pool service in IIS, temporarily. During these times if a user attempts to access reporting services they get the default Sevice Unavailable error message. I would like to create a custom Service Unavailabile message. Does anyone know how I can do this?

We have changed the Network Domain name of a SQL server and restarted before changing any of the settings in SQL server. When we now try to start the SQL server service manager we get the following error
Your SQL server is either corrupt or has been tampered with. Unknown package id please rerun setup
Any suggestions on how to get the SQL server back on line without having to take the server down and changing the Netowrk Domain Name back ??

This program gets the values of A and B passed in. They are for table columns DXID and CODE. The textbox GET1 is initialized to B when the page is loaded. When I type another value in GET1 and try to save it, the original initialized value gets saved and not the new value I just typed in. A literal value, like "222" saves but the new GET1.TEXT doesn't.

I created a XML SCHEMA and MESSAGE TYPE with VALIDATION = VALID_XML WITH SCHEMA COLLECTION.
I thought this would validate the message send with the schema. but when I try to send the message with a different xml, the message is send. there were no errors. Is there something I did not set?

Help, Had configuration error trying to set up reporting services. Uninstalled SQL Server and Reinstalled, but not all files were removed. How many files and directories do I have to remove to get Reporting Services to work?

I have almost finished to design my Service Broker application and I found out something strange.
I was tring to handle the Target queue disabled scenario, because I want to save to message that was not sent so I can create an alert to the user to say that some messages as not been sent.
To disable to queue I run:
Alter queue [dbo].[Receivedqueue] with status = off
I had the Event Viewer in front of me and I have seen the suddenly it appeared a lot of this informational events:

What this message means?
I would like to avoid to have it because it appears a lot of time and I don't want to fill up my Event Viewer!!
I don't know of it is important but in the moment I executed the code there was not CONVERSING conversation and all the queues were empty.
Somebody has seen this error before or I have to send to the forum the [dbo].[OnReceived] code as well?

How to prevent the hang on the initator service broker if the target service broker is not started?
Our case has two service brokers (two databases), sometime, the target is need to turn off. But the sitation is the initator service broker (in fact, the message is sent from triggers) become hang, I want to prevent this case and continue to operation, and the messages should queue and will continue to send to target service broker when it startup. How should I do?

I am creating a queue application using Service broker. I was able to send and receieve messages between 2 databases in the same instance. Now I am trying to communicate b/w 2 different instances. I am getting the following error...

When we try to run aggregation or purge queries on some tables
we are getting following message:
" error [I/O error (bad page ID) detected during read at offset 0x000001ad65a000 in file 'E:MSSQL2KDataGenesys_DataMartGenesys_Datamart.mdf '. Severity 24, State 2, Procedure 'PWMGENESYSDB1 n u! ll', Line 1]"
After this we executed DBCC CHECKDB. Attaching the output obtained after executing this command, to fix these errors we executed DBCC repair_allow_data_loss. I am attaching output for this also. Pls go thru the logs and pls let me know what could be the problem and how it can be addressed.

I am trying to send a message between to SQL Server 2005 instances on two different machines. I have checked all my routes and all my objects appear to be setup correctly. In the SP1 update of SSIS there was a call from the SSIS service that would attempt to validate itself against the http://crl.microsoft.com web site. If the SSIS service didn't have access to the internet then it would timeout and not start the service. In our company we have our development systems behind a firewall which only allows for limited internet access due to it being a development system.
Does the installation of SP2 remove this authentication restriction?

Did anyone familiar with these errors:
SQL Server detected a logical consistency-based I/O error: incorrect checksum (expected: 0x1a00d2fd; actual: 0x1a02d2fd). It occurred during a read of page (1:103329) in database ID 11 at offset 0x00000032742000 in file 'C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL.1MSSQLDATAServer02.mdf'. Additional messages in the SQL Server error log or system event log may provide more detail. This is a severe error condition that threatens database integrity and must be corrected immediately. Complete a full database c (Source: MSSQLServer, Error number: 824)

Issue #1 I have a report that takes 8 character parameter, A error message needs to popped out if user enters parameter less than 8 character.
Issue #2 I have a report with Tablix. A message needs to display if Tablix returns no Rows.

If I have an asp page with a button, what are the means or methods to trigger the event to process a report, save into a report and store in a file server or any directory? All these is done backend without the need to display to the browser.
Using RS Web services or Delivery extension programming things like that?

I have to access a web service where I pass in a product number and it produces an XML result with an /image section where it has a long string (base64?) Â Â I am trying to call the web service and save the image to the OS.
I am trying to get the result into a variable and save it to disk with  the itemno.jpg as the name
This is a sample file I get back..

I simply made my script task (or any other task) fail
In my package error handler i have a Exec SQL task - for Stored Proc
SP statement is set in following expression (works fine in design time):

And how did I get 4 errors? - I only set my script task result to failure

Hi,
I have a small problem with my two databases ( A and B ).
On database A I have a queue set up for receiving messages from a service broker which are sent via a stored procedure from database B ...
Each time a message hits the queue on database A I would like to run a stored procedure that takes the message and actions it.
I have my stored procedures in place but can't figure out how to trigger a procedure each time a message is received. I have read this ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms171601.aspx ) but would really appreciate someone posting an example of setting up queue activation.

I have an app receiving messages from SQL Service Broker when data is updated. (Messages are located at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.data.sqlclient.sqlnotificationinfo.aspx )
When I run this app against a remote SQL Server, I receive the message "Updated" which I expect.
But when I run the same app against the local machine SQL Server, I receive the message "Options".
Does anyone know if there are SQL Server options that must be set to certain values?
I can't seem to find anything that troubleshoots this message... either from a SQLServer- or a .NET standpoint.

I want to send notification to SSRS on change in database for that I am using SSB to send message to SQL Server Reporting Services.
Can I use SSB and if yes, how? Please guide me I am new to this.
