Nvidia Driver Crashes / Then PC Restarts And Get Critical Kernel-Power
Oct 27, 2015I have been getting these nvidia driver crashes, where the monitor turns off by itself and then recovers and I can continue using it normally, but lately the drivers just crash and a few moments after, the PC reboots on its own but fails to turn on the monitor, which forces me to do a manual reboot. After the manual reboot, I go to Event Viewer and find these errors: Critical, Event ID 41, Source Kernel-Power. Error, Event ID 3, Source Kernel-EventTracing.

Computer Reboots 2 Minutes After Log On - Critical Kernel Power / Event ID 41
Aug 30, 2015Every time I've logged into my account on my PC, it has rebooted (without showing any error message or crash screen) after a few minutes or so.
Opening event viewer, it shows event ID 41 at the time of reboot - the event before that is an event ID 6 stating "File System Filter 'FileCrypt' (10.0, ?2015?-?07?-?10T04:14:31.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager." - I have never heard of filecrypt, the other events are all legitimate ones associated with the system booting up.
I have attempted booting in safe mode using msconfig, but that doesn't seem to work. So far, the only thing that works is by switching to an account that's barely used, where the computer runs perfectly well with no crashes.
I suspect a virus, but I haven't downloaded anything dodgy recently, and Avira (free) hasn't found anything either ...

BSOD From Kernel Power 41
Aug 22, 2015I have been having problems with bsods, and I found out it is kernel power 41. Here are my specs
4690k stock
980ti evga acx+
1000w evga supernova g2
z-97 a asus
cooler master 212 evo
Windows 10 operating system (legit)
temps never go over 70 for cpu and 80 for gpu
Happens after 2-4 hours of playing intensive games (GTA V, Battlefield 4, etc.)
tried sfc /scannow, no errors. I also reverted all my bios settings.
I think I have a driver problem.
BSOD :: Critical Process Died - Sporadic Crashes
Sep 13, 2015For the past week or so I've been getting intermittent CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED blue screens. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary and they seemed to just start popping up out of nowhere.
A couple things of note. After they started happening I tried creating new installation media for windows to try to repair windows if that was the issue. Every time I tried running the Media Creation Tool from MS it would crash before doing anything.
I ended up getting it on another computer and ran through repairing windows, but that didn't fix the issue.
Also, the crashes seem to not write the memory dump file, even though it's set up to do a complete memory dump.
If I can't sort it out I'll do a complete reinstall of windows, but I'd prefer avoiding that if possible, though it's not the end of the world.

I run amd processor + amd graphic card, so I've catalyst control and since some days got the latest big win 10 update and amd radeon software -the first amd radeon came as update of catalyst control, but it missed the setting to modify the amount of energy taken by pc in relation to power of it, so I reinstalled latest version of catalyst control i had, and some days ago got another autoupdate of it-.
Since then (the win10update) I'm getting every now and then bsod with different errors, at the end of loading of it tho, pc doesnt reboot automatically and forces me to reset/shutdown. Latest error has been kernel security check failure one.
Other than this, weirdly (b4 the events mentioned in prologue) when I open perfectworld(a mmorpg)+league of legends screen freezes, I get a ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ as sound and Im forced to reset or shutdown.

Jan 16, 2016I used to have kernel security check failures a few times when I opened Photoshop, but that stopped happening for whatever reason. Now, though, I'm having it happen at completely random times (I can't find a common factor), and increasingly more (Already had 2 crashes in the past 2 hours).

Nov 28, 2015My computer will randomly crash with the "Kernel security check failure error" and I have run driver reviver that scans for outdated drivers.I then used this information to manually install some missing pci drivers however i'm still getting the error. What is causing the BSOD?

Jan 8, 2016My PC will randomly reboot when in the middle of any video game. It has not happened while I am not in a game (from what I can remember). It goes to a straight black screen, so no BSOD.
My CPU is running no hotter than 45 Celsius. It has only happened after being ran for 2 hours or more. There is NO error message upon shutdown/reboot, and I also ran a virus scan with MalwareBytes and found nothing. Event Viewer shows the "Kernel-Power 41 (63)" error.
After the reboot, it goes to my lock screen with no error message. It also loads everything on my desktop/taskbar abnormally slow.
The only thing new before the issue:
-Gigabyte Gaming 7 Motherboard
-Intel i7 4790k
-NZXT Phantom 530 (Case)
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (CPU Cooler)

System Randomly Shutting Down (Kernel Power Event 41 - Task Category 63)
Oct 5, 2015My computer keeps randomly restarting. and it is giving me no BSOD error at all either.
It started happening today only, and it seems to happen more when i'm gaming/my video card is under some stress.
When i go into microsoft event viewer and look at critical error messages I have
kernal power event id 41- task category 63 and driverframework 10110 event id errors.

Aug 29, 2015Prior to upgrading to Windows 10, my system was running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. When running my previous OS (WIN 7) I rarely had errors listed in Event Viewer. Now after upgrading to Windows 10, I get errors/warnings I never used to get under Windows 7.
The error is of the "Critical" level in Event Viewer.
After doing a normal shutdown, and then booting my system, I check Event Viewer and always find the following critical error:
"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

I never used to get this error after doing a normal shutdown (prior to upgrade to Windows 10, when I was on Windows 7). Now it happens all the time. Why this error is occurring after doing a normal shutdown followed by a boot?
I suspect it's a glitch with the first production release of Windows 10, but I have no proof of that. My system runs fine, yet I get the above error (and a number of other errors) since I upgraded to Windows 10.
BSOD :: Repair Loop Critical Process Died
Sep 4, 2015Firstly, I can't generate the dumpfile as I can't access windows at all. I can't access it through any boot options including safe mode.
I've recently upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 through the microsoft updater.
The only major thing I did before this happened was installing the AMD CCC and rebooting, which caused this loop. I actually reinstalled it as switchable graphics wasn't working.
Things I've tried - 1. Automatic Repair - doesn't work. txt file in srt folder says the OS version is not compatible even if I use the Windows 10 usb.
2. chkdsk /f /r - it fixed a bunch of things, there seemed to be a lot of problems but now it says that there is no problems and no further action is required.
3. Fixing and rewriting bcd files - This was the interesting part because my computer some how changed the C: to D: and created a new C:. I've reassigned it so that original C: is renamed back to C: and removed the new C: partition which only had the boot files in it and reformed all the bcd files in original C:
4. I can't run sfc /scanow. It doesn't work with any commands I found over the internet.
5. Other things I found were that if I tried to reset the computer while keeping the files, it doesn't allow me to do it. Also, I found out that some of my drivers were missing by using devcon - graphics (both integrated intel, dedicated radeon m6740) some sound cards, single usb driver. Also when I installed thne integrated intel graphics driver through pnputil, when I restart the computer, the driver disappears and comes up with code 28 again.
I don't mind doing a fresh install but only if I am able to access my current hd files and create a backup, which hopefully should be possible because I can access the files through cmd prompt in WindowsRE.
BSOD :: Critical Process Died For Disk At 100% On Start Up
Aug 17, 2015I upgraded my computer to Windows 10 from 8.1. After around a week of using Windows 10, each time I turned on my computer, I get a blue screen saying that the computer will restart. Like in the following picture.
Once it restarts, I can a log in and everything is fine. Except for one thing. When I open task manager, it says that my disk is filled at 100%, and the main program that is causing this is called "system".
I tried to increase the virtual memory, as seen in the next picture (I have 8GB of RAM by the way)
But that still does not seem to work. I downloaded seatools and it says that it is not a disk failure. Is there a possible correlation between the Critical_Process_Died startup page and the 100% disk usage?

Dec 16, 2015Several times since Windows 10 has been updated (see attached file) I have received a "Critical_process_died" notification. Sometimes at startup & at least one time during normal browsing. Have talked with a local computer shop about various problems & he suggested a clean install. BSOD :: No Apparent Reason - Critical Structure Corruption
Aug 26, 2015My computer was working fine with Windows 10... but has developed a BSOD issue. I can't think of any changes I've made/programs installed etc, though this is likely the cause. I've run SFC /Scannow along with dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth &dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Everything says it's fine... but I'm still crashing. I've attached a copy of the file created as requested... but I'm very much at my wits end.

BSOD :: Critical Process Died Error Listed
Dec 16, 2015Recently while using the internet my computer experienced a BSOD which listed the Critical Process Died as the error. Before this happened my computer kept popping up with a message I believe was saying that the display adapter driver crashed and then was recovered. It should also be mentioned that I recently upgraded my system with a new graphics card, after my old one died, and with a new case. That was my first time ever doing something like that, so I wouldn't be surprised if that could be a problem.

Apr 14, 2016I tend to get a BSOD when working in visual studio, often when doing something requiring heavy processing but occasionally simple things. The BSOD simply says CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. In googling, it seems that might be a driver error. I tried running the verifydriver, following the directions of a windows post I found, which caused the computer to bluescreen before loading windows every time with a driver error that did not specify a specific driver that caused the problem. I'm hoping that will be somewhere in the minidump that should be within the attachment (created by following the posting directions). I was not able to figure out from the minidump what driver might specifically be the problem, if I'm even barking up the right tree about a driver issue in the first place. There doesn't appear to be any minidump from the critical process errors unfortunately.
