Jan 27, 2016I have 7 "Favorites" listed in Chrome. Is there a way to transfer just these 7 to Internet Explorer? These two are installed on a Dell tablet running Windows 10. I thought it would be easier than going back and forth typing the websites. (Not using Edge).

Sep 22, 2015I think after one of the accumulative updates Windows Explorer started to open MSN in my default browser. This is very annoying.
I've tested my theory by restarting Windows Explorer from the task manager. Of course restarting the computer. Disable Automatic startup of Microsoft OneDrive. I scanned my System with Malwarebytes, nothing was found.

Feb 10, 2016sometimes when you are looking for stuff and you reach a site you are presented with a whole confusing array of download buttons, install applications or whatever really hiding the actual download you want - sites like DriverMax come to mind for example.Finally Google is going to try and tidy up this lot -- about time too.The confusing downloads can often lead to people installing all sorts of unwanted spyware, PUPS, viruses etc etc.
I consider myself as reasonably experienced - but sometimes I've found it incredibly hard to get the actual download I'm after having navigated through endless traps of arrows etc to spurious links.Note Torrentfreak is a perfectly 100% legitimate News site so no illegal software being offered. !!!!
Browser/Email :: Creating Desktop Shortcut To Website When Using MS Edge
Aug 2, 2015When using any version of IE Explorer, when viewing a webpage and want to create a desktop shortcut to that webpage I would simply right click just about anywhere on the webpage and select Create Desktop Shortcut from the drop-down Menu and Presto a new icon shortcut would appear on the desktop.
However, when using MS- Edge, when I Right Click on any webpage all I get is a small drop down-down menu with no selection to create a Desktop Shortcut. I have tried every which way to create a Desktop Shortcut of something I am viewing when using Edge to no avail.

Nov 19, 2015Had many many compatibility problems with windows 10. HP have been brilliant. I have to use firefox now because 10 doesn't like chrome. It doesn't like avg either.
anyway, I recently had a hip replacement and have other medical issues. I desperately need to send a document that i scanned on my phone to the google drive on my new laptop.
I have the same issue with sending myself an email of my personal spreadsheets.
simply put I have gone from vista to 10, I am trying to teach myself. I use firefox now with settings to gmail. I have downloaded adobe file reader, but no matter what i do i cannot email anything using my gmail email. I do not want to use outlook
Browser/Email :: Firefox Keeps Closing
Feb 10, 2016The last 2 days FF keeps closing after 1-2mins.
I don't even get the crash report now it just closes and upon opening it takes me the restore session.
I have done a fresh install of it deleting all known traces of FF and although better it still closes but now maybe after 7-10 mins.
I'm running Win10 Pro (clean install)
I tried to do a system restore to roll back 3 days but I get an error saying it couldn't complete the restore.
I have done a full system scan with defender that took around 10-12 hours but all came back clear.
I'm using edge for now but really would like to get FF back.

Jan 7, 2016Using FF in this forum, Right click on a dropdown item (like Forum Actions, Quick Links) does not have an option to open in new tab, like Chrome for example. But, you can drag/drop the dropdown choice to the New Tab "+" on the open tabs bar, and it will open. Maybe this is old news, just wanted to pass it on..

Dec 14, 2015I didn't like the Firefox Search Bar. I rarely used it. It takes up valuable real estate that can be used by other ADD-ONS Icons.
I Just do my searches directly in Bing or Google.
To remove the Firefox Search Bar (this actually just moves it and stores it away, you can bring it back),
-Click on the upper right menu icon (three lines).
-Click CUSTOMIZE
-Left Click, Hold and Drag the Firefox Search Bar down to the Additional Tools and Features area. It will be saved there in case you want to bring it back.
-Click EXIT CUSTOMIZE.
The Firefox Search Bar is now gone and the space can be used to add additional ADD-ONS Icons.

Jan 4, 2016Don't have this issue with Chrome or IE. When using FF (latest), any reply to a post on any thread here does NOT clear after posting the reply. I clear cache, history, cookies, everything and still "remembers" last reply entry.

Oct 7, 2015I am using Windows 10 Pro X64 official and Mozilla Firefox.
For some reason my Firefox browser is always lagging.
Chrome works fine though.
When I open a new tab, the browser starts lagging, when I open multiple tabs it's lagging a lot.
Click a link -> Start lagging.
Why is this happening? Had the same thing on Windows 7 but the lags seems more in Windows 10.

Feb 10, 2016I install yesterday xmark for IE and I merge bookmarks from both browsers : firefox-explorer. Can I restore original bookmarks of explorer? Also I work to a second pc with win 10. Some how appears and in IE 11 some bookmarks that I try to delete but after restart appears again. I try to delete with right click or delete the folder of favourite in my pc but every time reappears.

I've scanned for virus' & malware w/ Malwarebytes & Defender. Also used McAfee Stinger. No problems found. Is there a setting inside Windows 10 that prohibits the homepage from being changed?

Dec 18, 2015I have always had shortcuts pinned to my Firefox icon in my taskbar like windows 10 forum,the login for my work place, you tube,ETC.but the short cuts are gone on my windows 32 they are still on my win.64 ..When I drag a short to my win.32 Firefox Icon in taskbar it says pen to Firefox but it don't pin to it. I miss having the shorts there is there any other way to pin them to my Firefox Icon in the taskbar.

Mar 5, 2016I cannot get the My yahoo site to load on either IE or Firefox. It's supposed to be my home page and has all my bookmarks on it. I can get to Yahoo mail and sports, but the home page can't be displayed. Firefox said it was on another server and the path couldn't be completed.

Dec 6, 2015At work I extensively use a Flash-based control panel provided by one of my company's business partners. I typically run Firefox to display it.
I've recently switched to 4K monitor and the panel has become unreadable as the font size is constantly the same as in my previous (1920x1080 resolution), meaning way too small to be easily read in 4K resolution unless using a magnifying glass...
I'm aware of the fact Flash objects are virtually impossible to customize, but noticed a surprising thing when run the panel in Internet Explorer (v. 11.11.10586) - it actually gets resized together with a page and this applies to panel font too! At the same the panel displayed in Firefox is completely immune to any size changes, just other elements (non-Flash) of the page can be increased/decreased.
