Not sure if this is a MS issue. Default zoom setting for Edge is 125% but Outlook email is suddenly really tiny in size despite Edge showing 125%. The right hand 30% of the screen is now just empty white space. If I change it to 100% and back to 125% then it corrects until I close and reopen Edge. No other tabs are affected.
View 6 RepliesYesterday mid-day my Edge browser screen-font-size suddenly went from "normal" to miniscule.At the time I was reading info on a sports web-site. Just prior to that my touch-pad (ASUS laptop) suddenly reverted to having the touch-pad feature "TAP" as ON, and because I have a small shake in my hand, this feature most-often causes problems.
When I converted from Win 8.1 to Win10 a few weeks ago I immediately searched for and found the option (under ASUS Smart Gesture app) and turned all TAP features off. It worked fine until yesterday. I searched for possible solutions and discovered I could not access ASUS Smart Gesture, so I re-installed it- that feature is now turned off again, but I cannot get Edge to display in normal font-size. That's the only place it occurs
In the last day or two, I noticed that the font size and style on the vast majority of websites that I visit has been changed, and it's not a good change! It looks like Times New Roman now, and though I don't know what the font style was before, I know it wasn't this.
Also, what a typical web font size is, but it seems that the size now is probably somewhere in the 8-10 point range. Nothing has changed in my settings that I'm aware of - at least I'm not the one that made any change. I currently have zoom to 250% which is what is recommended for this Dell XPS 13. That's what it's always been set at, and everything looked fine before. Almost everything from Google, to Facebook - you name it - is displaying this new font style and size.
Given command for print in Edge is opening the Print Dialogue Box on full page (screenshot attached).
Sometimes the the taskbar overlap the print button. Is there a way to open this box in small size.
I use Outlook to receive contracts and sign them in Adobe. My mail now opens in microsoft edge and it will not give me the option to sign and send back. I have tried to change my browser it will not correct Outlook mail.
View 2 RepliesWhen I look at "My accounts" in Outlook, it`s showing wrong e-mail address in the title. It shows my xxxx@gmail.com, but when I send mail from this account, it`s being sent from the right account xxx@outlook.com. I`m also signed in with my Outlook.com account on Windows.
View 1 RepliesI just went to use the Mail app in Windows 10 for the first time and noticed that a lot of my emails are being displayed in a weird way, mostly with images. Most notably with youtube emails:
Ex. 1 : (personal info has been 'oranged' out). n entire third of the screen is being used by a single line of text (also some words at the bottom of the email) that should really just be directly beneath the 'YouTube' logo banner.
This problem is exacerbated when the app is made smaller with window mode. Is this just normal for the Mail app, or is there a way to make emails and images display 'correctly'?
I have been using Windows Live Mail for years and have 3 email accounts synced in it. After some recent changes to my PC, the program is suddenly very slow to change between email folders. What I mean specifically is if I click on one inbox, and then click on my deleted folder, there is literally a 5 second delay before the view is switched to the new folder. This has never happened before, it normally take mere milliseconds to change between my email folders. Switching between any folders at all, even if they are empty, takes 5 seconds!!
As for the changes made to my pc, I recently was screwing around with my drive partitions and made a really stupid mistake. I accidentally created a new volume which took up my whole secondary HDD (not my OS drive, but where my emails are stored). Some quick google searching got me a free software that recovered my partitions and after a quick reboot my PC appeared to be working fine again. Except for Windows Live Mail... which when I opened had lost all my email accounts. I re-added them, and for some reason they started to download all my emails from the internet and wouldn't recognize the mail folders where all my emails are stored on my secondary hard drive.
It took over an hour to download all the emails again, which were stored in the default location on my OS drive. I normally keep them on a secondary HDD to save space on my OS SSD, so I was forced to delete all the emails on my secondary HDD where I normally keep them and then direct Windows Live Mail to move all the emails it had just downloaded to the location I just deleted my emails from.
So at the end of the day I made a really dumb mistake, fixed it, and then had to do this weird workaround solution to get my email storage working the way I am used to. All this screwing around now when I use my email it is super slow to switch between folders...
I have already tried doing a full defrag of the drive where my email is stored, as well as a repair of windows live essentials from the control panel. I have heard that addons can cause problems like this in WLM but until today I didn't even know WLM had addons. What I can do before I try reinstalling Windows Live Mail. If I do that I will have to re-download all my emails again...

Firefox keep telling me the Add_on needs to be updated (when check for update), but when I install it claims I already have the latest version !

My laptop is displaying the wrong thumbnails after i upgrade to windows 10. When you open the file explorer and preview an file the next file your going to preview will be same thumbnail to the first one even the other files.

I did not give anyone my gmail address but for some reason I started to get a lot of my email from friends who have my Outlook address. I even got some of the junk mail on gmail. I then shut down my gmail account as I don't like it. Then I noticed that I wasn't getting much email. So I opened my gmail account and there were dozens of email messages there. Here's my problem. I want to close my gmail account but then I'll miss all of the messages that will go there. My question is. How can I stop messages from going to the gmail?
View 6 RepliesI am having trouble configuring Outlook 2010 on a new Windows 10 Pro clean install so that mail from multiple Gmail and Comcast accounts all go into 1 PST file. I would like to have 1 inbox for all 5 email accounts.
Even when I use "Manually configure Server settings" and specify an existing PST on D:Outlook, Outlook creates a new PST file on C:Users(My Username)AppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlook.
I have my own domain's email which uses Outlook itself. I can login via Live.com or Outlook.com and it works fine but I am unable to set it up via Outlook 2016.
Microsoft has provided me the following mail configuration in the Outlook.com settings:
Server name: pop-mail.live.com
Port: 995
Encryption method: SSL
Server name: smtp-mail.live.com
Port: 587
Encryption method: TLS
But when I use this I get the following error ....

run sfc /scannow it runs about 15 minuets after completion, close command window reopen outlook and you will now be able to run outlook
I'm running Windows 10 on a desktop (64bit). For some reason some of the keyboard buttons are displaying the wrong item when holding down the shift button.
E.G.the@button shows"and the"button shows@ ....
There are other buttons doing exactly the same.
Since installing the November Windows 10 update (11/17/15) none of my favorites are being stored in the default Edge folder. While in Edge the favorites are available but when I go to the default folder they are not listed. Is there another location they may be being saved or has my default location somehow been changed? My AppData folder shows a creation date of 11/17/15 with no modifications being made in favorites since that date.

I google the result, someone said uninstall all current Microsoft Visual C++ installations, i have never install Microsoft Visual C++ installations.
My mail and calendar apps have just suddenly disappeared. I've tried the uninstall trick using powershell and reinstall but still missing the apps. I've also tried a sfc /scannow but no luck. The Microsoft Store reports the apps as installed.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro v1511.

Using Mail for Win 10 for first time, as that is what appeared for my Outlook email account. I found today that when using either CC or BCC a 'Return' occurs immediately after entering an email address, thereby moving the cursor to the line below, requiring moving the cursor back to that original line so that another email address can be entered, and again and again.. Never saw this before so probably/hopefully a fix is coming.
While typing an email I touched the Caps Lock key mid-sentence and typed one capital letter in error. I touched that key turning off the caps lock function and the light went off. But from that point on I could only type in CAPS regardless of what I did. I had to close email and restart it to have it return to normal.
How do you pin Outlook web app to your taskbar on pc? I was able to do this in windows 7 but I can't remember how? I also sent a password for my nieces Outlook through Viber and when I click on it on my smartphone and it took me straight to my Outlook account. Have I now compromised myself to hackers?
View 2 RepliesI am having a problem whereby my default browser keeps changing from IE11 back to either Edge or blank. Why this might be happening or what program is causing it to change? I thought it maybe the Windows Auto Update that keep changing but am now not so sure of that since the last recorded update is back on 14th January and my default Browser got changed again last evening.
The only other programs that run regularly are Norton Internet Security and Norton Utilities. However, I have been through the settings of both of those programs and cannot detect anything that would indicate that they change the default Browser.
Also, in IE11 under the advanced tab I have ticked the option the "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser" and yet (a) I do not get a notification and (b) the default browser keeps getting changed.
I've looked and looked and cannot find a way to change default font and size in the mail app. Is there a way or registry hack or what???
View 2 RepliesSo we have these tools that need elevated rights within IE to install correctly. In windows 7 we always did the right click, run as admin thing. However, now after the upgrade and Edge there seems to be no availability to run it as admin. Tried all the icons & right click that I can find for Edge but not getting the option anywhere.Tried also with the Edge app from /Windows/Systemapps and it didnt give the option either. Of course if I go back to IE it allows me..
View 9 RepliesEdge is a great browser! However one thing I really miss from IE is having my favorites sidebar always visible at all times. With Edge you have to select it EACH TIME and pin it to the window display. This becomes a real pain and seems unnecessary. Is it possible to configure the favorite's sidebar to be always on by default? A real extra would be to have it on the left hand side again like IE which seemed to have this facility/capability just right. The horizontal favorites across the top is useless because so few are visible. (No luck with other forums) else I'm going back to IE.
