Apr 14, 2016When I have a bunch of tabs open & click on the "+" on the top right of the screen to open a new tab. In the lower part of the screen it reflects the new tab, but when I look in the tab row, I do not see the new tab.
If I try to scroll over to the right, I cannot because the right tab arrow is greyed out, however if I click on Left tab arrow once, then the right tab arrow goes from greyed out to white & I can click on it.

Oct 30, 2015the go back button on edge doesn't seem to have the ability to, when you click and hold on it, see many of the previous pages, so you can go back more than one page per click.

Jan 23, 2016I am having a problem whereby my default browser keeps changing from IE11 back to either Edge or blank. Why this might be happening or what program is causing it to change? I thought it maybe the Windows Auto Update that keep changing but am now not so sure of that since the last recorded update is back on 14th January and my default Browser got changed again last evening.
The only other programs that run regularly are Norton Internet Security and Norton Utilities. However, I have been through the settings of both of those programs and cannot detect anything that would indicate that they change the default Browser.
Also, in IE11 under the advanced tab I have ticked the option the "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser" and yet (a) I do not get a notification and (b) the default browser keeps getting changed.

Dec 1, 2015I was quite surprised at the lack of some of the basic features of Microsoft Edge that have been found in IE for years that are critical in my mind. One of these is the ability to have a drop down list on both the back and forward buttons in the browser to be able to quickly go to a page you've visited without having to click through each individual page.
I was hoping that Edge would get that feature in some of the updates that have taken place, including this most recent November update, but it hasn't happened yet. In the meantime, it's looking more and more like I'll return to IE.

Oct 19, 2015up until last night, I've been using iexplorer instead of the new Edge browser because the latter does not have the options for ignoring font size and fonts that were in the IE settings- my eyes are old and can't read the small fonts and font-sizes that seem typical in many web-sites.But this morning, IExplorer no longer works: I get the following error. This application was unable to start correctly 0x000018. Click Ok to close.My first thought was to re-install IExplorer, but I get a message when I tried that IExplorer cannot be installed on Windows 10.

Dec 17, 2015I managed to see my friends Windows 10, Home edition, manage to get another problem now.
I did try to change the default browser i.e. change Windows Edge to Internet explorer.
However when I clicked on change browser, internet explorer was chosen, nothing seem to have changed, all I seen was edge browser.
There was no IE11 in the open All Apps.
When I went to Microsoft webpage to download internet explorer 11 a message said I have the latest Internet explorer installed.... still cant get internet explorer to become default web browser.

Feb 10, 2016I successfully installed 14257; however, I have nothing but problems with it. I cannot get Internet explorer to work. It freezes up, cannot use the back or forward arrow, cannot change addresses, and at one time I received an error message saying something about a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error message. I looked in my installed application files, Visual C++ is there, I ran a 'repair' on it, and the repair reported it installed without problems. I also cannot open most of the windows applications (Edge, Feedback, etc) then I cannot open any applications as the 'window' button freezes up. I have been able to run sfc /scannow, which reports no issues found and all system files are intact. I am destined to scrap the insider preview on this computer. It works on my laptop but the laptop is too slow and cumbersome to use. while Internet explorer will not work, it does open and I can view web pages but only those that are already on MSN (my home page). I cannot resize IE, nor can I move it anywhere else on the desktop.
Update: I went to Microsoft, downloaded Visual Studio C++ for Windows 10 that didn't get installed. The install seems to have corrected my problems. I can now open IE, EDGE, Feedback, and my start button works again.

Oct 13, 2015I have 1 desktop and 2 All In Ones which I am trying to configure to W10. I just changed the desktop to IE using the switch under the three dots where it says open with IE. I tried to do the same with this AIO and that switch doesn't work. I attempted to reset the default from Edge to IE but I can't find a IE default.

Sep 27, 2015This seems to be happening to quite a few people on Windows 10 it seems. It has started happening to me too lately. It happens when, say, I have one tab open to the forums, and I open another to get an image from Bing Images to make a point, or just for fun(those who know me, know what I mean, when I use GIF's), I download the image fine, then either switch tabs back or close the Images tab, then BAM: "IE has stopped working collecting information".
So I looked at the crash logs in Reliability History, and found out that it's iertutil.dll that seems to be the culprit:
Normally that could mean either the .dll is corrupted and needs to be replaced, OR, somehow got moved to the wrong place(accidentally drag & dropped while "surfing" File Explorer, happens to me sometimes), and needs to be moved back.
So I tried going into File Explorer and and searching the Windows folder. After about 8 minutes it was still searching (Hello! I have a Samsung 850 Pro I expect a little more speed !!!) . So I opened up UltraSearch, pasted "iertutil.dll" in and immediately got this:
as you can see, the path(s) are correct, but I see there are a few WinSxS files also. There could be a possible corruption there, is what I'm hoping.
What I'm going to try, is, cleaning out the Side by Side folder so well as I can using Disk Cleanup and the Extreme version of SFC-DISM:

Sep 22, 2015I think after one of the accumulative updates Windows Explorer started to open MSN in my default browser. This is very annoying.
I've tested my theory by restarting Windows Explorer from the task manager. Of course restarting the computer. Disable Automatic startup of Microsoft OneDrive. I scanned my System with Malwarebytes, nothing was found.
