Change Settings For Importing Pictures And Videos?
Aug 29, 2015When I connect an iPhone to my Win10 PC it's importing my photos to a location where I don't want them to go.
How do I change this setting?

I have no interest in using the rubbish "Photos app" to import my pictures.
I want to use the built-in Import Wizard in Windows 10, which can be found by going to "This PC" and right clicking camera/tablet, then clicking "Import Pictures and Videos".
The "Import Pictures and Videos" wizard is vastly superior to the "Photos app" crap. How can I put the "Import Pictures and Videos" option in AutoPlay, like in Windows 7/Vista/XP? If I recall correctly, Windows 8 also had this problem. It had the built-in wizard along with the rubbish "Photos app", but only the "Photos app" appeared in AutoPlay.
Deleting Music / Pictures And Videos Folder From C (User)
Mar 29, 2016Is it ok to delete Music, pictures, and videos folders from C:/Users/user? I recall this not working and having to hack the registry a bit to make it work in Windows 7. How can I do it in Windows 10? I really don't need these folders as I find they just clutter up my file explorer and anyway I choose to store my media elsewhere.

My 'Pictures' folder is now called 'Videos' and I can't rename it back to Pictures again. This is because its a user folder or 'shell' folder I've read. How to change it back?

Networking :: Cannot Change DNS Settings
Dec 21, 2015Trying to add a new DNS IP address. Go to the adapter, go to the IPV4 properties and advanced and add the new DNS IP address. Every thing is fine until I close the adaptor window and it pops up an error "an unexpected condition occurred, not all of your requested changes in settings could be made"... Even if I make no changes at all and just open and close it I get this. Need to set the new DNS as first on the list.

I'm trying to change the settings and I can't changed date/time nor can I access the settings( Start>Settings). When I try and change the settings or date/time I get "This app can't open. Your trial period for this app has expired. Visit the Windows Store. Visit the Windows Store to purchase the full app." When I try to open Windows Store, same thing happens. Date/time is now an app?

Cannot Change Settings - No Response When Options Clicked
Nov 25, 20151. Initially I couldn't open photos on Laptop after I installed Windows 10 3 days ago.
2. Told in Account Settings to Verify account, Clicked on Verify and no response every time.
3. Changed to User account and now cannot change back to Administrator Account.
4. Nothing in my settings will respond when clicked.
Tried troubleshooting links and all sorts though to no avail.

I have been using this particular application for quite some time and today is the first occasion where I decided to give it a go on Windows 10 too. Then came the problem, I realised that the settings to change the system locale ( this is necessary otherwise the chinese characters cannot be displayed) is no longer where it was in Windows 7/8. My father used to use outlook express with an email through his ISP, and the only way I see to import that email into a new account involves being on the computer using outlook express and using the migration tool. Obviously I can't do that since that computer is toast (the motherboard fried).

Dec 26, 2015I'm trying to import all my currentbookmarks from I.E. Explorer into ME.
Google Chrome was the source of my initial bookmarks.
Here are the steps I performed.
1. Went to Google Chrome bookmarkmanager, exported a HTML file of my new bookmarks.
2. Launched Internet Explorer 11.
3. Manually deleted all my oldBookmarks in IE 11.
4. Imported HTML file into IE 11,
5. Launched Microsoft Edge.
6. Imported Bookmarks from IE 11 into Microsoft Edge.
When I examined my Bookmarks in ME, it appears many are missing. Basically, it looks to be an old version of Bookmarks from IE 11 that is being imported into ME.
Any new websites I bookmarked in Chrome within the past 2 year are not showing in ME favorites. I rarely used Internet Explorer as my Browser, and only did a full import 2 years ago. I understand IE 11is not being supported by Microsoft. But how do we get the latestBookmarks into Microsoft Edge after and upgrade if IE is my only bridge.
I tried to import from IE browser into ME browser, but that option has been disabled.
