Aug 18, 2015I just noticed 2 major problems with playing MKV files using the native Movies & TV app in Windows 10 Pro x64 that I'm running.
1. I'm not sure if Windows 10 fully supports MKV files yet but audio from some MKV files couldn't be played with the Movies & TV app. The video plays fine but it's just muted.
2. Enabling subtitles using the built-in feature of the Movies & TV App causes a horrible lag and stutter of the whole MKV video.
Apps :: Adding Media To Groove Music And Movies And TV Apps
Aug 11, 2015I have all my media, music and movies sitting on a ReadyNAS 516 and have the shares mapped to Win 10 just fine. I can access all my media from the OS and other applications just fine. The issue is when I add "where to look" from both Groove Music and Movies and TV app, they never pick up my media and add to the available media for playback.

Dec 12, 2015I have a slight delay when playing music after I haven't touched my laptop for a few minutes. It's as if the HDD goes to sleep and it has to spin up again before it can play the file. Now I know getting a SSD would solve my problem, but I can't afford that right now.
I have set my Hard drive to never go off in the power settings, but it doesn't solve my problem.

Pandora will randomly start playing music. Doesn't matter if the laptop is idle or actively being used, it will start playing.
I've stopped the process multiple times and that hasn't stopped it, even after restarts too.
Computer Crashing While Idling Or Playing Music
Nov 3, 2015It used to only freeze once every few months, but now it seems that it mostly happens when it idles, or when i'm just playing spotify and not doing much. It rarely happens while I game, more when i'm not actually moving the mouse or anything. I have my settings set to never hibernate though, to eliminate that option. When I check my event log, this is my error.
I tried to run a reset of those net.tcp settings in my command line, but the results came up saying I had no user information for such settings. The freeze happens every 20 minutes or so when not pressing anything, or when just sitting watching videos on youtube or listening to spotify.

Graphic Cards :: No External Monitor On HP 2000 2b89wm Laptop
Feb 10, 2016Ok so I recently updated to Windows 10 but now when I connect my laptop to my external monitor the laptop screen doesn't show up on the external monitor.
My laptop's screen is broken so I can't see anything. The laptop is still on the screen immediately after updating so I could blindly work my way through the update screens, but someone would have to upload pictures of the screens immediately after updating to Windows 10.

Aug 7, 2015I have mu music collection on a QNAP NAS. This is mapped as a network drive. I can add this a loacation for Groove to get it's music from but while it accepts this is doesn;t actualkly find any music even though it's there. Odd thing the old 'Music' app did work after the upgrade to 10 but then seemed to stop after the recent update when I think 'Groove' replaced it.I found this on a MS article: If you have music stored on a network or network access storage (NAS) drive:To use a network drive with the Music app:
The drive must be hosted by a Windows operating system.You must have Windows Search and Desktop Experience features installed.You must enable Indexing for the share. Aug 2, 2015I own an "HP 15-f010dx Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)." I recently upgraded my computer from Windows 8 to Windows 10. Ever since then when my computer goes to sleep mode I cannot turn it back on I as was able to do with Windows 8 by clicking or using the touch-pad. I know the computer is on because the light for the Internet on the keyboard is on, but it never gets out of sleep mode. I've tried changing the power settings, but to no use. The only way I can turn the computer back on is by holding the power button for about 10 seconds, shutting down the computer, then pressing it again to turn it back on. It's really annoying when all my apps get shut off and I have to open them all again because of this.

Aug 23, 2015I'm running Office 2013 and Windows 10. I also have my own personal Office 365 account.I have been using the Windows Store OneNote app with my personal Windows Account OneDrive since Windows 8. I now want to transition everything to my OneDrive for Business account.When I use the Windows Store OneNote app and try to add the OneDrive for Business Account, after I enter my login credentials, I just get a blank popup window with the "#" in the upper-left interior of the window. All I can do is close the window at that point.
I tried entering a wrong password, just to make sure that it was properly checking my credentials and that test passed, so it is definitely not a password issue. I authenticate, but then nothing is displayed in that popup window for me to complete the addition of the new account.Of course, if I use my Office 365 OneNote app, it works fine, no issues. But when I use the Windows Store OneNote app, that's when I get the problems I describe above.
The Desktop version, OneNote 2013, also works fine with my OneNote for Business/Office 365 notebook.Is there something I am doing wrong not have not setup correctly?
Lenovo E530 Notebook - Infinite Bootloop After Updating

I am using a Lenovo E530 notebook with a Kingston HyperX SSD and i updated from 10122 to 10130. When the install finished, i restarted my computer and since then i cannot do anything. Windows goes in an infinite loop. I see the windows logo, and it instantly restarts, then it says automatic repairing, and it restarts again. This thing goes forever.
Seems like I am not the only one getting this..
Windows Hotkeys Not Working On Lenovo G580 Notebook
Feb 10, 2016I have a Lenovo G580 Notebook with Windows 10 installed. The issue is that the Windows hotkeys, that is Windows key and other letter combinations, aren't working. For example, normally, if I press Windows key + I, then the Settings app should open up or if I press Windows key + R, then Run should open up. But the Start screen opens up instead in all such cases.
This is happening since I have updated the Synaptics touchpad driver via Windows Update. If I uninstall the driver, then the hotkeys start working again. But as soon as I install the driver, they stop working. This was not happening with Windows 10 before, even when the Synaptics driver was installed. It has suddenly started happening couple of months ago. Also I cannot completely uninstall the Synaptics driver because my laptop came with it itself nor can I stop the driver from updating as it is an important driver and it needs to be updated to be compatible with Windows 10.

Aug 30, 2015My HDMI Cable is not working on my Asus Notebook after I did the Windows 10 update. I have tried fixing the sound and resolution on control panel, i also made sure all updates and installation of apps are up to date, however, the TV doesn't seem to recognize the cable anymore, or the computer.
Tried changing the settings on the TV as suggested on one of these forums. I must be missing something.
